The service was especially awful tonight. Ordered 3 sodas and a wine. Wine and one soda came. 10 minutes later we had to ask again for the remaining sodas. Ordered an onion soup "to start". All the food came at one time. We saw the soup sitting at the counter for 10 minutes. The waiter just ignored it (and us) for almost the entire time. After the food was served we were all but ignored the remainder of the night. Couldn't get refills without having to flag the waiter down. However they were incredibly fast to pick up dishes nearly diving into the table to snag the empty plates without even so much as an "excuse me" Tired of crappy service. First time visiting on a busy Saturday night, and everything was awesome. Our server Colby was friendly and very efficient. I like the vibe of the place, especially the huge outdoor patio. I can't wait to go back in the fall to use it. Limited tables, but there's plentiful bar seats and seating outside. I love the beers I got. My husband and I split a pizza. He loved it. Went to Runabout Brewing a few days ago. This used to be Gatlin Hall, and it's been completely revamped and remade. Both the inside and outside are totally different now. Gatlin Hall felt more like a semi food court before, but Runabout has turned it into a full brewery with their own kitchen. One thing worth noting: if you remember Gatlin Hall as being very kid-game-friendly, this is not really that same environment anymore. Not a bad thing at all, just something to be aware of depending on what you're looking for and remember if you went before. Kids are welcome though. The beer selection is solid. I had the Mexican Lager and it was crisp and really easy to drink. I didn't get a full entrée, but I did have the hummus platter and it was really good. I'm full of more mixed up feelings than a drink writing this review as parts here were really good and parts were really bad and then parts just got interesting... So we came here one random cold night and it was literally just us as we were on the patio which is doggie friendly and then one other small group inside. We were seated outside and our service was awesome as we were always checked on and being one of the only groups here it was nice to be remembered, we didn't ask for much just the usual drinks and dinner so let's dive into it! We ordered a flight and I just say each of the beers were just average with nothing really making me want to buy a pint of them my favorite being the Cuke as it was just strange with the cucumber and basil like it wasn't good by it wasn't bad it just had a very unique taste for a brew and let's just say it's the only one that stuck out to me as I also ordered a pint of their west coast ipa and it was just what it should be but in a average way. Then came out good my lady enjoyed her mushroom pizza she said it was good but not her favorite of the night as both her and I both enjoyed sharing the whisky onion soup as it had a really good flavor and was definitely the best thing we had here even better than the beer! My fried chicken sandwich was blah flavorless and really needed some help and if that wasn't enough the fries that came with it were soo salty that I really didn't care much for them. Visited a couple of friends in Orlando and wanted to have a drink after. Saw this place on Yelp and had to give it a shot for the high ratings. Walked in and was sat in front of the TVs, just in time for the last quarter for the Bills game. Our server, Sidney took care of us immediately. Explained the menu in its entirety. We got the Belgian Witbier and Mexican lager, shared a giant pretzel with beer cheese. We left in good spirits and a full stomach. Thank you, Sidney for our wonderful first time experience. We have been here before for drinks but decided we would have our annual Easter brunch here. The hostess was very friendly from the minute we walked in and although we were 30 minutes early for our reservation, she seated us very quickly. It's a super chill place that is not too noisy yet not too quiet, you can tell people are having a great time. The food was delicious , especially the baked oysters which flew off the table so there is no picture . I had a terrible first impression when I first walked in. I asked for a table, and the waitress said one just cleared and started cleaning it for me. A few minutes later, a lady I assume was some sort of manager walked by and gave me this look, then asked what I was doing (not really a way to greet someone is it?). I said I had already been helped and the waitress was cleaning the table for me. She immediately got all frantic and said very rudely "oh no you can't have that table. We are on a wait." Then proceeded to find that waitress and chastise her in front of me. I felt extremely uncomfortable and honestly would have left had it not been that I was meeting someone else there. I told her I'd just sit at the bar. Thankfully my night turned around because the bartenders that helped us were very nice and very welcoming. They had a great selection of beer, actual good quality wines (a rarity at a lot of breweries), and even some cocktails, plus lots of food options. I didn't order food, but my friend got the pretzel. It was definitely the most unique bar pretzel I've ever had. It had a crispy, almost fried exterior with this awesome spice, yet was still fluffy in the middle. My husband has come a couple of times and always spoke highly of his experience. It was my first time joining him for lunch on a Thursday. We were seated right away and given menus. I got the green sleeve cocktail which was right up my alley; vodka, cucumber, mint- YUM! We got a couple of options to share, Hanger steak and ale, 6 buffalo wings with ranch, 6 raw oysters (the James oysters). The steak, gravy and fries were such a delicious combination. I started with a cucumber beer (yes, cucumber!)--light, crisp, and genuinely refreshing. They've got a wide range of varietals with some creative flavor profiles for anyone who likes to explore beyond the usual brews. Now, the food... a bit of a mixed bag. The burger was the clear standout: juicy, flavorful, and a solid deal at $12. Onion rings left us guessing on whether they were house-made or not, and the French onion soup was surprisingly light despite being loaded with onions. Not necessarily a bad thing, just not the rich flavor I was expecting. No official kids' menu, but the appetizer list includes chicken tenders, and honestly, there are enough kid-friendly options to make it work. Runabout review Boy, did we find a great place for beer and food, seafood to be exact. Or more to the point, my wife found this place and it is a GEM! Unassuming from the outside, Runabout is far different on the interior. The tables and decor are welcoming and comfortable, way beyond what you'd expect for a strip mall locale. But we haven't even touched on the first reason to go here: Beer. Their beers are wonderfully crafted, unique and delicious! Roundabout has only been in operation for a year or so, yet their beers have the quality and character which ususally take a microbrewery years to develop. Rich flavor profiles, depth of taste, and appropriate viscosity for each different style. And also to love? This is not your typical, boring lager/ale/stout lineup that makes you go "meh" along the way to the better brews. They start strong with varied flavors and continue in the same vein all the way through their whole beer list. The second reason is their food. Just - wow. We had 4 dozen (yes, 4) of their $1.50 oysters on Happy Hour special and they were FAN-freaking-TASTIC! Large, clean, beautifully prepared by Alexi, the young gentleman shucker, these edible specimens of culinary seafood delight are not to be missed. Probably the best we've had, served in an ice filled, long metal tray w/cocktail sauce, horseradish, lemons, Tabasco, and crackers. We never eat that many oysters, but we couldn't resist these bad boys. Simply delish! The third and final reason is their staff - so courteous, personable, and helpful. Alyssa C was our server and she was a peach. Checked in at just the right intervals, brought us what we needed promptly, and was lovely and engaging to chat with throughout. I already mentioned Alexi the shuck-master, but the chefs were totally cool as well. Oh, and I forgot to mention the godlike cornbread they make, speaking of chefs... Get. The. Cornbread. Full stop. It is a rare restaurant which can make a cornbread that is light, moist, tasty, but the chef at Roundabout has it on lock. If I hadn't stuffed myself with two dozen oysters already, I'd've demolished the cornbread. Instead, I had enough to get hooked and took the rest home for a delightful snack. So yummy. Finally got to see what my neighbors in Edgewood were talking about. This is an excellent addition to your community. My friends came in from Cape Canaveral, and I suggested we try this place located in the Fort Gatlin shopping center. We were greeted right away and sat promptly. Delaney was out server, and she was a ray of sunshine from start to finish. She took our orders promptly, came back often to see if everything was to our liking and set a great tone for our lunch. They have a pretty extensive menu for a "brewery" as well as good cocktail and beer selections. We ordered the following: One friend requested the Bull & Hen Burger with a stout beer. The FGT (Fried Green Tomato) on the burger caught his eye and he was very complimentary of the burger and the stout. My other friend ordered the Benny Blanco pizza, which was a combination of mozzarella, ricotta, parmesan, roasted garlic and basil pesto. It also had a nice balsamic drizzle that added to the flavor. I tried a slice and loved it! I did the Whiskey Onion Soup and the Arugula and Spinach Salad, along with a lager suggested by Delaney. The soup was excellent, with a combination of melted Swiss and Gouda on thick garlic crostini toast. The salad was a hearty mixture of green apple, feta and pecans, served with a lemon citrus vinaigrette. It was very good but had a little bit too much dressing for my taste that tended to overpower the salad towards the end. If you prefer to limit your dressing, be sure to ask for that upfront. I'll know next time, but I still enjoyed the salad overall. The place is very spacious and inviting. It also has an outside covered dining area I would like to try next time. Our waitress (I wish I remembered her name) was absolutely phenomenal. She was kind, quick, attentive, not smothering. We sat on the patio and got devoured by mosquitos, so wear bug spray. We completely understand safety issues, but a gentleman behind the bar area wasn't very nice about it. Anyhow, one of the owners tried to converse with the kids and asked us how everything was. He was kind. We got pizza and wings and hubs got a beer. They took over the Gatlin brewing space and there's no areas in the back for doggies or kids to play like before. It's very nice but probably best to leave the kids home unless they're older. We definitely got some looks and it just made me feel uncomfortable. I really do like the renovation though. The pizza was fresh, not the best I've had but good. The wings are apparently marinated for 12 hours, but I didn't find it extraordinary. We got lemon pepper and garlic. Tara was sweet and attentive. As any good yelper does, I had studied the menu online and was all ready to order...except it was Sunday, at 1215 and they were serving Brunch and the menu was not the one I'd memorized lol. Feathers ruffled, we looked over a few starters/ appetizers and ordered the deviled eggs and bacon trio while we decided on entrees. They first bites arrived and wow! We devoured the Blue crab deviled eggs. (Note to chefs/restaurant owners-please stop offering deviled eggs in odd counts. Thankfully my fiancé was agreeable to splitting the last one but things could have gotten dicey lol) the bacon trio was good (the pimento cheese was the star!) but nothing mind blowing, still solid though. For entrees we ordered the hanger steak & eggs and the chicken & waffles. I also ordered the Tajin Age Dream as I'd seen it on the online menu and knew it was up my alley. It was the perfect drink. Balanced, tasty, not too sweet. Our entrees arrived and looked fantastic. We dug in. I really enjoyed the chicken and waffles. I'm not a big syrup person and for me it was just the right amount. Would have liked the chicken a little crispier but that's just a personal preference. I'd eat this again (actually I will for lunch today because I couldn't finish it!) My fiancé's steak was mostly medium well (he ordered medium) but it was still very tasty the ale sauce is delicious. His eggs looked to be cooked perfectly but he did report the home fries were "just ok". All in all this was a hit for us. The place can get loud when busy but that is often to be expected in places like this. We've tried many of the pizzas and most recently I tried the French onion soup and was very happy! There are not many great local seafood options in my neck of the woods so when Runabout opened I was very excited. They have been open for a while but I just recently spent a lot of time there. I have been instantly impressed. They have a HH with real deals. I love oysters and I don't normally get them anywhere other than Lee and Ricks but a dozen for $18 is a pretty good deal anywhere. Absolutely fresh as can be. shucked right in front of you. Also got a nice charcuterie board for $15. They have a great micro brew selection on draft. HH on drinks is $1 and 2$ off, makes it simple. Man, this place was great. I love the aesthetic, with a really cool bar and plenty of space. Kate, our bartender, was awesome. She was super helpful about the beers and everything on the menu. Everything and i mean everything was seasoned perfect, cooked fresh and came out hot. Great changes since the old spot! I came here with a couple friends to try the food and the drinks. First of all, they have a full liquor bar! That is good because I'm not a fake fan of beer. The food was spectacular! I had lemon pepper wings with blue cheese along with a Caesar salad. My friends tried the crispy pretzel which they said they had before but it was my first time. The restaurant looked a lot different than the old spot. Even though it had track lighting, which I like they had a lot of other different things that made the old bar look different. The service was exceptional! Every time we ordered a drink even though there was over 100 people in a bar it took no longer than 90 to 120 seconds to get a drink. I know this may be on the high side, but the servers were all attentive. The bar backs were also very conscious of what was going on. We were looking for an oyster happy hour special and settled on Runabout, partly because it is also a microbrewery. We were greeted and seated quickly. We ordered a flight of 4 beers; the wheat beer, a tart berry beer, a stout, and a Belgian Quad. They were all excellent. True to the styles but not boring, with clean, definable tastes, and nothing weird or funky. We started with 2 dozen oysters, which came on ice in a metal dish, complete with cocktail sauce, horseradish, hot sauce, lemon wedges, and crackers. The oysters were big, plump, and juicy-not a tiny one in the bunch, with the cleanest, freshest flavor possible. My husband got a side order of cornbread. It came in a little loaf, with a composite butter on the side. Warm and delicious! A little crumbly, but moist enough to press together. Just enough sweetness. We ended up getting another 2 dozen oysters. At $1.50 each, you can't go wrong. Our server was so sweet and attentive and stopped to talk to us several times when we called her over to rave about everything. We complimented the oyster shucker, Xavier, and he also came and talked to us. The ambience is modern but warm and comfortable, with an open kitchen and beautiful pizza oven. We dined at the bar around 7pm on Friday evening. *quick note- I work in the area but I never went to Gatlin hall while it was there, so runabout is completely new to me* I was very pleased with the atmosphere of the brewery and the decently sized dinner crowd was refreshing in a new local spot. The garage door to the patio is a great touch. I loved that the raw bar is open to sit at & not only were they doing that but they also had a chef in the center of the raw bar creating fresh to order charcuterie boards that are available on the menu. We didn't do boards this time but let's get into what we did have. We started with 6 medium oysters- $15 which I think is reasonable in a neighborhood brewery. & they were huge!!! They come with lemon, 1 mini tobasco & saltine crackers(upon request) BUT they have sauces you can add for $1!! Sign me up- the cucumber miggy is so refreshing. 10/10 recommend. They have cooked oysters as well. Fried green tomatoes- 3 breaded green tomatoes, but I never would have paired them with a red sauce, balsamic glaze & a dollop of pimento cheese on top. 10/10 no complaints on that dish. I will order that again. Lemon & thyme half roasted chicken with mini potatoes & local garden veg, which seemed to only be spinach but this could change & im willing to go back & find out. The dish was presented beautifully. It needed a tad bit of salt but honestly the gravy, the potatoes & the chicken were so perfectly cooked that you didn't bother stopping the bartender. It tasted like a home cooked meal & for $17, again, I will be back. Acqua pazza- a guest next to us ordered this & she agreed that it needed more veg but overall the dish was very good. Haddock filet over a bed of sautéed onions, garlic & spinach with a stewed cherry tomato sauce on top. Also needed a little salt but I believe the dish was designed to have a slightly sweeter approach due to the tomatoes & caramelized onions. -Ok and now the reason I really came to this place & almost any place I go to.... Dessert. HOT 5 layer chocolate cake, it was an immediate yes for me. I LOVED the berry compote they made to top the Ice cream & I am almost positive it was a house made whip cream. Extra compote for me next time please. The extra frosting and mini chocolate chips on the bottom of the bowl made me think "this chef might be a woman" idk who it is but either way, loved it! And then I needed a togo dessert- They make seasonal mason jar desserts- if they're eaten in, they dress it up. I took mine to go so they put the lid on & sent me on my way. They had banana pudding, Oreo, s'mores & key lime pie. Overall, seeing as this place just opened & it was 7pm on a Friday night, I can confidently say that I received better food & service for a great price than I have in a while around Orlando. Every restaurant opening has its hiccups but I think this is a really good option for the neighborhood & can/will get better. Thanks to our bartender Chris, another really nice bartender & barback. Small side notes: could change in future but as of 1/31, they did not have malt vinegar for the fish and chips. I know this is a game changer for people. Only N.A. options are mocktails mainly sweet or juice based. No N.A. beer, N.A. wine, or spirit-less. I believe they are Pepsi brand. Oysters were excellent! Service was terrible. They forgot our appetizer. Waitress was too busy with a "large" table. That we were informed of immediately. It was just my husband and myself we dont care about your other tables.... it seemed like that was her priority. By the time she came back to the table we were finished with our beers and oysters. We let her know our onion rings never came out and we decided not to order dinner. Lousy service all around. read more

The food was EXCELLENT! The Beer is award winning! The staff the absolute BEST!! I highly recommend this restaurant. Well worth it for the Food, if you don't happen to drink alcohol. Some of the best food I've had in awhile. We were there for a Pop-up and then the next day for Sunday Brunch. The Hanger steak blew me away! It was so delicious!
