This review is about the Rusnak BMW Service Dept. When I brought my car in for my oil change appointment at 11:00. I had planned to wait for what should be a 30 minute service, but was informed that because they were backed up and it was so close to lunch, my car wouldn't be ready until at least 2:00. It ended up being closer to 3:00. At least Rusnak paid my Uber transportation home and back. The Service Advisor tried to sell me on two additional services because "they were almost due". Rear brake pads replacement ($327) and Brake fluid flush ($325). I declined both and later verified using my car's computer system that these services were not due for 8,000 miles and 4 months respectively. 8,000 miles is more than I drive IN A YEAR. Rusnak's service department is not what I would call reputable. By offering me a discounted ($120) oil change, they attempted to add on additional services that were not even close to being due. While I've never had a complaint with the actual work done by their service department, beware that they might try to sell you on additional services not needed. read more

This car wasn't my first choice. I was talking to both Kote @ Rusnak BMW and another dealer. I wanted the other 430i. But over a few days of discussion, Kote was super helpful giving the info I need. Not pushy at all and no games. He was also willing to work with me to give me the best price possible. While the other guy couldn't even give me a straight answer when I asked for total price. That helped moving my choice to the 430i at Rusnak. On the day of getting the car, knowing I am located at Culver City, Kote offered to uber me to take me to the dealership (an hour away!) I paid the dealership for inspection and fix of a problem on my car. Then the problem occurred again. When I called service, they asked to charge another $300 for inspection and completely failed to mention the previous fix is under a 2-year warranty. Horrible service department. read more

Service department is a mess. Made an appointment and got there 15 minutes early although there were 6 service people standing around I was told to wait for my service person. Finally after waiting and waiting a different service tech said he would help me. My X4 only has 39,000 miles and all I needed was an oil change. After awhile I was told I needed a cabin filter and an air filter and an inspection at a price of more tan $1,100. I asked for my keys back and took my X4 to a local BMW mechanic and had the work done for $150. I also ordered OEM BMW filters for less than $100 and replaced them myself in about 10 minutes. Rusnak will never work on my car again and when it is time to trade in my X4 I will purchase my next BMW from another dealer. I do not trust this dealership. They must to told to up charge whenever possible. This was my third vehicle I purchased from Rusnak, they have lost a loyal customer. read more

I purchased a car from Rusnak BMW in April and recently received a Notice of Intent to Suspend Registration from the DMV because the dealership failed to submit my proof of insurance. This should have been handled during the registration process or they should have clearly warned me that I need to do this myself. What's even more frustrating is the complete lack of follow-up and accountability. I've called multiple times, left messages, and emailed and no one has responded. I also want to specifically point out that the salesperson I worked with, MacArthur, has been unresponsive to questions I had after my purchase. The communication ended the moment the sale was complete and that's unacceptable for a premium dealership like this. When I first walked in and asked if they have inventory of a X6 M60, the front desk looked at me like I just asked them a personal question that offended them. Then, Brandon Hartfield did not seem to truly want to help me out even in the slightest. When I asked what the payments would be for a lease, he just took his phone out and went on the "auto lease calculator" website. Something I could've done at home, and saved myself a 25 mile drive. He then was talking to me as if I don't understand what he was saying and even started to talk under his breath as I was walking away. It's disheartening because I bought my first ever BMW from this place in 2021 from Mickey and he was so nice. Sad to see how much things have changed since. Just purchased my 3rd BMW from Rusnak because they are simply the best. I have never worked with a better dealer over the years. This goes for sales AND service. Notice when you call them, service is #1 on the call menu... Regarding my buying experience... These days it can be hard to navigate the current market and you need someone you can trust. Dealers have a reputation lately for being greedy, and that is just the opposite of my experience at Rusnak. They are transparent and fair. Don't go in expecting the same prices as 3 years ago, but if you shop around and compare as I did (I went to ALL of the dealers within a 25 mile radius), you just won't find a better deal or buying experience. I'd like to specifically call out LeCoya, who has fostered a relationship with me and kept me coming back for a 3rd time. Without her outreach and warm personality, I most likely would not have purchased my last two cars with Rusnak. I will be back in 6 months from now for our 4th car from Rusnak for my wife. This dealership is terrible with their appointments and communication. I have had several bad experiences. And I don't think I'm gonna be coming back. I'm gonna find a different dealer to go to. First time I made an appointment, and they had no idea I was coming. They said making an appointment through the app sometimes they can't see it. What? Then I made an appointment to have something changed on my car, and they couldn't get to it that day so I had to use a loaner for two days for a simple replacement. The third time I needed maintenance, I made an appointment for 8 AM, called because there was traffic. I arrived at 8:20 and the loaner they told me they would have for me was let go. They didn't have a loaner for me so I had to get picked up by a rental car and use a rental. At the end of the workday at about 415 I hadn't heard a thing, I called to see if my car was ready. Couldn't find the survey advisor. They said he'd call me. I told them I was about an hour away so I needed a phone call right back. I was called back at 4:47. and they close at six. I packed up from work and sprinted there to get in by six. They checked me out and were so focused on going home themselves, I stood outside and waited for my car for 15 minutes because it needed to get washed. The Porter was considerate and asked me why I was waiting, and if there was anything he could do to help. The service department could care less. They just all packed up and went home. read more

Even with an appointment it took 15-20 mins over my appointment time to get checked in and me double checking with the receptionist on when I would be helped. Upon them telling me my car was ready, I showed up 2 hours later and even paid ahead of time and it took them another 15 mins or more to locate my car. I yet again had to ask receptionist where my car was and she said she didn't know. When one of the other service advisors asked if she has called it down, she said no. Turns out it was in the customer lot the whole time and she could've just given me my key. Also when I asked where my car was, she vaguely pointed in the direction without any help but for me to search for it myself. I have been extremely disappointed with the service that I have been receiving lately from Rusnak BMW. Every time that I schedule an appointment for service, I show up only to find that whoever I have an appointment with happens to be on break. Ever since Tara left, we have been bouncing around from rep to rep. Most recently, I went in because I thought my car needed an oil change. My brother and I arrived on time for our appointment, and, surprise surprise, our service representative (I don't remember his name) was on lunch break. There was no one at the front desk either, so I asked another representative to help us. She told us to wait for the receptionist to come back and that we would then fill out an early arrival form. I did not understand the purpose of this at all because we were on time, not early or late. When the receptionist finally showed up she said that she would try to get my service representative since he was apparently in the back room. There was no apology from him when he eventually came out to help us. The entire interaction he was very condescending and was not helpful at all. We were extremely disappointed with the service we received. For the amount of money we paid for my car you would think that we would actually receive good service. That's clearly not the case. They took 4 hours for an oil change with an appointment. And because I passed on one of the service recommendations, a dash light warning was left on. When I asked the service writer to clear it, he said that only the mechanics can do it when the recommended service is completed. I figured it out in 2 minutes at home and cleared the light myself. So either I was lied to in order to drum up more business, or their service writers need to be better trained. My previous service also took several hours to replace a tire pressure monitor after incorrectly installed. On the plus side, they washed my car after the oil change and had Uber to take me to and from home. Also, the sales department exceeded my expectations. read more
