Glass of Cab.

I needed to find a place to read for a couple hours and just my luck a winery's tasting room just happened to be there! Very good wines at a very reasonable price, great service, and some very good food. I'll definitely one y some time when I'm not reading!

Slushie flight at running vines In Chesterton.

The slushie wine flight at Running Vines was a cute concept, but unfortunately, the execution fell short. The drinks were heavily watered down by the ice, which took away from the flavor and overall experience. I'm also not a fan of lavender and politely asked if I could substitute the lavender drink for another option. The server took the drink back and returned saying she couldn't make the substitution, but she never brought the original drink back so I could at least offer it to someone else at my table. As a result, I was left paying for a drink I never touched. What made the situation more frustrating was seeing another table receive sample drinks and accommodations while my simple request was denied. There was no offer of a replacement, partial credit, or alternative solution. It wasn't until I mentioned that I would be leaving a review that I was finally offered another drink. For a $20 flight, I expected better customer service and a greater willingness to accommodate reasonable requests. The atmosphere was nice, but the customer service left a lot to be desired.

Sat outside and it was really nice! My hub tried the variety flight and I tried the sweet flight wine. Very good and Marathon was our favorite! Mia was a great server and welcomed us in for the first time! Had a charcuterie board and it was delicious with meat, cheese, cucumbers grapes and several dips. We will be back to try more!

What a wonderful surprise! A few friends and I were looking for a little stop off the highway between Chicago and New Buffalo. So glad we took a chance! The ambiance was homey and the service excellent! We only did flights but decided Muscat and 1/2 Marathon were our favorites! The Friday evening music was the best to sing along to! Definitely making this a tradition for our way out to the wine trail!

This place gives all the best Gilmore Girls vibes! It's right across the street from the cutest gazebo! It's a very esthetic, well decorated restaurant! Every wine I tried was yummy and Mia was very friendly and attentive, made us feel very welcomed!

Chill, soothing restaurant with great sips from wine to slushies and everything in-between. Friendly service, relaxing cozy vibe, weekly fun events - what's not to love?

This is such a cute, fun place. They do have a patio if you prefer to sit outside. The staff was very friendly, fun, and helpful. Great service! We ordered a pizza and an appetizer and it was fantastic. I ordered a blush wine and it was very good. They play Singo every Sunday, which I have never played before. It was entertaining and fun. Next time I am in town, I am definitely stopping back in. Oh, and if you go this fall try their slushy....so good! A new favorite!

We had an amazing Saturday at this establishment. The service is fantastic, good was great and of course drink variety for wines and also non alcoholic varieties. We came from the Westside of Chicago with 45 women, Kehrein Center for the Arts and Gone Again Travel & Tours.

Never disappoints! The food is superb! The drinks incomparable! Nicki is phenomenal and a genuine joy! If you come to visit the dunes and do not venture in, you are truly missing out! Great atmosphere and out door patio!

Thought we were going to a winery, it wasn't it was even better. Very cute small restaurant with wine and other beverages. Started with a flight on sweet wines, very tasty. Then, special drinks pumpkin spice martini and a cinnamon Maple sour both were great. Last, we had the spinach artichoke pizza also great. The charcuterie board looked good. Serve was great.

Our tour guide was a retired high school history teacher and football coach with all sorts of interesting stories about the region. We passed Mount Baldy, the "living" sand dune that moves, at Indiana Dunes National Park and made it all the way down to a good view of the Century of Progress homes before making our way back. We also got to hear all about the ship, the Emita II, which is a historic ship from the 1950s, and about how it reached its current home. It was also very cute that Captain Jan had the kids come up and take turns at the wheel on the way back. There is a snack bar on the lower level of the boat, and there are restrooms on board. Free parking is available a little walk away - walk towards the Lighthouse Museum, as the dock is behind there. Definitely a great adventure!

Only complaint is there was a group with a person who should have been cut off from being served any more alcohol but her friends bought it for her. My group of nine (eight women and myself) booked a winery tour with South Shore Brew Bus, and…read moreunfortunately our experience with our driver, Mark, left us feeling uncomfortable and unsafe by the end of the day. To start, Mark seemed friendly enough--he offered to take photos at each stop and gave us the rundown of the day. He mentioned that he had "seen it all," from wild bachelorette parties to loud groups, and reassured us that nothing we did would surprise him. Even with that, something about the vibe felt a bit off from the beginning. The girls in our group tried to include him in little moments and keep things light, but as the day went on, his energy felt stranger and more uncomfortable. The real issue happened at our last stop. Instead of Mark taking our photo like he had at every other winery (where he took multiple vertical and horizontal shots each time), I asked a random woman to do it. Right as she was about to snap the picture, Mark walked up quickly, told her he'd handle it, and took the phone from her. When one of my friends politely asked him to make sure the sign was in the background--just like he had done all day--he reacted rudely and visibly annoyed. He took only two rushed photos and handed the phone back without a word. Our entire group exchanged looks because the shift in his demeanor was so sudden and uncomfortable. Then, on the ride home, the situation escalated. Mark kept flooring the gas repeatedly, something he had never done during the previous six drives between wineries. Despite previously priding himself on being a safe driver, none of us felt safe at all. It completely ruined the end of our trip and made every woman on the bus uneasy--especially concerning given that we were a group of drinking adults trusting him to get us home safely. After we arrived back, one friend calmly addressed her concerns to him. Instead of apologizing, he got defensive. He eventually admitted he "overreacted" and said he was offended that she asked him to get the sign in the background because he's "been doing this for six years and knows how to take a photo." It was bizarre behavior, and at that point we simply tipped him and asked him to leave because he was making everyone extremely uncomfortable. Overall, our day started off great but ended on a very unsettling note. For a service that's supposed to provide a fun, relaxed, and safe experience--especially for groups of women--I can't recommend South Shore Brew Bus based on this encounter. I would strongly consider booking with a different tour company.

Our driver was patient the entire time when some of the groups got a bit rowdy and overall was a great guide. Things were mostly on time (our initial pickup was a little late) and everything went seamlessly from winery to winery without any issues. They picked fantastic wine spots to visit and we were all very impressed with the entire experience. I booked this for my friend as part of her bachelorette party and it was perfect for that! There was also another small group of girls for a birthday and a few couples there, so really it's for anyone. I can confidently recommend the tour with Windy City Tour Company to visit lower Michigan wineries! It's the best way to get picked up in downtown Chicago, be driven from place to place in Michigan, then get driven back home. Don't drink and drive, be responsible and use Windy City Tour Company!

They kept pushing back saying I will have the credit waiting for me for when I book again but I didn't know when that would be and just wanted a refund. I then hear nothing and ask for the status. They informed me then I was now 19 days away and they have to charge me 10% fee for not being within 22 days as that is their policy even though I had booked the trip only 3 days before. Any company this rude and that makes you go through this many hoops just to cancel a reservation is not someone I ever want to do support! They need to improve their customer service and I certainly will NEVER book with them in the future!!!
