This was a darling spot in Kirkwood, and the owner was super welcoming and friendly! There is a shared parking area in the back for you and I think street parking nearby. It was warm when we got there, so we opted to sit inside but there is a lot of seating outside. Although the menu isn't huge, everything sounded so good and I really gravitated to their berry cold brew, BEC on honey biscuit, and a cinnamon roll biscuit. My husband ordered their sausage, egg, and cheese and a hashbrown for our toddler. Everything was pretty good and it's heavy! So its good if you need a big breakfast for on the go. Perfect amount of fruit topping and the biscuit itself is buttery and fluffy. I enjoyed the sausage and the seasoning on the hashbrown is great. I was craving biscuit and gravy and I didn't have the ingredients to make them at home. I've been here before because of a Yelp event but I couldn't remember if I liked the biscuits or not. So I decided to give it another try. It's a cute corner resturant with plenty of outside seating and limited dining in. They had a lot of staff but a bit slow with taking orders. I ordered the biscuit and regular gravy with a mixed berry ice tea. The tea was so good. Not too sweet and the mixed berry flavor was just right. I wish they offered a bigger cup because I would definitely order a large. My food, very filling and the sausage gravy was really good. My biscuit, a little too hard for me. I wish it was a fluffy biscuit with a light crisp on the outside. It seems a bit hard throughout. I came around noon so maybe that's why but I feel this biscuit was cooked too long. I've been here numerous times. The first time I tried it was when they first opened and it was great. Both the service and food have slowly gone down hill. The biscuits have become dry and hard, even at 7am when they are fresh. My order comes out wrong most of the time. The iced latte I got today was sitting next to the cash register with 2 ice cubes in it, watered down. I assume it was an extra they made that they were waiting for someone to buy. Honey bees is a great restaurant for brunch in Kirkwood. It has lots of outdoor seating options and the rather long line moves quickly. I stopped by recently and got the pumpkin special which was delicious and came out quick. The last time I went I got the biscuit and gravy and it was a little on the salty side so I stuck to sweet this visit. My daughter got a honey butter biscuit and a side of bacon. They have some creative flavors for their coffee but the lattes aren't my favorite...although it hasn't deterred me from continuing to order them. I decided to come here on a Saturday morning to get a fresh biscuit. I was able to find some street parking, but there is a large public parking lot behind the store with available spots. It is a small restaurant with seating both indoors and outdoors. The inside tables are very limited and fill up quickly. I ended up finding more open tables outside. I ordered a sausage, egg, and cheese sandwich, a blueberry biscuit, and the Bee Kind (iced vanilla coffee). All of the staff were very nice and respectful. The wait time for my food was under 10 minutes. The coffee was good, a basic vanilla coffee. The sausage, egg, and cheese biscuit was my favorite thing I ate. The sandwich was warm, full of flavor, and filling. The biscuit did fall apart as I was eating it, but it was still good. The blueberry biscuit is what I won't order again. The biscuit was clearly overcooked, hard, and dry. It had a nice blueberry flavor, but I prefer my biscuits to be softer and flakier. I hadn't been here before until my friend recommended it but it was a good place to catch up. I got the biscuit sandwhich with egg, cheese and sausage, and my friend got the biscuit and jam. Both were pretty solid, the only reason I rated it 4/5 is because I do think there are better spots if you're looking for biscuit meals that being said it still was delicious. I also got a peach sweet tea, which was actually my favorite thing because their base sweet tea is really good and done right not watered down or only midly sweet. This place is adorable. It was a cold and rainy day so luckily we came after the morning rush and had no problem. Sitting at one of the small tables. The staff were friendly and smiling and made me feel very welcome. I got a biscuit and gravy and couldn't decide between spicy gravy or traditional sausage gravy so I was offered the opportunity for half and half and I jumped in it. Both gravy's were so flavorful with plenty of sausage. The biscuit was delicious. It was not flaky and buttery but held up well to the gravy atop it so I liked the texture a lot. I also got a hash brown and it was seasoned well and needed no ketchup or the like. It wasn't amazing, but compared to some others it was very good... but let's face it, I didn't go to a biscuit shop for the hash browns. I got a peach tea which was outstanding. Definitely on the sweeter side but that was so easily fixed by letting the ice melt to bring the sweetness down a bit to my preference. Overall I was very happy with my food and the staff and would definitely recommend giving it a try for both sweet and savory biscuits. Will return to try a sweet biscuit next time :) read more
