Service was fast. I guess a medium tenderloin in Louisiana is different from that of Wisconsin. The sandwich arrived quickly but the steak was very sinewy and hard to chew not to mention well done. I didnt finish the first bite. Pushed it away and took out my card to pay even though I didnt eat it. The bartender saw the virtually untouched sandwich didnt ask why I was paying for a meal I barely touched. She just charged my card and gave me the bill. I asked if she was the manager and she said no, asking why. I asked if she even noticed I took one bite and left that bite in that basket. She offered to take to meal off my tab but im not "that guy". I prefer to educate about short comings. The bill was 24.dollars and she still got a 10 dollar but but im not coming back. I hate being a softie. Im hoping she will pay more attention to the plates when she tabs out customer. Guess im off to find somewhere to eat. read more

We needed a quick place for lunch while in town before an event and looked to Yelp for help in finding a place. This spot fit the bill. It was pretty quiet having just opened on a Saturday for lunch. The bartender was also the waitstaff. He was helpful and efficient. I ordered their version of a muffuletta - it was pretty good and the toasted bun in butter was nice but it was not quite New Orleans good/ authentic. Another in our party ordered the chicken sandwich which was very good. The chicken was moist. They gave it a thumbs up. The side of hush puppies was solid. All were big servings. While traveling through Sheboygan, WI. With the help from YELP....we found this cool little joint. Bourbon Street Pub & Grill. Went in....not too crowded...but COVID is still around. Had to be cautious. A few "locals" were in there having conversations about "local" things. Madi Gras' beads were hanging around the place... very festive. Comfortable. We sat at the bar, ordered some beers and then food. My husband had the Gumbo....delicious!! He felt it was the BEST ever !! Great flavor, had just the right amount of spicy kick to it. I ordered the Muffaletta sandwich. It had a nice portion of meat on the sandwich. Delicious!! Compliments to the Chef ... which we found out had lived in New Orleans for several years. We are frequent travelers of New Orleans and were skeptical about trying Cajun food in Wisconsin. We were more than pleasantly surprised. The food was better than most restaurants in New Orleans. The gumbo was some of the best I have ever had. The service was so good it made the food taste even better. Definitely recommend and you should get a French quarter pils to wash it down. Stopped here for dinner while staying at Kohler-Andrea Stare Park (about a 15 minute drive). It was a slower Monday night, service was fast and our waitress was great helping us choose between menu items. We had the Gumbo-laya and a shrimp po' boy, and both were fantastic. The po' boy rivaled many New Orleans po' boy joints! Definitely choose the sidewinders over fries! They are kinda like curly steak fries and the only way to describe them is it's like eating crispy mashed potatoes. The outsides are crispy and the insides are soft & delicious! We walked in and it appeared there was a private party going on in the bar. We didn't receive the friendliest of greetings and not even what I would call a proper greeting, but I was far more interested in scoring some really good Cajun food! Our server seated us in the empty dining area then walked away and literally NEVER came back. We sat there and waited for at least 20 minutes without a menu or anything else. A hidden gem that more people should visit. Is a combo bar and dining area. Pleasant waitress had us seated quickly in the dining room and bartender was speedy. Had a group of 7 and we ate everything from gumbo and catfish to ribs and pasta. Fairly large menu so something for everyone. Meal was timed well, served hot and by all accounts really quite tasty. I used to spend a lot of time in Louisiana, and I missed the food there. My girlfriend pointed out to me that there is a New Orleans inspired restaurant in Sheboygan, and I lit up. We decided to go for a date night right away. We went relatively early, and we were the only table not at the bar- but the bar was rocking! It didn't matter that we were the only table, the server was very attentive and friendly, and was well informed of the menu. The noise from the bar was appreciated to dull the quiet of the dining room, that is except for the man loudly swearing and explicitly carrying on a half-screamed conversation. Someone eventually shut him up, and peace was restored. We ordered cocktails, mine was a hurricane and it was awesome. To start, I ordered a cup of the soup of the day because it was too unique to pass up: pepperoni pizza soup. It was oddly fantastic. I didn't think I would care for it, but I'll be damned if I don't crave it every now and then. For our entrees, I got the special, which was some sort of pasta with alligator and crawfish in it. It was great. I was pleasantly surprised to get gator, which is one of my favorites, and they did it really well. My girlfriend got the Taste of Bourbon Street ($14.95). That includes Cajun Mac and Cheese, Gumbo, Blackened Catfish, and dirty rice. She loved it, especially the catfish. It was a fun atmosphere that had lively sounds and good food. At some point, the waitress even brought us Mardi Gras beads. It was a great date night. Lived here a few years now and surprisingly have not been in. Pleasant surprise, atmosphere was bright, friendly & clean. Ordered a great Brandy OF, maybe 3. Looked over the menu and decided on the Broasted Chicken entree. Started w/salad, nice, fresh and greens no less, not the lazy iceberg most use. Was looking forward to the house made pub chips with that chicken. Boom, the chicken was on point!! Hot, moist and tasty!! Splashed some Louisiana Hot Sauce on it and the chips, on like Donkey Kong. If anyone is ordering carry out, make sure to check the order prior to leaving. If anything is missing, you will only have the option to pick it up prior to 4 pm the following day. I paid an up charge for cornbread and did not get it with my to go order. It doesn't sound like a big deal, but it is when I drive 20 minutes (one way) to buy dinner. $32 plus a tip and they wouldn't even add the cornbread onto a future order for me? Here are the two options they gave me over the phone: 1) Leave my dinner at home while I make the long drive, for a second time, to pick up the cornbread. Then return home to enjoy a cold meal. 2) Stop in prior to 4 pm the following day to pick up the cornbread. I asked if they could just add it to my next carry out order and they said no. That seems pretty ridiculous to me when we order food once a week. $32 plus a tip and they cannot even accommodate the customer after their mistake! On a side note, the food is great. We went at 5PM and I guess that's too early from the normal crowd, as it was empty! Still, the service was really good and friendly. The Jalapeño cornbread was thankfully not sweet and the spice from the small chunks of peppers was awesome! The salsa I ordered on the side just tasted like Pace, but there is tobasco and cholula on the table! Bit miss for me: The red beans and rice are far from authentic and rather bland, which is a huge no-no for a cajun-style restau!! The sweet potato fries are just OK. Visted on a whim and had a late lunch - the dining area was empty but waitresses were still sanitizing :) Friendly servers, answered all of our questions and made recommendations. Everything was very good - nice side salads and generous portions. We were really excited about their menu, but a little disappointed with the quality and flavor when we got our dishes. The gumbo was not saucy in any way, which was weird, because it was served in a bread bowl. So it ended up being thick, dry rice and meat in a bread bowl. We couldn't tell the difference between the hush puppies and the corn bread, and both were pretty dry. The catfish was served with too much butter. Maybe I just don't like catfish. It was my first time having it, to be fair. I am still deciding whether or not to try this place again. Maybe get different dishes to see if it was a fluke? I would not have guessed that yummy Cajun food is what I'd get in Sheboygan, but it's exactly what I got. Everything was great, from the happy-hour two-for-one Spotted Cow drafts, to the soup of the day (a lobster chowder, OMG), to the Rajun Cajun pasta, which had just the right amount of zing (and made for a great lunch a couple days later). Another GREAT place in Sheboygan. The food is delicious and very affordable. If you get a salad try their Ranch dressing...best in Sheboygan. For an entree you can't get better ribs anywhere in town. If you're looking to drink they have great happy hour specials and even if you don't make it for that they are affordably priced. The service is spectacular, the bartenders and waitstaff are very friendly and later in the night the locals come to hang out...which can get interesting. OMG!!! This place is the BOMB!!! Big lover of Cajun food and I've had it from a lot of places throughout the US including many places in NOLA. We once again hit up this bar in Sheboygan for all night happy hour in Sheboygan. It was bittersweet considering that this is my last week in town (moving out to the west coast), but had to at least hit this place up one more time. This go-round we opted for the chicken wings (Cajun style) and Cajun skins. The chicken was amazing. It was crispy and cajun to the max. The skins were standard. I grabbed the blackened catfish plate with red beans and rice and Cajun fries. I was extremely full. Other unique items my party had were the jambalaya which came in a bread bowl! Cool! Our son loved his ribs and the barbecue sauce is yummy! My sister had gumbo and then jambalaya which tasted about the same. I saw someone eating the catfish, and I think I would try that. Recently stoped here on a Friday night for dinner looking for some Cajun inspired food. We have spent some time in Louisiana and Mississippi and had some awsome food while there. I was not expecting the same experience while visiting this establishment but was pleasantly surprised by several dishes, those were the crawfish pasta which was creamy and spiced really well, ang the gumbo which was really good based on my previous experiences down south. I was dissapointed by the cajun catfish, and the small amount of rice that accompanied it. The cajun mack and cheese was spiced really well and tasty. Loved the bar, two for one happy hour every night of the week. The service at both the bar and dinning room was fast and friendly. We will be back to try other offerings. read more

I have been going here for years. The food is excellent. I love the jambalaya and the quesadillas could be a meal all by themselves. Many I their other food selection are great as well. I had alligator there once, which was a first. It was great! Too bad they don't have it all the time. The perch on Fridays is delicious as well! My only complaint is that at times the service from the bartenders is spotty. Other than that this is one of my favorites in Sheboygan. read more

I want to like this place, I really do. It's cute, the staff is great, looking at the menu you think "Wow, they really have some different things on here!" But then you get a bowl of glop with stringy meat in it and some off flavor that you wonder if you'll be sick tomorrow and you think "I should have stuck with the sweet potato fries....sigh."
