    Steak Tacos California

This restaurant has good food and very friendly people. I had the California tacos and chips and salsa. Prices were very reasonable.

We were going to meet friends for lunch at El Caminos. Our lunch date was at 1300 hrs, but our first choice didn't open until 1400 hrs. So we decided to try this restaurant. We walked in and were quickly greeted by a hostess who took us to a nice booth with views of the Sheboygan River. I ordered chili rellenos, two ordered cheese enchiladas, and one got steak tacos. All of our food was stellar and service was attentive and friendly. Vegetarian friendly, I liked the side order of black beans. The guacomole was great tasting and large. The salsa was mild, but you can request hotter. I'm glad we had to change our plans. This is a classy restaurant and it was fortunate that we ended up here. If you're looking for a Mexican food fix it would behoove you to patronize this fine place.

Nice authentic Mexican restaurant. Loved the decore and plenty of options on the menu. Full service bar. We went right after the lunch time rush so we were able to get in and out quickly. You have to pay at the front which wasn't really communicated. Good value for the price.

We enjoyed Pacifico for lunch on a weekday. The location is great, right on the river, and the interior had a bright, clean, tropical theme. We had some good food while we were there. Avocado salad was light and refreshing. Veggie fajitas came out super hot and were light on the oil. Everything was quite good, but also felt like something was missing in flavor. Similarly, chips and salsa had some great chips, thin and very lightly salted, but the salsa was very mild and could've used a big kick up in spice and flavor. I would recommend dropping in to try it.

Food was good and plentiful. Restaurant lost a star for their Southwestern Egg rolls. Paid almost $6 for 2 eggrolls that were cut in half to make 4 pieces and filling was not southwestern. It was more like a spicy and sour coleslaw mix. Not a big fan and disappointed in the amount. Lost another star for service. Our appetizer came after our meal, about 10 mins after our meals. Our server was gone too long to refill our water too. Other than that, beautiful view and great location. Drinks were delicious and strong. Would recommend and definitely come back.

Great food, the shrimp Chimichanga was excellent. Service was slow at first but improved.

Mediocre food for a high price, better Mexican food can be had elsewhere in Sheboygan.

f you're in Sheboygan and not eating at Black Pig, respectfully, what are we doing?…read moreThis meal had me wondering why I don't make the trip to Sheboygan more often! Black Pig was such a great find, and everything we tried was packed with flavor. We started with the White Truffle & Black Pepper Bacon Fries, because regular fries simply weren't invited. The truffle and black pepper added so much flavor, and these were the perfect way to kick things off. Next up was the Shellfish Rangoon, filled with crab, scallop, and shrimp and topped with tahini-cabbage slaw and pineapple sweet & sour. The combination of flavors was unexpected but worked so well. Then came the Black Pig Cheeseburger, an 8 oz Niman Ranch USDA All-Natural Prime Beef burger with Hooks 1-year aged cheddar, lettuce, tomato, onion, and a house-made brioche bun. The burger was flavorful, juicy, and satisfying. I finished with the Endless Rhubarb Summer mocktail, made with rhubarb shrub, lime, simple syrup, ginger ale, and dehydrated lime. It was refreshing and the perfect way to round out the meal. The service was amazing from start to finish. The staff was friendly, attentive, and welcoming, which made the entire experience even better. I also loved how spacious and clean the restaurant was. It has a comfortable atmosphere that makes you want to sit down, enjoy your meal, and stay awhile. Overall, Black Pig is absolutely worth the drive from Madison. Great food, creative flavor combinations, amazing service, and a spacious, clean atmosphere. I came hungry, and Black Pig definitely delivered.

As you might expect, the menu is decidedly pig-forward, although there are plenty of other excellent options. The Wine Spectator- recognized wine list is absolutely incredible, featuring many bottles you would be hard-pressed to find even at high-end restaurants in much larger cities. We started with the Belly Belly Nice appetizer, featuring thick-cut Duroc bacon served with three dipping sauces. All were delicious, but the whole-grain mustard was an absolute must. The duck confit leg and thigh was ridiculously good, easily one of the five best duck dishes I've ever had. Others at our table enjoyed the Big Pig Burger, which was juicy and packed with unique flavors. Another standout was the grilled Ibérico pork pluma, which was prepared beautifully. I would make a special trip back to Sheboygan just to eat here again. It was truly that good!

My dad ordered the beef Marsala pasta, which was a generous serving and he seemed to enjoy it. The rest of us ordered different pizzas - everyone liked their choice but there were a couple standouts. The walnut was a revelation, walnut puree, fontina cheese, whipped cream cheese, mushrooms, and roasted walnuts. It was unique and tasty. My truffle pizza was also excellent, with authentic flavor and not the overwhelming fake truffle notes you sometimes get. The sausage pizza was also good, according to my BF.

It was IMPOSSIBLE to talk to each other. It was so loud, we were basically yelling at each other, the waiter too. Our table was so tiny, it barely had room for our food. What if we had ordered more? Our waiter was super nice and very knowledgeable. However, when he was telling us about the pasta special, we both heard him talking about adding berries to it. But when it came it, we were confused what he was even talking about. The pizza was great BUT only when you eat it fresh. After it got to room temp/cold, all you could taste was the burnt crust. Unfortunately, now that it's off my list of place to try, I probably would not go back. Also, we had to wait 30mins which was fine but a party of 2 who came AFTER us, got seated before us.

Looked into why even with 5 reviews (5 star) it was ranked #2 in searches of restaurants near our stay. There's a cluster of Hmong restaurants and a bakery on this block and more on the street! Went with the Hmong sausage based on prior reviews and got the stir-fry bamboo with pork for something interesting and a taste contrast. Sausage is moist not dry and uniquely paired with the purple sticky/wild rice. Bamboo shoots are more fresh rather than fermented (I know some prefer the complexity of the latter), but this does not ruin the dish - here the flavors are bright and complementing those of the basil. Noticed the tendon/pork belly soup at $5 and this is a must even to share. This is probably the core beef broth they use in their soups served with sliced beef tendon and pork belly. It's a great complement to the meal with a peppery (rather than spicy) kick in the broth. I enjoyed it with a little white rice mixed in. Wound up ordering a nava dessert rather than a drink for the same price. Good coconut base plus a beautifully arranged layers of colored tapioca, and cendol. Amazingly, I still had room for the turkey Reuben with waffle fries. It was an interesting twist and a slightly healthier alternative to a traditional Reuben. If you tell us the wait is 40 minutes and we are seated in 45 minutes, we won't complain. But if you say the wait is 10-15 minutes and we have to inquire about what's going 40 minutes later and it turns out you can seat us immediately, the front of the house management is not doing their job very well. (At least it was pleasant outside and we enjoyed strolling up and down the marina checking out all the boats while we were waiting.) Once we were finally seated, everything was fine. Our server greeted us promptly. Drinks were delivered shortly after we placed our order and the food came to the table not long after that. I ordered the brisket sandwich with a side of potato salad. Compared to BBQ brisket I've had elsewhere I'd give it a six out of ten, not bad but far from the best (but I really didn't expect a place in Sheboygan to top places in Kansas City or Memphis for example). I sampled all their sauces (none of which wowed me) before settling on one that brought a touch of heat to the palate. The potato salad was a tad one-note -- it needed a touch of acid and a bit more texture, I.e. crunchy vegetables. All in all, Parker John's was okay -- but I won't be rushing back anytime soon.
