After test driving the car, we realized it had some serious mechanical issues. We were still very interested in the car and had talked to the owner of the dealership about fixing the mechanical issues and then we would purchase the car the next day. The next morning we kept trying to get ahold of the owner, but we were only able to get a mechanic on the phone, who said he was only instructed to fix one of the problems we had spoken about with the owner the day before. After a few more hours of not getting a phone call back from anyone, we decided to stop in. The owner was in the office and tried to make excuses for why he had not returned our calls. When we asked if the issues with the car had been addressed he tried to convince us there were no issues and that the car was in perfect condition. My husband, a mechanic himself, knew there was something wrong with the car. The owner obviously thought he could sucker us into buying the car and not fix whatever problem there was. When my husband tried to shake his hand and say thanks anyways (because we might have come back in the future to look at other cars) , the owner refused to shake his hand and told him to " just get the hell out". We were shocked that he was speaking like that, and we started out the door. As we were walking out he yelled after us, trying to provoke my husband, saying "you can't even pay for this car yourself you f@#&king mooch, you have to borrow money from someone else." Which is completely untrue. We wanted to finance the car as an opportunity to build our credit, even though we could have paid for it outright. Needless to say, after that rough exchange of words, we will never be stepping foot on that lot again, not recommending them to anyone. Beware working with this dealer, as they are rude and extremely unprofessional.

Ed Dunne is a well polished shyster. But he hides this perfectly during the sales process. The brakes were bad all the way around! All 4 brakes! The mechanic said when he inspected it that they were metal on metal when we purchased it. So he sold us a car with unsafe, terrible brakes. Metal on metal, no pad left on any of the brakes. Cost of 4 new rotors and a brake job: 800.00$ Ed Dunne, when confronted about this, claimed the brakes were "just fine" and called me and my fiancee liars. Ed Dunne sells unsafe cars to unsuspecting, trusting people. Please think about the type of person who would sell anyone a car with 4 bad brakes... Only the worst type of person would sell a car with 4 bad brakes to anyone. He couldn't care less if they get in an accident and become crippled or die. If he did, he wouldn't be selling a car with bad brakes. But he made an extra 800 bucks! See how well that works for Ed Dunne? The man, seriously, has no conscience. Long story short: If your even thinking about doing business with this man, Ed Dunne, simply hit the gas and keep on driving till you find another dealership. He lies, cheats people and sells people unsafe vehicles, all to make MORE profit! He is the worst kind of salesman and the type of man who gives car sales people the bad reputation they often don't deserve. And he gets extremely rude when you call him on the carpet for the shoddy vehicles he peddles to unsuspecting people. He called me an as8hole and told me he wouldn't ever sell to me again. He told me to get the fu*k off his lot. Couldn't believe it! Thank God is all I have to say! Ed Dunne also has a referral program where he gives 100 bucks to anyone who refers a friend, etc, to purchase a car. The person who referred us never even got her 100 bucks. We asked him if she got her money, and he lied to us and told us she did. We called her and asked her and she never got a dime of that referral money. So Ed Dunne is simply a liar. She also told us she purchased 3 cars there and after all the problems she had with the last vehicle, and not getting her referral money, said she wasn't ever going back to that man for anything. much less another car. He does not treat customers well at all. Total contempt would be the best way to describe how he views customers. So between me, her and my fiancee, there is 3 people who won't ever get cheated by Ed Dunne ever again! Ed Dunne is a bad person, with poor character and no morals. That is the only type of person that can sell a car with no brakes to unsuspecting shoppers. Good people couldn't do that because they have a conscience. I myself, couldn't do it. It wasn't a mistake on his part. He knew they were bad. But he made the decision to sell it in its unsafe condition and roll the dice with our lives. It's just how he does business. He is a bad person with no morals. Put his dealership in your rear view mirror now and drive to the next dealership. He will screw you too if you give him the opportunity. Don't! And lastly, Ed Dunne sold us a car with outstanding recalls on all of the airbags without informing us. I guess this is ok, if you want airbags that shoot shrapnel into your face in an accident. Not sure about you, but that's my least favorite thing to happen when the airbags go off. We took it to Macgrath Honda in Crystal Lake and had it fixed for free. Total time: 77 minutes. And that's 77 minutes of free work that Ed Dunne, if he was a good person with good morals, would surely have gotten done prior to selling the vehicle. Especially since it was free. But he couldn't care less whether his cars are road safe or not. All that matters to Ed Dunne is making a few extra hundred bucks on each sale. Safety be damned! He couldn't care less if you buy a car and die a half an hour later because it had no brakes or the airbags shoot shrapnel into your face on impact. He got paid and that's all that matters to this used car salesman. Buyer beware!

I received confirmation of my reservation to pick up here. The day of my pick up I received a call from a woman saying it had to be cancelled. No solution offered. The reason given? You shouldn't reserve on line. I should have called in. So then why even offer online reservation? Why work with a truck rental company that you know you can't support the reservations for? Budget offered me no help either. I had to find a last minute truck the day of my move. The stress of that should not have happened. Do not rent a truck here. They cannot be trusted to keep confirmed reservations!

Anyways, I had experienced some trans slipping around 130k on my 2013 civic. He suggested getting a product called Dr. Tranny by lubegard (got it on amazon) for him to add after the drain and fill. This was an absolute hellhole compared to how Nedza usually was. Piles of OilDri, torn hunks of cardboard packaging everywhere on the floor, and piles on various used parts strewn about. Motorcycle parked so you couldn't get to the waiting area. There are three lift bays for cars, one being a drive up/on. My service would need a non-drive up/on. Those two are in use. So, they aren't ready for my appointment. The poor worker hears us come in, and immediately is calling on his phone, and hands his phone to us on speaker to chat with someone named Luis/something/didn't get a good look at it. I have no problem with anyone being employed anywhere, but this poor man can't communicate with me. "Whatcha need?" (WTF is this question?) "I had an appointment at 8 for a LOF/rotate." "Oh yeah. I am out doing a test drive on a car right now. Be there in a bit. Just give your car keys to him." (He took the car home with him to test drive?) Feeling uneasy, I give my keys to the worker guy. Walk outside and then in the outside door to the waiting room. Decide that with a repair shop floor that looks that bad compared to the years that I have been a customer that I don't want them touching my car, I go back in, ask for my keys back and leave. They did not disappoint. Brought the truck in after explaining to them that it likely needed either a seal or two replaced, or the entire injection pump rebuilt. Over the phone they admitted that they didn't see many of these smaller diesel pickups from the eighties, but that they were confident they could source the parts required, and get everything back in order. While the two weeks it was in the shop was longer than they had originally promised, a quick call confirmed that it was because their rebuild shop (I believe in Bolingbrook) needed special parts sent from California to properly outfit the Denso pump. Air shipping them would have brought the price tag up, Bryant said. OK, no problem! Truck is back in my hands now and running like a champ, despite the freezing cold Chicago is throwing at it right now. After paying and before driving off, I asked if there was any way they could have the original seals mailed back to me (since they were still at their rebuild facility when I picked up the truck). I want to see what the failed seals looks like, if they were made of viton or not, to better guess if the pump had ever been rebuilt in the course of the truck's 205K miles, etc. I always say, if you want to own things, you gotta know what's going on inside them! Anyways, Bryant had no problem with my request (I'll update this review once the old seals come in). !!! For readers out there in search of auto repair work, please keep in mind that you have the RIGHT in the state of Illinois to ask to have any replaced parts returned to you, provided you let the mechanic know your wishes in advance of any ordering of parts !!! Ultimately, this shop was willing to do exactly what it took for me to leave with a well-running injection system, and the know-how to keep it that way. Possibly most important of all, after getting the job done they handed me a bill that was on the bottom end of the original via-phone estimate. Thanks for the quality and affordable work, guys!
