My wife and I stopped by after visiting the Suwanee Farmers Market on a Saturday, and we're glad we did. This is a very cool spot with creative, upscale flavors and excellent presentation. We ordered the bacon biscuit with grits and the avocado toast, and everything was absolutely delicious. The grits were the standout item for me. We learned they are made with locally sourced grits from a North Georgia mill, and the cheese combination created an incredibly creamy texture and rich flavor. The coffee was excellent as well and was served in a large mug that we really appreciated. We also discovered that the coffee is sourced from a small local roaster in Johns Creek, which fits perfectly with the restaurant's commitment to supporting local businesses. The dining area is somewhat small, but there is bar seating and outdoor seating available, which provides additional options. We also found out they have a second location in Johns Creek near our neighborhood, so we'll definitely be giving that one a try soon. Not fun leaving this review, but being real. We had been planning to check this spot out for a brunch date and finally went. Quickly seated and waited on. The matcha was weak - charge for milk was unexpected, $6.75. The staff were great, the ambience and slight smattering of decor inside was okay. Just not what we anticipated after seeing the description of a blend of European and Southern - small portions for the price. In town for a family wedding and once again Yelp to the rescue as I searched for a lunch spot. Rushing Trading Co. is located in a hip little enclave of apartments, shops and restaurants. When we arrived it was bustling and the only seating available was at the counter (attractive marble with comfy leather chairs with backs) which was fine. I ordered a latte which was large and tasty. My husband got the Breakfast Old Fashioned, I took a sip and it was amazing! Lots of special added flavors. The restaurant is known for its French Toast so I ordered the Brown Sugar French toast. I also ordered the Brown Sugar mini biscuits. My husband and son got the Lumberjack Special which is a variety of breakfast meats, eggs your way, grits and a biscuit. All entrees were served on bespoke wooden planks. Everything was delicious! I will say the mini-biscuits did not have as much extra flavor/topping as I had expected but they were still beautiful and very tasty little biscuits. Met some friends for girls brunch and I was really excited to try Rushing! Let's start with bottomless mimosas for $25. And they do mean bottomless (in your 2hr table limit). They have a WIDE variety of flavors ranging from classic OJ to lavender and peach and even a festive flavor depending on the season. For food I ordered the turkey BLT. To be honest the turkey tasted/looked not super great, but the bread and the bacon were really delicious. I chose grits as my side which were also really good. Our server was super nice and patient with our many mimosa orders and she checked on us regularly which I appreciate especially when a "bottomless" item is offered. Though, this review is specifically regarding the Barista Class they are offering through Eventbrite. They offer up to 6 spots, and there were 3 of us in my class. My sister and I did it as a birthday gift, plus another solo guest. Mattie, the owner and creator of the Business Plan, did an amazing job teaching us about history of coffee, tastings, types of drinks, etc. Then we each got to practice making different types of drinks, with more tastings, and even practicing latte art. We also left with a mug, sample of coffee and certificate! I highly recommend this hands-on experience. We did it on a Thursday night and my only suggestion would be to see if it can be on a Friday night or Saturday night. No matter what, it was totally worth it! read more

I was excited to discover there's a Rushing Trading Company in Sugar Hill since I just moved here. We ate at the Johns Creek location about a year ago, and I loved the biscuit sandwiches as well as the coffee. I was eager to return and try the alcoholic drinks, which seem creative. The wait wasn't very long on a Saturday morning. We walked in, gave our name, and waited probably about five minutes to be seated. The staff was very friendly overall. We did have to wait a bit longer for the food to arrive, and drinks also took some time, but once we received everything, it was worth it. The Yosemite biscuit sandwich was good as usual and a good price for a filling meal. The "Christmas Chai" was excellent, it's my exact usual order at Starbucks. Whenever I get a chai with a splash of caramel, it absolutely tastes like Christmas. The cold brew was good. I only had a taste, but it's quality coffee. The only disappointment was the Lumberjack Special, which didn't feel worth the price. The ham was also extremely overcooked to the point where my fiancé hurt his teeth while eating it. Let's be real- Rushing Trading Company is reason my partner and I live in Sugar Hill. We found them about 5 years ago and started meeting here for breakfast on Sundays when we started dating. We noticed the apartments across the street and now we live right across from them and of course, still go there for brunch. Their food has always been wonderful and we love the staff. They've always offered a wide variety of food, coffee and even some bar specials. Between us and our friends/family, we've pretty much tried everything on the menu. The things that stand out the most are the Breakfast Charcuterie Board, which is our favorite, the mini Brown Sugar Biscuits, the Lavender Lemonade and of course, their Vanilla Cappuccinos. The atmosphere is very cozy and intimate. Everyone is so friendly and helpful. We definitely notice that they remember us and make us feel like old friends when we stop by. Rushing Trading is probably the perfect spot for breakfast because their menu is fun with a lot of options, so you shouldn't find yourself out of place if you just feel like a sausage biscuit or something a little fancier. Although their space is on the smaller side, they do utilize their space well with plenty of tables. If you're on the larger side (me), just make sure you mind your space when getting to your seat so you're not accidentally bumping into anyone. If you want to available seating, you have to do one of the following... Be THE first one there when they open OR call in a reservation (up to 24 hours ahead) so you can make sure you have a good experience. Our server was telling us it gets VERY busy and sometimes wait times can be quite high. Because of this there is a 2 hour limit per visit which is fair and plenty of time. Speaking of servers, our server's name was Ro and Ro was amazing. From beginning to end she welcomed us with a friendly smile and seemed genuinely excited that we were there and excited to try their food.
