I can't speak for the bowling, but I've now had brunch, lunch and dinner at Primrose Lanes Restaurant and I've truly enjoyed the food, drinks, and service every time. Maybe we've just gotten lucky lucky by avoiding peak hours, but we've been able to be seated immediately each time as well. I'll agree that the menu is on the pricier side, but the quality is worth it in my opinion. Yes, even the infamous $15 hot dog that everyone lost their dang minds over. I tried it for myself and it is very good, made in-house, and you can rest easy knowing it is now served with fries. The O.K.C. smashburger is also amazing! Other dishes to note are the pickle dip, the 'funyun' fried onions, and the hashbrown bites with smoked trout caviar. They did a great job renovating the space and still preserving some of the history of the iconic Colonial Lanes. In addition to the main restaurant and bar, there is another bar & lounge area with large TV screens for viewing sporting events, etc. and then of course, the bowling lanes which I have not tried yet. I really enjoy this as a good happy hour option for some appetizers and drinks with friends!

Stopped in for a drink and some food on a Thursday evening. When we arrived we were told the lanes were full and reserved for a while. It was not our intention to bowl that night so it didn't bother us, but seems like the lanes are popular so if you want to bowl I'd recommend making a reservation. We were seated quickly at a larger table and greeted by our server. We found out it was her first day on the job, but she did a great job and was very friendly. We decided to share some of the appetizers. We did the pickle dip without the hot sauce and it came with malt vinegar chips. The chips were a great balance of salt and vinegar to go with the dip. I really liked the dip. It was a good blend of dill and pickle. We also did the chicken tenders (tendies'). They were a little over fried for our preference, but the chicken inside was still moist and flavorful and not too dry. The sha' bang sauce was too spicy for me, but the ranch was delicious. All the sauces are made in house. Of course we had to try the hot dog as well. It was really good and flavorful. We asked for the mustard and relish on the side since I typically don't prefer any toppings on my dogs and prefer to take the flavors. This was a good flavor and cooked well on a toasted bun. We added the fries as well (which are like a shoestring style). I also tried the Purple Southside. It was really good and unique in the look, but light and refreshing. It did come with a lot of ice in the glass. I found out they mix the cocktails to measure accordingly and then pour over the ice. I was fine with that, but it did give the appearance of a smaller cocktail due to an overflowing cup of ice with my drink. The server only had our table while we were there so she was attentive, but didn't come by too often. It was not too busy, but we were there earlier in the evening.

I walked in with a small group and spent some time here, then walked out. I was disappointed as there was quite a bit of hype about this place on social media. I stopped by to inquire about throwing a group event here. I decided not to. This bowling alley took over Colonial Lanes (an old bowling alley) made it more aesthetic and trendy, and opened up. Ok, so it's a cool vibe. It seems like a good time! There were a lot of people there...so people are really excited to be at a new place, espcially due to all the buzz about it. However... This is incredibly expensive for what it is. It's taking the hipster trend and charging a lot. While the decor is nice, I want to be mindful of peoples' budgets, some of whom do not know each other. I will be picking another place for a social outing. Chicken tenders are called "Chicken Tendies" on the menu, and they are $16 (no fries included). A specialty coffee drink can cost $8. It's $5.50 for a latte. It is very expensive to not only bowl but also to eat or drink. A hot dog is $15 and a hot dog and fries is $20. It is $35 for pastrami and fries. I ordered a side of fries which were fine and needed to be cooked a little more, but the portion was decent enough to share with someone. These are NYC-level prices without...NYC. Floridians aren't used to this (nor do we make as much), so only time will tell us how this business does. Almost all of the new establishments in Orlando are charging a ton, it's discouraging to even be excited about a new place anymore. it is very heartbreaking to see "average" folks won't be able to do things outside of their home due to these types of businesses.

Love the old school feel of this place from the moment you walk in. Marianne, our server, was very friendly and attentive. Great service. I had the okc smash burger, delicious cooked to perfection. They offer a full service bar, and they have a 2 for $20 martini special a must try. Outside tables have jenga games and others to enjoy. You can dine and bowl or just dine in and enjoy the bar. They also offer a shop to take home memobilias. Plenty of parking onsite

Arrived at 6:30 on a Saturday and had a 20 minute wait, but was no issue because our party of 4 was able to snag drinks at the bar. Our party ordered the watermelon margarita (rave reviews), the lemongrass mule (the ginger beer was so good it would be delicious on its own as well), and the purple southside (flavors balanced out the gin well, making it a really refreshing but not overly sweet satisfying summer drink). We were brought to our table in under the originally promised 20 minutes and were served by Fallon. She was super attentive and very friendly. Five stars on the service! The group ordered two orders of the smoked blt with a a side of fries and two orders of the smash burger. Both mains were great and very filling. One side of fries is enough for two people. The atmosphere was great - props to the interior design on respecting the retro of the original bowling alley while updating it to make it feel super hip. The only reason for 4 stars rather than 5 is for the pricing - while the drinks and food were delicious, the price point was high for this elevated (highly) bar food.

This is unbelievable. This has so much to offer. Elevated breakfast with the bright and complex flavors of the caper lemon toast. Omg the buffalo chicken tenders- I haven't had anything like it in Orlando. Orangey, citrusy perfectly fried tendies. To accompany my breakfast, one of the best lattes I have had, with amaretto flavor. It is a cozy place to get work done but the most impressive charateristic this place has is its exceptional service. I am a Robinson fan, this definetely carries the passion in the craft and service. Special shout out to Valerie who was so passionate about the menu and anticipated my pallate so perfectly! Everyone is so gregarious and passionate. Cant wait to play on the bowling ally side.

We ordered the buffalo chicken egg rolls and the deviled eggs (with no bacon) as appetizers. For our new drinks we got margaritas, I got a regular margarita and my partner got a passion fruit margarita. For entrees, I had the famous fried chicken and my hubby had the meatloaf. The ambiance of the restaurant was nice, relaxed, they keep the shades lowered during the day to reduce that sun intake and it's lovely. It feels nice and relaxed in here no matter the weather outside. Again, we enjoyed the experience but the service was fairly slow. We had to pretty much know what we wanted by the next time we saw our server or flag her down to get her attention. She was waiting about 4 tables on our area. We were party of two.

We started with the She Crab Soup, which was rich, creamy, and absolutely delicious. I then ordered the Dirty Rice Entrée, and wow--what an explosion of flavors! It reminded me of a New Orleans-style paella, loaded with perfectly seasoned dirty rice, andouille sausage, shrimp, and an incredible depth of flavor in every bite. My husband began with the French Vegetable Soup, which he described as magnificent, followed by the Short Rib Sliders, which were tender, flavorful, and expertly prepared. For dessert, we indulged in the Peach Cobbler à la Mode, topped with vanilla bean ice cream. It was decadent, comforting, and the perfect ending to the meal. To top it all off, we enjoyed a frothy cappuccino served with a rock candy sugar stick--a beautiful finishing touch. The food, presentation, service, and atmosphere were all exceptional. We can't say enough good things about our experience and look forward to returning. Highly recommended!

In terms of the food, it was all really wonderful. The chicken and dumplings came with this delicious sauce that I couldn't get enough off. The potato dumplings were alright, but the seasoning and mix of the sauce was perfect for the chicken. The serving size was good as well and there was barely any bone to interrupt eating it. My girlfriend said that the steak was cooked perfectly medium as they asked. The steak sauce paired really well, and they had enough for leftovers, and enjoyed it even more the day after. The Mac & cheese was alright, we just wish there had been more of a crunch to the cheese. However, we both really liked the shape of the pasta as we don't really see those as often. Also not depicted here, but we got the cocktail shrimp. My girlfriend loved this one too, specifically noting how large and cold the shrimps were. The cocktail sauce was delicious and had a nice kick to it, and definitely squeeze the lemon that comes with it on the shrimp. Since it was an anniversary, they surprised us with complimentary dessert that was phenomenal. My girlfriend doesn't really like cheesecake or coconut, but somehow loved the dessert. It's an off menu item but it blends coconut, cheesecake, and a brownie.

Both dishes were expertly prepared and served by Neici, our server. The restaurant itself exudes a fine dining atmosphere, which is a pleasant surprise for amusement park fare. Neici guided our attention to the open window overlooking the protein preparation area, which provided an interesting spectacle of chefs and kitchen staff at work. Our dining experience would have been exceptional had it not been for the initial seating arrangement by front desk staff. Although we were the second party in line for the opening at 4 pm, we were directed to an adjacent window dining area where a large portable fan noisily circulated air onto our assigned table. The logic behind seating an early guest at this table is unclear, as the main dining area and the adjacent dining area remained unoccupied. The front-end staff's decision resulted in the loss of the restaurant's 5-star rating, not our server or the food. Our server, Neici, was exceptionally knowledgeable and pleasant, encouraging our return. She even recommended returning to City Walk after 6 pm for complimentary parking and enjoying the restaurant and parks' evening hours. We would welcome her service on a future visit.

However, I was surprised that the bar bites and appetizers were still fairly expensive, so the food specials didn't feel like much of a bargain. We started with the coconut shrimp, the short rib tacos, and the bread service, and all three were fantastic. The coconut shrimp was crispy and flavorful, the short rib tacos were packed with flavor, and the bread service was the perfect way to start the meal. Everything was off to such a great start that we had high expectations for our entrée. Unfortunately, the chicken-fried steak (which is actually made with beef despite the confusing name) was a huge disappointment. The meat was incredibly tough, to the point that it was difficult to chew, while the breading ended up being the most flavorful part of the dish. The broccoli tasted like plain steamed broccoli without any seasoning, and the mashed potatoes were just average and didn't add much to the plate. The entrée was disappointing enough that we asked for it to be taken back and chose not to have it remade. What made the experience more frustrating was how it was handled. Neither the owner nor a manager came by to ask what went wrong or gather any feedback. We were also offered dessert in a way that made it sound complimentary, but it ended up being added to our bill, which was confusing. One other thing that stood out was seeing the owner speak rather sharply to an employee over a white towel hanging from his pocket. It may have been a minor issue, but it could have been addressed more privately. On the other hand, every other staff member we interacted with was friendly, attentive, and happy to answer questions or offer recommendations. The restaurant itself has a beautiful atmosphere and is definitely a nice spot for a date night. I can absolutely recommend stopping by for drinks and appetizers, especially during happy hour. Unfortunately, the entrée and the way the situation was handled kept the experience from living up to the expectations set by such a strong start. While I'm glad we gave it a try, I don't see myself returning.
