The garlic fries were literally fries with spoonfuls of minced garlic on top, and the coffee milk tea tasted so awful it was like watered down instant coffee with no milk in it. If I had time I would have asked for a refund but I had to rush and just threw it away. I don't like to waste food or money but that was undrinkable. There were actually a decent amount of orders being prepared. They have a screen that tells you what orders are ready and what orders are still in progress which is pretty nice. My friends and I came to Mister Green Bubble in the 30 mins before they closed and we were greeted by a brightly lit and clean shop. We ordered on the tablets in the front, which made it easy to all get our orders in quickly. I got the taro milk tea with 50% sweet and less ice. The drink came with boba already so I didn't need to add that on. The drink itself needed more taro flavor and I think the boba was pretty soft from being the last order at the end of the day. Even with less ice it tasted quite watered down. I think if I came back during the day the drinks would be better, but I think this is just a middle of the road boba spot. read more

Seems to be a very popular place for high schoolers to hang out after school my son and I went in there and I ordered an Earl grey milk tea no boba and popcorn chicken, level 3 for spicy. Highly recommend the popcorn chicken. Perfectly crispy with well cooked meat (not too dry). Recommend some amount of spice, there are multiple levels to suit your preferences. Almost never have I left 3 star reviews for locally owned spot since the pandemic, but I think it's brought me to a non-redeeming point and it's time to let go of my good memories from this place. Here are changes I don't adore: - They have folks at the counter but one cannot order. - One can only order on Snackpass but the prices on the kiosks are higher than the prices posted on the menu. - The staff are mostly (if not all distracted) on the phone - there was a confused parent who clearly looked lost and he just needed help finding a drink. None of the 4 staff lifted a finger. - Staff don't know what happened to Fivestars points and they tell me to contact the owner via no email - no reply since last year. - This location never answers their phone. I even called Walnut Creek to ask if they can reach them for me to answer if they were open on a certain holiday. Fortunately, let's just say one doesn't have to look too far for tea - I am just very glad that the relatively newcomer shop Tea on Piedmont is down a few blocks. read more

Prob one of the more terrible boba spots I've been to. We stopped in for a Jasmine Boba Milk Tea since it had a thumbs up recommendation on the menu. It was bland and watery. I would not recommend coming here! Especially when there are so many good boba spots in the Bay. The service was accommodating when we asked for a replacement. They blamed the watery texture on the oatmilk, and although I let them know I can't have dairy, they kept insisting I get whole. They replaced mind with almond milk option and 100% sugar but still bland. I have only gotten bubble tea from here, so I can't speak about their food, but I've been pretty happy with the bubble teas I've gotten from here. Lately, I've only gotten the taro milk tea (which comes with boba), partly because it's one that I can ask for no sugar and can have non-dairy milk options (for 50 cents). (I think the Thai milk tea, for example, only comes with regular sugar or extra sugar, which I don't want. I'd want a less sugar option, but I guess whatever mix they have for the Thai milk tea is already pre-sweetened.) I like being able to order on the kiosks - usually makes it less likely for there to be a misunderstanding about what I want. You can also order through the Snackpass app if you have it. You can specify the sweetness level and ice level, too, which is nice. And they you get a text when your drink is ready. The last couple times, my drink was ready much earlier than it originally estimated, which was nice. There are only four "classic" milk teas that have the boba included, and these aren't priced too bad. The others don't include boba so you have to add it as an extra for 50 cents, and they're more expensive drinks to begin with, so those end up being rather pricey ... so I haven't gotten them. But the boba texture is almost always perfect and the drink flavors pretty good. So, it's not bad for when I'm in the area. But I wouldn't go out of my way to go there. read more

First off, I am keen on the business name - its fun to tell your friends like, "Hey, want anything from Mr. Green Bubble?" or "I'm picking up an order from Mr. Green Bubs". J/k, but in all seriousness, I thought it was creative to have kiosks as the way customers place their orders (if in person) and would be texted once their order is ready to pick up. They have their menu posted for people to read from the outside - it a good size where you aren't squinting to read between the lines. The exterior and interior is small - a fair amount of customers visited during the time I was there and there but it never felt super crowded and everyone had their space waiting outside. While there are no sidewalk tables or chairs, there is 1 bench and a small wooden platform right around the corner for people to chill at. Or feel free to walk across the street and find a spot on the grass. Personally, I would want cafe sidewalk table and chairs, but if I had a blanket w/ me, I would do a little picnic across the street. Or, I would do a pick-up and enjoy it all at home. Their menu is easy to read and understand. There were a few options that stood out to me and obviously couldn't decide. That was until I had spotted someone who had their drink w/ them and it looked delish so I asked them and that was what I ordered. It was the Amber Milk Tea (I got mine w/ oak milk as I don't really like drinking milk). It tasted great - not overly sweet at all and I liked the bottle it came in w/ the coffee lid like cap. These would fit great in your car cup holders. Also tried their popcorn chicken - of course, its a must whenever I get a drink at similar establishments. Spice level runs from 1-5. Tried a 1 and my cousin ordered a 3 (which was actually a good level of spice). I stopped in at Mr. Green Bubble to order boba the other day. The ordering process was easy, but you did have to read quite a few signs to know where and how to order. A sign also noted that the menu prices differ from what was on the kiosk, so when you walk in, I'd recommend going straight to the kiosk. Once you order, you put in your cell number to get updates on your order. I stayed inside waiting for my order and I thought it was odd that they don't call out your order when it's ready. I'm glad I saw them finish my order and place it to the side because I was able to go up and ask and get it. I got the text my order was ready about 5-10 minutes after I actually picked it up. I ordered the lychee slush with boba and taro slush with boba. Both were really filling and delicious! I would come here again to grab boba quickly because it's in my neighborhood but I don't think I would go out of my way to stop back in.
