I had a very scary experience here; the woman was very unfriendly. I couldn't quite tell why. When I asked about the frozen yogurt blend, she said they did not have yogurt. I told her it was my first time there in person and that someone bought a bowl for me the week before and it appeared like a frozen yogurt granola blend. She was so unkind and the experience was very dehumanizing. When I asked her if my race had to do with it as a black person (because I recognize the climate we are in), she yelled at me, told me to shut up. She yelled at me and told me she knows black people have experienced hundreds of years of torture but that was her ancestors and not her, I stayed quiet because honestly, I know people are on edge and I didn't want to be harmed. I rather live than be right. After I left, she followed me to my car, was on her phone yelling to someone. As you can imagine, this is scary given that she could've taken my license plate down. I actually have been praying for her, maybe she was having a bad day - we all have them. But I will never come back here. I already try to limit my outside interactions because of all of the violence/hate against people of color. We went to rush bowls with little expectations and came out with a new favorite snack place. We got the berry fresh and the bravacado, they were so good. I went into Rush Bowls (Washington/Houston Location) two times. Let me say the smoothie (tried one) and bowl (tried one time) were amazing however I struggle with an auto-immune. I want to endorse them for the different groups I am affiliated with - but the sanitation process for COVID was inconsistent - In the middle of the week, the staff wore masks and clearly sanitized after each use. On the weekend, one person had a mask on but the other young lady did not. There was no signage asking people to wear masks in the store (about 50-60 percent of the customers had no mask, so I felt compromised). I also didn't see them hand sanitize after making the bowls. Again, the product is amazing but for someone like me - I won't feel comfortable going in on weekends. I also can't recommend others who are "at risk" do so on the weekends either. read more
