I generally stick with my same stylist that I've had for years, even though he's an hour away. I do jump around on occasion for change plus for the convenience of not having to drive so far. But it seems, once I found Mark, I've been going to him on a more regular basis. I'm always a last minute person, I can call the day of, and they find a way to fit me in if not the next day. The staff are all wonderful and accommodating. They are a family/team you could see the morale is high in the salon, as well as they are professional, yet personable. Mark listens and is open to understanding what I'm looking for, he takes time to look at pictures that I have as well as pulls out pictures of his own. He is up-to-date on the styles, offers suggestions, he is the first stylist that finally dealt with my impatient self to allow me to grow my hair out. It's working, all my friends have complimented me so far. Anyway, whether you see Mark or you see Wayne, or you see any of the ladies there you will not be disappointed. Bathroom fan was rattling so loud, I couldn't move fast enough to leave the room. There was no offering of water to guests. The salon did not inform me of a credit card fee or not being able to add a tip to the receipt. Receptionist said "Get it to her next time." Well, I knew there wouldn't be a next time. My experience with the hairdresser Nancy was less than enjoyable. Highly negative, unfriendly and combative. I never met a real life "Negative Nancy" until now. She was negative from the word Go. She never stopped talking negative about my hair. I literally have awesome hair if I say so myself! Haha I have a bright red-violet stacked A-line bob hairstyle and its super healthy. She wanted to debate every aspect of my hair as if she knew my hair more than I did. I know my hair more than anyone and its a very important part of me. Over decades I have learned about what my hair can do, what it needs and how best to cut it for a bob hairstyle. My appt was for a women's haircut. I asked her if she would rinse my hair in cold water. She chose warm water for each rinse, then the last rinse said "Ready?" and turned on ONLY cold and blasted my head with cold water. How fun is that?!? During the washing my shirt and neck were getting wet. I said did we forget a cape. She said "No. We only use capes when doing color." More fun. We head to her station, she sat in a chair facing away from her station and cut the back of my hair while I also faced away from her station. I never saw myself in the mirror throughout the entire appt. She complained about all aspects of my hair. There is a hole here and there is too much texture here, blah, blah, blah. Then she would sit back in her chair as if surrendering to cut it, because the canvas (my hair) wasn't exactly how she wanted it. She round brushed my bob and said she only does round bob hairstyles and I will have to remind her next time that I like a straighter styled bob. I thought that won't be necessary because I will not be returning. Her goal was not to help me feel beautiful during the appt or leave feeling that way. I have never had a hairdresser not want to help make my hair look great or make me feel bad about my hair. She didnt look happy, didnt try to get to know me. I think she would of rather not cut my hair. I will never visit this salon again. All around awful experience. This salon is one step above a Great Clips Salon. I do not recommend this salon.

She is a hair magician and color genius. My hair is a huge part of my identity. I like to be bold, different, and edgy. Janan is on the top of her game, and to be honest, her entire team is fantastic. The hair studio also takes appointments for weddings and special occasions, including make-up. I get so many compliments on my hair, I feel like a walking billboard for the studio. The appointments fill up fast for the studio, and book up 6 months in advance. If you are looking for change...J Dell is the studio for you!

I had herd from a friend that Luxeva had just opened and was offering opening special prices, (men's cut $10!) And I usually pay 25-35 for my cut, which is a lot. I will admit, I am EXTREMELY picky about who and how my hair is cut, and often won't settle to be happy with it until days later. I was at ease the moment I was greeted with a big warm smile as I was introduced to the newly opened salon: Luxeva, and the other two girls working that day. She was eager to get me started and there was no wait at all. From start to finish, she was very accommodating, always making sure I was comfortable. My greatest fear is a stylist that rushes, and this young woman had patience and a steady hand like an artist. I could only describe the style I wanted to change to. She knew exactly what to do and went right to work on the absolute PERFECT FADE!!! Every thing else was done with shears like a professional salon should. After the cut and dry was done she finished with a nice redken product. NEVER have I been impressed like this. My stylist expectations were blown away. I finally felt comfortable and at home in a salon, the staff was very real and friendly, I felt like the equipment was state of the art and I was in good hands. I inquired more about the salon and discovered that they provide ALL salon services, like any hair service, nails, body wax, excetera... Overall, I am very happy to have found a new salon home. You can't beat the price or the service. Oh by the way, you can pay with any type of card, but tips cannot be accepted on the card, be advised to bring cash. Lucilly i had enough to tip 100% :)

I can usually get in within a week to 10 days from when I call. The salon itself is very clean. I can't imagine going anywhere else to get my hair done.

I have finally found a salon that I will be returning to again and again! I have gone through hell and back trying to find a stylist the past year - I have had cheetah brown dye spots ending up in blonde hair, a horrid attempt at Ombré resulting in a legitimate brown hair dye line across the top of my head and overall terrible highlighting jobs. Michelle Szmiot is an exceptional stylist - and finally I did not have to return to a salon to have mistakes fixed. She completely corrected my horrible Ombre attempt by a previous hair stylist and it looks fantastic now. She knows what she is doing and I absolutely love what she did with my hair. It takes a lot for me to trust a hair stylist - I can be very picky and have gone through awful experiences before but I finally found someone who I I have complete faith in, and I know I can ask for anything in the future and she'll accommodate me. The salon itself is so lovely (I literally want to decorate my house like it - it's gorgeous!). The staff is professional but super friendly and warm. The prices are really great and overall I was so impressed the first time I went in there. read more

Have been going to this salon for a couple of years now. New to Yelp and couldn't wait to tell everyone how truly amazing this Salon is. I go to Diana for my cut and color. I have to tell ya, every time if tell her the ideas for my cut and color she nails it every time. Di is truly the guru of eyebrows. She transformed my eyebrows. Let me tell you she had a mess to work with. ( I went to her right after I tried to do my eyebrows myself) anyone who has done this before know what I'm talking about. Olivia is amazing with my kids and there hair, and they love her. Runway Salon has great hospitality and a warm welcome as soon as you enter the door. You walk out feeling great and looking great!!!. I absolutely love this salon. All of the staff makes you feel so welcome. I see Angie Haddon and she is amazing. I have medically related alopecia and wear a hair piece to thicken up areas of patchy hair loss. I've struggled with my self esteem since I started having this problem and I've gone to other salons where I was made to feel even more self-concious. Angie is so kind and extremely talented. Not only is she able to seamlessly blend my hair pieces with my cut and color, she has given me confidence in myself I never had before. I got my eyebrows microbladed by Divina and was absolutely THRILLED with the end result! The before and after pictures are absolutely INSANE! She did a great job and communicated with me, as well as worked with me to perfect the brows I was looking for. She would do a few hair strokes and then tell me to look in the mirror to see if I liked it. I have received so many compliments already and I just got them done today! They look SO natural too! I gave five stars to get my review posted... i guess they only put out positive reviews. not any that are a mark against the business. I've had a terrible experience at runway salon... I had extensions put in by Diana yep the owner and oh my what a horrible job. My hair looked like I had dread locks attached and I have never been so humiliated in my life. And when she couldn't fixer the mess she wouldn't even take my calls and had her assistant take the extensions out just three days later. Terrible business owner that would let any woman walk around looking like a complete freak. read more

Lauren Wolf is by far the best stylist I have seen. She truly listens to what her clients want and makes such an effort to make sure they leave satisfied. Not to mention her shampoos are the bomb. I have been going to her for well over 3 years now and I will continue to go to her for my color and cuts. I went to Runway Salon and Spa on November 21, 2014 for the first time. My appointment was with Diana and I couldn't be happier with my hair color and cut! The salon is very cute and all the girls are extremely nice. I got blonde highlights and a trim, since I'm trying to grow my hair out. Diana listened to exactly what I wanted and I LOVE my hair! I just moved to this area from Grand Rapids area, and was very nervous about having to find a new salon. That is until I found Runway. I talked to the receptionist Amanda on the phone and she recommended Lauren and boy was I happy she did! Not only did I receive the BEST color and haircut ever, but I was treated like royalty. I found the salon on yelp after a long search for a good one. I changed so many hairstylist' and was never satisfied, that is until I went to this place and met Kristin. She did my hair after someone else totally messed it up , and she did a great job! Saturday is my next appointment and if I was not so lazy to do this review you would see it so much earlier . I really…read morewanted a Kerastase deep conditioning treatment, AND a haircut so I needed to find a salon that even carried it. Salon Pynk came up and I called to book an appointment. While it's a little out of the way for me, I was looking forward to the new experience. My appointment was at 10 AM on a Saturday, and since I had other stuff to do, I was early to make sure I could get in right at 10. I get to the salon, and their not even open until 10. OK, cool. Well, 10 AM rolls around and nobody's still in the salon to even open. Eventually, some of the gals showed up a few minutes later and I was able to check in. Anyway, since the girl who booked my appointment had epically failed to write ANYTHING down, they asked me what I was in for that day. They thought I was a walk in! LOL. I showed her my confirmation text and we were all confused. So, I had to tell her that I needed a wash, cut and a kerastase treatment. Here's where it gets even weirder. Normally, these treatments are $30 and can only be done at the salon. It's a spray in thing, and usually lasts for about 8 to 10 washes, but it super hydrates your hair. Since I have dry frizzy hair, it works wonders and a treat for me to get. Now, Kerastase could've changed stuff but I'm pretty certain it was a misunderstanding between the stylist and myself. She told me that the treatment was $50, had caviar in it, and I had to sit under the heat helmet for 30 minutes. I'm like $50? NO. nope. cancel cancel cancel. It didn't sit right with me from what she was saying about the Kerastase treatment so I passed on it. I didn't want to offend her but I wasn't paying her $50 dollars for it. After some awkward conversation, I got to the shampoo station which was probably my favorite part. The chairs have back massagers in them! WHAT?!?! I need one at home. The gal did a really good job and I ended up going to the station and sitting with my stylist. I will say, the haircut and style came out great, and even though the first half of the appointment (and I use that loosely since they never really booked me for a formal one) was painfully awkward, I did enjoy the style here and cut. Total bill was $45 for the whole thing. Weirdly enough, they do not allow you to add tips on your card. It must be done in cash or Venmo. How did I figure this out? There was a sign on the front desk with QR codes for each stylist and their venmo account so you can tip them directly. Interesting. Make sure to bring cash or have a venmo account.

Unfortunately, she was in a rush like who gives fukc about this degenerate I have a more important client next getting a more expensive style so f the cheap ass for under $50. She cut a single length on the sides that was too short and did not blend with the top. NOOOOO!!!! It was my mom's birthday too so she fukced that up as well!!! Perhaps the problem is that this studio books appointments in too short of blocks which doesn't leave time for quality and attention. DON'T FUGK WITH MY HAIR IF YOU'RE GOING TO RUSH!!! I am paying OUTSTANDING money for a QUALITY haircut. Do I have to physically fight your next client just to ensure I get the necessary time and day for a good haircut?!?!? It absolutely should not come to that. I'M SO PISSED!! In addition to demanding my money back and filing a dispute on my charges, I am at the precipice of filing a freakin lawsuit for emotional distress. I am dealing with a very recent onset hearing issue and have a VERY IMPORTANT engagement coming up where I want and demand to look FANTASTIC. Now, I feel like complete shit! No way should this be acceptable, ESPECIALLY at a boutique EXPENSIVE hair salon where QUALITY IS DEMANDED!!! The studio policy clearly had her rushed to attend to the next client who was probably more important because she had a more expensive hair job with cut, color, and otherwise. I just had a simple short haircut that should have been easily handled if she had followed my directions but she either didn't care or was otherwise too inattentive to give me the cut that I needed. I had to go back to have somebody else blend it in and was forced to have it cut shorter to blend in the top. Just FOLLOW DIRECTIONS! If the stylist has a concern or unsure, please communicate!!!! This is especially true for new clients like myself. SOOOO PISSED because I thought that if I paid a lot for a supposedly prestigious hair salon, I would get top notch service that I paid for but sadly no. In addition to losing myself as a repeat customer, you lost the business of my family and friends. We are all dealing with a LOT of Stress in our lives. We should be able to go to a hair salon and RELAX!!! Nobody should have to be on pins and needles praying and hoping that they get the exact cut that they describe and showed when paying near top dollar. I pray that the studio takes immediate action to ensure that this never happens to another client.
