Staff is helpful & knowledgeable, but the selection is limited (ie only 2 options for women's trail shoes). They have treadmills to test the shoes and offer nutrition (gels etc), socks, a couple accessories & clothes, and of course shoes. This store seems lower traffic than other fitness stores so it usually probably a great option if you want to discuss your specific needs in depth with staff. Plenty of parking. read more

I live in Herriman (SLC) Utah but I work in Seattle, WA and travel back and forth. I came home for a wedding and while here I received direction from my employer to work from home in SLC but there is one big problem ..... all of my running gear is in Seattle ..... time for a trip to see the great people over at the RUNGR8 Running Store. I walked in the door and was greeted by Blake who went right to work making sure I got everything I needed. He did an analysis of my running by filming me on a treadmill, he measured my feet, he checked my pressure points, showed me the results of all of the testing and got me into a perfect pair of Brooks #Brooksrunningshoes shoes that feel amazing on my feet and look great. I was able to pick up some Elite Max Cushion Running Socks and the price for everything was a good deal. There were a few clothing items and accessories that I would have grab if they had them but their winter running clothes were in short supply. All in all, I love this store and the service was incredible, if I have any running needs while in SLC this is where I will be shopping. I'm really disappointed in this store for not following the CDC guidelines better yet and most importantly the Governor‼ this is not an "essential business" yet they have remained open. Now as we are approaching "soft" reopening of the State not because the threat is over, BUT to help the small business and the overall economy.... baloney. The Governor and the CDC have begged people to still social distance and too WEAR A MASK-- it's not hard people. Awesome business like Costco require customers to wear a mask or you don't get to come in, it's that simple. So this is my experience with this small business-- I really needed specific features in an athletic shoe and I have been shopping online, chatting with a virtual agent-- finally decided on a couple shoes and these puppies, in my opinion are expensive , but luckily I had a special 30% off code to use at checkout. so after choosing a couple of items and putting them in my cart-- an internet message popped Up that I could get these faster if I bought them locally and an address popped up so I thought to myself " ugg I I should support local-- so I called them. Asked a few questions and they invited me down to run an evaluation on my feet... (which they did NOT perform) when I arrived I donned my mask, and cleaned my hands however I was greeted by a nice young man WITHOUT a mask-- true he immediately asked if I preferred him to put one on but now he has already been near me and spiked without one! ugg no brainer but at this point he he had already approached me less than 6 feet He proceeded to help me, but did not wipe down the treadmill on handles and touch screens. When an employee came from the back room he wore a mask, great, but then 2 more customers entered this small store this went sour both ways the clerk allowed the custoomer to pull him away from helping me and NEITHER customer wore a mask.,. So frustrating and annoying. At this point I was wishing I had pressed " proceed to checkout" and just bought my shoes in the convenient privacy of my own quarantined space. So much for doing the right thing and the supportive thing. I got so frustrated and felt so disrespected by the help and the stores lack or responsibility to require customers to wear a mask. I abruptly left I was so irritated and they lost $150 plus sale I was still sitting out front of the store in my car ( tweeting with the Governor's staff member) when the other customers left the store empty handed...hmmm no purchases from them either... I'm sticking with the safer option--- shop online it's the way if the future read more

Very nice local business. This is my first time buying shoes from them. I'm not sure if it was the owner that I was dealing with that he was extremely friendly and his cashier was also very nice. They gave me plenty of information about the shoes and even though they were closing I was not rushed. I need to be better about timing :-) Afterwards they explained that if I had any problem with my shoes and I could come back and exchange it for something different with in 30 days. I always like that because you never know when you're switching brands if the shoe will work. It's a small store but there's a huge selection and again extremely friendly staff. read more
