Greek fries
Rosa R.

My friends and I started our girls weekend in Erie at Rum Runners. We were hoping to sit outside but there was live music and all of the tables were taken. Fortunately there were empty tables inside and we were able to sit down right away. We still were able to hear the live music, which was nice. We ordered the Greek fries to start off with, but we're pretty disappointed when they came out. It was more of a chili cheese type of fries and we were imagining something else. My burger was pretty good. It wasn't my favorite place from the weekend but it was a good start!

I have never came here for the food, purely the drinks and live music. Ambiance is always nice (you get to watch the sunset from their patio). Their live bands are great too. Servers are nicer than the bartenders lol

Positive. A Happy place with good food and scenery. More fry's than we could eat made the 2 hour trip home better. Lake Erie Perch and clam strips were both done up right.

I stopped by to grab lunch and the staff is amazing! Everyone was lovely and the manager Jon was beyond helpful. He even made my lunch. A steak salad. YUM!! Stacked w greens, tomato, onion, egg and fresh French fries and home made ranch dressing. It doesn't get much better than this! Thank you staff for a great pit stop memorizable.

This was a nice spot for a quick lunch. My husband and I both enjoyed the perch. The service was top notch, and it was a relaxing experience.

Was staying at a hotel nearby and was looking for a casual waterfront spot to unwind after a day of traveling. We wandered over to Rum Runners. A casual, dive bar-esq place at the end of the pier. We had a Philly Dilly and a Turkey club. Nothing spectacular. But solid bar food at reasonable prices. Beer prices were great too. I was shocked to get two meals, two beers, and a pitcher of beer for under $40! A great place if you're looking for reasonable bar food, great drink prices and an amazing view. Sorry I forgot to take pix of the food. We were starving.

Outdoor bar on the bay!

I love this place for many reasons but mainly because it has an outdoor bar in the bay. It is small and I like that. Very good service and very good food. I love the environment in the vibe and I can't wait for next summer to go back!

It's a great location with cabanas and seating during a weekday. The margarita mix tasted a bit dated and were served in plastic cups. I guess I was expecting too much from this place though. I ordered the bucket of coconut shrimp and was pretty disappointed. 5 pieces and loaded with fries. The service was acceptable

If I could give zero stars I would. Waitresses are extremely rude. Would never go back. We felt like a bother to them.

Freaking awesome. Great place to enjoy a picnic table with the dog or inside in the air con (sans…read moredog). Easy, free parking. We are an hour away but we want everything on the menu. Loved the peach beer myself (just the one) and my spouse enjoy his 3 ipa's. Met good patrons, which always tells me about a place. Pickle pizza hit the spot! And to make it 100% id suggest adding Sriracha or ranch drizzle? It needed just one *something.* but also totally brilliant without.

We had been…read morelooking for a brewery in Erie to visit after the Erie Marathon whenever Lavery Brewing popped up on Yelp. This place is large and has both outdoor seating on the side as well as plenty of indoor seating. The inside looked like a mix of cozy and industrial, with a long wooden bar stretching the length of the room, warm pendant lights hanging overhead, colorful beer boards on the wall, and shelves lined with bottles and glassware behind the bar. It had a relaxed but lively feel to it. After looking around to figure out where we wanted to sit, we ultimately chose the bar. For lunch on this day I chose to go with the pimento smash deluxxxe while my wife went with the pesto pizza. The menu described my meal as two smash patties, bacon, American cheese, pimento cheese, and onion rings on a brioche bun while my wife's was described as parsley basil pesto, triple cheese blend, fire roasted tomatoes with a balsamic glaze. I thought that the burger here was delicious as the patties were seasoned nicely and I appreciated the onion rings. While there was plenty of cheese and it was flavorful, I almost could have used more of the pimento. Then my wife liked her pizza here especially the pesto combined with the fire roasted tomatoes. Then for drinks, as I often do whenever I visit a new brewery, I decided to go with a flight here. At Lavery Brewing, a flight consists of 6 beers and I chose the Active Recovery, Seeking Clarity, Lime n Cuke, Throwing Tropical Shade, Sound Mild, and Divine Intervention for my flight. I first started with the Active Recovery which was light and hoppy and very drinkable. Up second was the Seeking Clarity which had a clean start before a heavy dose of hops in the middle which surprisingly didn't linger. Third was the Lime n Cuke which has a strong cucumber smell and the drink itself is dry like most goses with a mild lime and stronger cucumber flavor. Fourth was Throwing Tropical Shade and you could really taste the orange and other tropical flavors with a finish flavor of coconut. For me this was a really delicious beer. Up fifth was the Sound Mild which was light but you got the nice flavor of those toasted malts at the finish. Last but certainly not least was the Divine Intervention which had a strong coconut flavor on the finish. Out of the bunch my favorite ended up being the Throwing Tropical Shade. The bottom line for me is that I would head back here again in the future. My wife and I both enjoyed the beverages and the food and we left both happy and stuffed.

The staff was friendly and engaging, chatty in the best way, attentive without hovering, so the whole meal felt relaxed and easy. I ordered the burger with bacon and American cheese, and it absolutely delivered: juicy, flavorful, and exactly the kind of comfort-food hit you're hoping for when you order a classic burger. Big bonus: it's a surprisingly great place for toddlers. Comfortable, family-friendly, and the kind of environment where you don't feel stressed bringing little ones along.

A bartender named Anastasia spent more time policing where girls were sitting and acting territorial over the boys, than actually doing her job professionally. My friends and I were ignored on multiple occasions while watching her happily serve everyone else around us, then tonight got told we "couldn't be" in a room with our own friends. We literally walked in for two seconds to say hi, not even intending to order drinks through her and got treated like we were committing a felony. The craziest part was watching a grown bartender run around talking about customers instead of actually bartending. If the energy spent gossiping and targeting certain people went into actual service, maybe this place would have something besides $2 drinks going for it. Never been somewhere that felt so unnecessarily immature, and uncomfortable. There are plenty of bars in Erie where the staff acts like adults. This just isn't one of them.
