We had a room in the newer portion which we were selfishly happy about. It was super bizarre though, when we got to our room it had to have been like 85+ degrees. It was so hot that we had to keep the sliding door open for like an hour. Even the complimentary water bottles were too warm to consider drinking. Super weird but we were able to fix the issue. During our stay we were able to easily walk to the holiday market down the road. We were excited the resort offered complimentary breakfast, but it was very underwhelming. There was very little space and just yogurt and granola and not enough left for our group to all enjoy, and no staff that we could find to ask for more. All in all the place was clean and we got what we needed out of the stay!

Maybe I am biased, but everything about it is perfect--decades-old wooden saloon doors, racing stickers covering every inch of the wall, dim lighting and old creaky floors, live music on some nights. Trinkets littered all over the bar. It is perfectly Wisconsin, and is exactly the same as I remember it as a child. Nowadays, it definitely feels like an ode to the resort, pre-renovation days. The people are always friendly. Will forever be going back here!

The Stop-Inn Tavern is a historic joint, and it's a great place to take in some of the area's racing history. In fact, some Indy Car drivers and other racers have been known to visit this restaurant.
