Came here on a Saturday for an early dinner and it wasn't busy at all. It's located in a Main Street where there's a small lot where you can park or find street parking. This is a Korean fusion burger spot. Its interior is hip and colorful. For the food, I tried the K-chicken burger and a bite of the Wagyu burger. The k-chicken burger was my favorite! The meat was tender and had a lot of flavor. The Wagyu burger ($20) could have been better to be honest. Tasted like any burger so I don't think it was worth the price. The sauces were tasty so I'd recommended paying that extra fee for the sauces.

WHEN: Sun @12:45pm PARKING: Surprisingly, there was a few open spots right outside. Meter says it was FREE maybe because it was Sunday. Inside there are plenty of seating with an awesome mural on the wall. This place is so hip, and the selection on the menu sounds fantastic--especially with the sides. Not much of a line when I went, but service was slow as it seems only one person (Jong) was working the front (I don't know how many in the back). I'm sure they were stressed scrambling taking all the orders. I did see a sign out front that says they are hiring! Okay, so here's what I ordered: K-CHICKEN BURGER - $15 Fried Chicken Patty, Oh G Cole Slaw, Pickled Onion, Sweet Gochujang, Oh G Sauce. The chicken patty was huge, and the flavors are good. Heck yeah I enjoyed this. Quite filling. ONION RINGS - $8 Very good, I'm so glad I ordered this! It was tempura battered, light, airy, crispy and came with a nice dipping sauce! My order also came with finger gloves! I need to come back and try other items on both menus--they all sound really good and sadly I have just one stomach the size of my tiny fist. No really it's a small one, I can fit it my mouth. Anyway, I really appreciate Jong being so friendly even though I'm sure it was not an easy day for him. He was patient, jolly, and helpful! See you again soon Jong!

Fairly late Friday night, we decided to stop in because the other place we wanted to go to was closed. I remembered driving by this place and we decided to go. The phone was ringing consistently, there were a few other people in the restaurant. The employee behind the counter was running around like mad. He eventually took our order, took a couple minutes, but we are patient and understanding people. I think it was just him and maybe one or 2 people in the kitchen. The menu looked so good. Each of us ordered way too much food, in all honesty, I wanted to order more. Every single thing we ordered was delicious. Korean corn dogs. Smash burgers. Tteokbokki. Onion rings. Hot, fresh. Delicious. I think his name was Chris, manager maybe? Super nice. Can't wait to come back and order other items. Oh, and maybe get the burger and fry plushies. Are those for sale? I want them.

Super friendly service Clean retro diner interior What a menu! A good variety of burgers, sides, and Korean entrees to order...and all things you actually want to try. (Some restaurants have huge menus but nothing innovative or interesting) The fried chicken burger is a must try ! Features Unique Korean flavors that is definitely not your typical fried chicken sandwich from other places. Order it! Also their fries are to die for ! They come with a seasoning powder that seems like Cajun with a hint of sweetness. Really loved it The bulgogi burger was a bit lacking in flavor for me, and didn't leave much of an impression especially compared to my other food. Would definitely be back and recommend it to friends. Also just confirmed my suspicion that they are related to the ohgane restaurant, which totally makes sense that they know what they are doing

Recently tried Oh G Burger with a group of friends and I was impressed with their offerings. I ended up going with the breakfast burrito which was packed full of toppings and filling. I do think some type of additional sauce could take it to the next level, but I settled for tapatio. My friends ordered some tots and spicy chicken for the table. The chicken was crispy and coated in a spicy powder. It was great when paired with their aoli dipping sauce! The menu at this spot is extensive and they've got everything ranging from burgers to Korean chicken. I am very tempted to come back and sample more of their items. Overall, the food was good and the cashier/server was helpful. There's enough space to sit down there as well if you're down for a casual meal with friends.

3905 Broadway Oakland, CA 94611 New Business alert! "Oh G Burger" takes over the location of "K Street" in North Oakland. They just opened on Jan 27th, and they are in the soft opening phase. I was there on a Thursday evening. The staff was telling me all about this new location. The place has several tables, and a clean and colorful appearance. I ordered the Double Burger and Fries. The Double Burger comes with two patties on a toasted potato bun, caramelized onion, dill pickles, cheese and Oh G sauce. They charge extra for added toppings like lettuce and tomatoes. My order was ready in 5 mins. I took a bite of the Double Burger fresh from the kitchen. OMG it was good! Juicy, caramelized smash burger patties are just SO GOOD! Oh yeah, and the fries were good too. French fries fresh from the kitchen. Crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, lightly salted. Ketchup, napkins, and a fork were in the bag. Oh G Burgers are worth a try! BTW, they do have salads too. Located near 40th St & Broadway, two blocks from Kaiser Hospital.

(This is 2 restaurants with one kitchen, so this review has been cross-posted to Chimmelier.) Great spot, with friendly service, delicious food, and reasonable prices. No wait on a Wednesday at lunch. It was easy to find metered street parking right outside, but it might be more challenging at busy times. Fairly spacious dining space inside. John at the counter was super friendly and helpful in choosing what to order. I like spicy food but I also like not suffering, so I asked about their Buldak Chicken Burger. John told me honestly that it's insanely spicy. They make their own Buldak spicy sauce and he said he personally ensures it's as spicy as possible. Given that, I opted for the K-Chicken burger, as well as some Korean snacks and cheese curds. The boyfriend got the K-Chicken Burger Jr. and seasoned fries. K-Chicken Burger: Comically huge, which makes it a fun challenge to eat. Crunchy and flavorful. Shrimp toast: SO GOOD. Crispy, delicious shrimp squares. A must-get. Corn cheese: A miss for me. Too sweet, but at least you get a huge portion. Seasoned fries: Also amazing. Tons of sweet Korean seasoning that made for a wonderful side to our burgers. Cheese curds: Delicious and perfect, especially with their house-made KTI sauce (Korean Thousand Island). We were also happy with the value for our money - you get A LOT of food for a price that doesn't break the bank.

EVERY SINGLE ITEM IS A MUST TRY! I cannot believe every single food on the menu hit, even ones I thought I wouldn't like. It's a relatively small and cozy joint, with awesome art decor and great staff. They have two types of selections you can choose from: either Korean fried wings from Chimmelier or burgers from Oh G Burger. The Korean fried wings were so crispy and the flavors were so good. We went with butter honey and omfg spicy dry rub (which are flavors I usually don't get) and it was SO good and crispy. Even when we box leftovers and at it the next two days, IT STILL HIT and was crispy! The burgers, fries, and sandwiches all had a bit of Korean infused flavors and all were so good. I am not a huge kimchi fan so I didn't think I'd like the kimchi sandwich but omg that was fire. Everything else also tasted so good, I was so impressed. My friends got the breakfast burrito that I didn't try but they swear it's the best breakfast burrito they've had haha. Overall, great service, awesome vibes, and amazing food. 10/10 would come back and I've recommended this place to my friends!

Stopped by today a little after 12pm. As soon as I walked in the man at the register welcomed me and said hello. I got the smash burger and also added a patty plus an order of onion rings. The food came out in about 10-15 minutes, I placed it as a to go order. Packaged well and extremely fresh, everything was hot and delicious. Smashburger 10/10, you can tell the beef is good quality (as someone who has eaten a lot of burgers), seasoned very well and cooked perfectly, would definitely recommend Fries 10/10, crispy, nice, thin cut, and salted perfectly, and a good portion Onion rings 10/10, fresh, hot, good portion, love whatever batter they used and you can tell it's cooked in a fresh oil, very good and my sister was a big fan of the onion rings Service 10/10, such a nice friendly worker, kind to me and also every other customer who walked in while I was there. Food was great and will definitely be back the next time I'm craving a burger. Excited to try their milkshake next time! They also have a ton of other menu items that sound really good as well.

Good burger. The Oh G Smashburger comes with pickles and grilled onions. Super delicious and juicy burger with the cheese and Oh G sauce. Oh, I almost took off a point because the fries weren't that good. But they also had some Parliament Funkadelic playing, and that funk bumped it back up. Basic fast food interior with a good amount of seating. In most neighborhoods this would easily be the best burger place, but there's stiff competition nearby.

Bulgogi Burger
Timothy N.

I got the bulgogi burger. It was pricey but a perfect burger in my opinion. The patty had a nice smokey char, it was juicy, and the flavor was delicious. The pickled onions and the ssamjang aioli paired very well with beef. The workers are nice and the vibes are chill and casual. I would definitely come again.

Originally ordered from this place via DoorDash and it was so good so I decided to go back to the restaurant itself. We ordered a single smashburger, a double smashburger, french fries, crispy wings as is, and ordered one of each of the dipping sauces (housemade ranch, kimchi thousand island, yang yum, hot yang yum, rosé, mala). These were some of the best smash burgers i've had in the bay, perfectly cooked and well seasoned on a delicious brioche bun. If you are craving a smashburger I would definitely recommend this place! The fries were also really good thin and perfectly crispy on the outside and went really well with the dipping sauces. The crispy wings were so good and also some of my favorite korean fried chicken wings. Wings were also so crispy and well seasoned standalone but also taste good with the dipping sauces. Dipping sauces were good but my favorite was definitely the housemade ranch and kimchi thousand island. I also think you wouldn't be missing out if you skipped hot yang yum and mala. Ambiance was cool, very bright and colorful in there and the front of house staff was really on it! He was working alone and did a really good job of taking care of everything from orders to distributing food and checking in with customers. All in all a great experience and will definitely be coming back!

If you can't decide on Korean or burger, then this your spot!! The burgers are super tasty and the sides are so yummy! If you like Spicy juicy KBBQ pork, then the Ohgane Burger is for you. It's like having KBbq, but on a burger. So good! Their tasty Impossible Burger for those who are vegetarian or vegan. If you crave for Korean noodles like buldak, they have the machine that can cook noodles in 3 mins. Ps. Super friendly service!

Our food came out in about 10 minutes or less, which was impressive. We ordered a few steak hoagies, cheesesteak egg rolls, and their lemonade -- and wow. Everything was mouthwatering, rich in flavor, perfectly cheesy, and clearly prepared with mindfulness and loving energy. The lemonade was super refreshing and tied everything together perfectly. It all fully satisfied my craving. Saucy Hut always nails the flavor, and this new location is one of a kind -- from the food to the customer care. You pick your fruit and it's served with fresh lime juice. I picked strawberry and it was like a perfect virgin strawberry margarita. I added some soda water to dilute it a little and is was still delicious and refreshing. The summer toast was good. The today was perfect and crunchy. The labneh was cool and creamy and topped with basil, bacon, peaches, mint, and hot honey. Maybe it was too many flavors because the peach didn't come through, but it was tasty. My fella got the fries and he wasn't very impressed. I think he said the sauce over powered everything. We also got the picked vegetables. They were okay. A little more on the sweet side, but went well with the toast! I loved the backyard setting vibe. It was lovely and the weather was incredible.

Wood Tavern met the criteria for a relatively nice American restaurant in North Oakland. We visited for lunch and wanted to make this special for our mom, so we were perhaps a bit overdressed in business casual, but this is Oakland after all. On an ordinary Thursday, there were multiple groups waiting outside for the restaurant to open at 11:30 AM. That in itself should tell you how popular this place is. My wife and I dined at sister restaurant Southie next door a few years ago and really enjoyed it (I also rated it five stars on Yelp), so I was confident Wood Tavern would not disappoint. I initially booked our reservation using OpenTable to link it to my account and get 100 points. Since the max party size for Wood Tavern on OpenTable is four, I had to call to get it changed to eight. Due to the large party size, the restaurant also required me to give them my credit card info and be subject to a $25 per person no-show fee. Upon arrival, our tables were ready for us in the back corner near the open kitchen. The restaurant is true to its name with a shared bar and dining room space that evoke the feel of a wood tavern. Here's what we had: Wine of the Day * Rosé (100% Zweigelt), Stefan Pratsch, Niederösterreich, Austria, 2024 ($16) "N/A Libations" and other drinks * Cherry Bomb! non-alcoholic cocktail ($13) - Tilden Lacewing, Amarena cherry, lime, ginger beer, tall glass * Shirley Temple ($5) * Diet Coke ($5) * Iced Tea ($4) Soup & Salad * Red & Golden Beet Salad x2 ($16 each, one with fish added for $8) - frisee, castelfranco, pistachios, orange segments, Laura Chenel goat cheese, Cara Cara orange vinaigrette Sandwiches * The Hot Pastrami x2 ($25 each) - Emmentaler cheese, Dijon-horseradish dressing, La Farine baguette Old Reliables * Seafood Stew ($32) - rock cod, Manila clams, PEI mussels, calamari, butter beans, fennel, leeks, chili flakes, garlic toast * Pork Ragu Casarecce ($30) - Castelvetrano olives, Pecorino Romano, Grana Padano, chili flakes, parsley * Tavern Burger with French Fries on Acme Soft Bun with All the Fixins x3 ($25 each, two with cheddar added for $2 each) Everything was excellent. As for what to order, I recommend all of the dishes we got. It really just depends on what you like and/or what you're in the mood for. Everyone loved the food. The beet salad was fresh and flavorful, the pastrami was one of the best I've had anywhere, my mom raved about the seafood stew, my brother-in-law gobbled up all of the casarecce, and the burger was outstanding. Service was polite and speedy. Our server Sophia C was awesome. We split one of the salads and the stew, so they came out plated and served in half portions which was nice of the kitchen staff to do.

And let me tell you... when I got home and opened that bag, I was honestly blown away. My food was packaged with so much care, precision, and pride--it was neat, organized, and handled like it actually mattered. That alone told me everything about the level of service in that building. Candalen--YOU DID THAT. The attention to detail on my plate did not go unnoticed. You treated my food like it was being served in-house, and that speaks volumes about your work ethic and pride in what you do. Aaron--listen... that peach lemon drop??? BABY. That was my first time trying one and it was EVERYTHING. Smooth, flavorful, perfectly balanced--you made that drink an experience all by itself. I will be back JUST for that. And let's talk about the vibe--the music, the energy, the atmosphere--it all came together in a way that made the entire visit feel GOOD. Not just food... a whole experience. But what really stands out is this: It has been a LONG time since I've experienced service this genuine, this intentional, and this excellent. Not rushed, not careless--EXCEPTIONAL. Management, if you are reading this--please understand--you have some powerful people on your team. Candalen and Aaron are the kind of employees that elevate a brand. I come for their brisket and my friend loves ribs so we went ahead and ordered combo plates to share. Mine was the brisket with a side of collard greens, she had the pork ribs, a hotlink with a side of Mac-n-cheese, & cornbread. For drinks we had lemonade and an Arnold Palmer. I'm not sure what has happened over the last few months but the quality of the food, the service and the expectation to pay and tip up front were very disappointing. The greens, Mac cheese, brisket and ribs were cold. The hotlink wasn't BBQ'ed it was pan fried. Everything tasted like warmed up leftovers and we will not return. For 2 of us to eat it came to $100 and we were not satisfied. The dining room is an attractive space, it was completely empty. The staff was unclear about what we ordered, had to be told to bring our drinks, bartender is also working as server and apologized for his uncertainty. I suggest this restaurant hire and train more staff if they intend to keep their doors open.

As a result, it took a while for them to be able to stop by our table and provide water, take our order, etc. There was quite a long wait between sitting down to ordering to actually receiving our food. By the time we had actually received our food, almost an hour had passed. While we were waiting, a few other servers eventually joined, but service was still pretty bare for us and we never received refills on water or plates to eat off of when we received our food. I understand that staffing and a backup in the kitchen are out of the staff's control, but it would've definitely helped for us to know in advance how long to expect to wait to align our expectations and arrange our plans for the day. Would advise giving customers a quick heads up/warning because that on its own would've made a big difference. As for the actual food, we ordered the mac trio with elote mac, chicken pot pie mac, and kogi short rib mac (for an extra fee). The elote mac was the best and most flavorful, the short rib mac was okay but not amazing or worth the extra money, and the chicken pot pie mac was very bland/flavorless and didn't have much chicken in it. The food didn't feel like it warranted the wait time and because of that I would not return.

My only question is....WHY haven't I been here sooner?! I…read morewas craving pastrami, so I looked on yelp for pastrami in the area. My mom and I came in around 2pm on Monday (8/11). It's a cute delicatessen/restaurant. You order at the counter and they bring your food to you. Immediately the staff was so friendly and welcoming. The woman at the register was very nice and asked if we had any questions. My mom and I shared a pastrami sandwich, Brussels sprouts, fries, and slaw. It was reasonably priced for the Bay Area. When they brought the food to the table I was shocked. Everything looked amazing and very appetizing, and the portions were much bigger than expected. Before she brought the sandwich over, she asked if we were sharing it and was so nice to split it into 2 plates for us. That was very kind for her to do. Let's start with the French fries. Omg they were perfectly crisp but still fluffy on the inside. They had so much flavor probably because of the beef tallow and had just the right amount of salt on them. There was a side of mayonnaise with the fries, and it tasted homemade. I meant to ask them if it was. It was very good lol I couldn't get enough. The poppyseed slaw was very refreshing and it was tangy and sweet. We loved that the cabbage remained crispy and it was great for a warm day. The fried Brussels sprouts were full of flavor. They were a nice balance of sweet and salty. I loved the bacon on them. The hot pastrami sandwich definitely satisfied my pastrami craving! There was just the right ratio of meat-cheese-sauerkraut-mustard-dressing. The bread tasted freshly baked as well. It was full of flavor. And the side salad that came with the sandwich was excellent. We loved the tanginess of the dressing. We were shocked that there wasn't more people inside, but also for 2pm on a Monday, it probably was just an off hour. We had so many leftovers as we both don't eat very much, but lol as soon as I got home I started eating some more of the slaw and salad. Can't wait to eat the rest for lunch tomorrow. We are already planning on coming back to try the meatballs next time and definitely trying their Indian cuisine! I'll have to bring my husband here next. Thank you guys for an amazing lunch!

I'm sure there are other good things here but I keep just getting the cheese steak. The picture…read moredoesn't do it justice. It's a warm, crunchy roll, the chopped steak and cheese are perfect, and there's a salad next to it so you can take a bite of that while you're waiting for the next bit of your sandwich to cool down. Do yourself a favor and order this in instead of carrying it out. The roll is warm and crunchy and I think too much time in a bag would make everything less delicious. (I'm sure it's still good, it's just *better* if you can eat it when it's fresh.) I swear one of these days I'll try something else on the menu.

So I've been driving by this place since the '80's when it was a Hofbrau. Today's my first visit!…read more I love it. As others mention, it's completely different than it looks from the outside. Modern, airy, and open concept. Their Honors West Coast IPA is excellent. I would come back just for this. I ordered a lettuce wrapped The Dude burger with cheddar and mushroom. Yum! Nice presentation as well. Only disappointment is that they no longer have a parking lot :( What a great place to just hang out and chill. I'll definitely be back. Okay, I'm still here, ha, ha, ha... I had to try their Smoke and Honey cocktail. Mezcal and laphroig islay scotch plus lillet blanch!

Came here for a light bite / happy hour before my flight and experienced the worst service ever…read more This place is across from a dispensary and offers ample parking. The inside has a nice modern look and there is a lounge to the side open for happy hour. We sat in there which has its own bar. It is very cozy. My husband ordered a Caesar salad and I ordered the French Onion soup with a bacon grilled cheese. Our waiter started off well but when he came to get our orders he didn't write anything down and I had to repeat myself twice. The first time he was facing my husband, the second he came to my side and I pointed at the menu while slowly repeating my order. I simply wanted a grilled cheese with bacon added no avocado as it is advertised as an add on, on the menu. As he walked away a part of me knew my order was going to be messed up. Low and behold my soup arrives with a side of bacon. I then explained again what I ordered. A few moments pass and he comes back and then my husband explains what I wanted. I'm not sure if it was a language barrier but it just didn't seem to register. I truly did not think asking for soup & bacon grilled cheese would be so difficult. By this time my husband had already received his salad which was delicious. Finally, he comes back with my soup, a grilled cheese and the bacon ON THE SIDE. If I ordered a bacon grilled cheese why would you give me like this? Why not make my grilled cheese and add the bacon inside? To make matters worse the French onion soup was so bland not even salt could save it. It tasted like a nothingness broth. The grilled cheese was better once I made it myself. The waiter never came back to check on us. The manager hovered by for a while but we had to even flag him down for the check. I left hungry and got a meal at the airport. Would not recommend. If you can't remember an order as a waiter please just write it down.
