Proof I had them check electrical concern they stated I declined
    Lou H.

Terrible dealer, terrible service, straight lied about not being able to service my RAV4 under factory warranty and sent me to Simi Valley. They claimed I declined an electrical check of my brake system when the warning light kept coming on and said I had to return to Simi Valley Toyota where I bought the RAV4. Truth is I had it serviced in T.O. first and they had checked it, first stated they couldn't duplicate my concern. Next time I came in the service manager, Bri, lied and said they couldn't touch my car because I declined to have them check the electrical issue last time, and that I'd have to return to Simi. Claimed to be in contact with Toyota which corporate said wasn't true. In the end these places are franchised so they do what they want. See last review, in going through paperwork I found proof they did check the concern and lied. With crazy markups and add ons I wouldn't buy here and would take my car to any shady shop over coming back here with their blatant lies.

I had my car serviced -- oil and tire rotation on March 31, 2026. Two days later (I had not driven the intervening day) as I'm on Pearlblossom west of Victorville and I start hearing a rattling and bang noice from right rear. I pull over and see that the wheel well trim work was disconnected from the body. I found a local body shop that was able to put in screw. This should have been caught by service at TO Toyota. I filled out a contact form : NO REPLY I called service and left message for Service Manager Dustin Williams on Wednesday April 7th, 2026 : NO REPLY

I had been looking to get a plug-in hybrid and was open to all makes and models. Over a 3 week period I visited several dealerships and even searched on line. However the aggressive practices, bait and switch, obnoxious follow up calls, texts and emails just turned me off to the whole process. Then my pal Jason introduced me to the team at Thousand Oaks Toyota and It was by far the best experience at a car dealership that I have ever had. They explained everything from trim levels to lease options And when I did finally decide on what I wanted , they really made a deal that I could not refuse. From the first of several test drives with the sales manager Cory, meeting the dealership's owner Al, to the final paperwork with the head the finance dept. Suzette, I was treated with patience and respect and never felt pressure. So If you are in the market for a new (or used) Toyota, look no further as this is the place !

One name, 3 letters - Kam!!! Kam is the Man!! I'm allergic to Men, but NOT to this calm, cool & collected car expert at Toyota Thousand Oaks. I bought a car 3 months ago somewhere else & was harassed & treated poorly throughout the experience. Kam heard the story & immediately reacted towards me with genuine concern and determination to help my story have a happy ending. He dug in & sat with me at length and worked through my budget and concerns with the precision and attention to detail that only someone with copious amount of car sales and experience can exude. When you are next in the market for a new or used car, I hope you will trust my review and make an appointment to meet with him and lay out your needs and goals for this huge and important purchase. Kam treats everyone with buckets of respect and patience. He gets what makes a good person and THIS makes him the car God that he's evolved into over the course of his career. Peace!!! From the moment we walked into Toyota of Thousand Oaks, the entire experience felt effortless, but the real standout was working with Yanet Diaz. Yanet is truly exceptional. She struck that rare balance of being knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely invested in making sure we felt confident every step of the way. No pressure, no gimmicks, just honest guidance and a clear commitment to getting us exactly what we wanted. We came in looking for a 4Runner Platinum, and she delivered beyond expectations. Not only did she help us secure an incredible lease deal, but she also made the entire process smooth, transparent, and actually enjoyable, which says a lot when it comes to car buying. She took the time to walk us through every detail, answered all of our questions without hesitation, and made sure we left feeling excited, not overwhelmed. You can tell she truly cares about her clients and takes pride in what she does. If you're considering a Toyota, do yourself a favor and ask for Yanet Diaz. She turned what could have been a stressful experience into one we will genuinely remember for all the right reasons. We LOVE our 4Runner Platinum, and we have Yanet to thank for it!

    Oil stains on seat

Very unprofessional experience at this Toyota service center. I waited over 3 hours for a simple oil change and tire rotation, while my car was actually ready for about an hour and no one informed me. Service Advisor Alex Dupont was dismissive, rude, and denied obvious damage. It seems he's either anti women or recist because he had the same attitude 8 months before when I was there! My car was returned with grease on the door handle and oil stains on the seat (check the photos). He refused to take responsibility and even claimed it was already like that. Service Drive Manager Daniel Ochoa was just as unprofessional and rude. After promising a resolution, he ignored multiple calls for over 10 days, then argued, refused the agreed compensation, and told me "you're not welcome here." I had to escalate to Toyota corporate multiple times with no proper resolution. Avoid this location. Extremely poor service and zero accountability. You're better off buying American cars with tax-deductible benefits.

Excellent costumer service, attended to immediately, great deals. These are only the few reasons I would recommend you come here for your next Toyota

STAY AWAY - Deceptive Charges and Worst Customer Service Experience I purchased a Camry from this dealership about a month ago, and this has been the worst car buying experience of my life. UNAUTHORIZED CHARGES: Two weeks after purchase, I discovered nearly $2,000 in charges for products and services that were: - NEVER explained to me during the sale - NOT listed on the vehicle's price sticker - Items I didn't even know I had purchased - Products I have no idea how to use Even the salesperson himself admitted he provided NO explanation or introduction about these additional charges. DISCOVERED AFTER SURVEY PERIOD: Conveniently, I only discovered these charges AFTER Toyota's customer survey period had closed. This prevented me from reporting the issue through official channels. Coincidence? I think not. FINANCE DEPARTMENT: The finance department has been completely unhelpful, making ridiculous excuses and refusing to take any responsibility. THE GENERAL MANAGER - THE WORST PART: The General Manager was the absolute worst person I could have brought my problem to: - Getting a meeting with him was harder than getting an appointment with the President - Access to him was so restricted it took TWO WEEKS and TWO in-person visits with constant insistence just to see him for a few minutes - When I finally met him, he was completely unhelpful - He dismissed my legitimate complaint with the excuse that "too much time has passed" - He refused to help despite knowing I had been trying to resolve this from day one THE REALITY: I tried to resolve this the MOMENT I discovered the unauthorized charges. Every single time I contacted them, they stalled me with excuses and barriers. The "passage of time" they use as an excuse was entirely caused by THEIR delays and avoidance tactics. BOTTOM LINE: This dealership charged me $3,000 for undisclosed products, made it nearly impossible to speak with management, and then blamed ME for the time that passed while THEY were stalling. Do yourself a favor and go to a dealership that values honesty and customer service. This place does neither.

    Our new 2026 RAV4 XLE

Thanks to Brian Lamb, we just picked up our new 2026 RAV4 XLE premium from Thousand Oaks Toyota on 6/11/26. This car is very much in demand and we were "looking" as we didn't like the year old car we bought after giving our daughter our 6 year old car. Brian was professional, knew all the features of the vehicle and didn't pressure us at all. We used the Costco buying program and this didn't seem to make a difference in how we were treated. The cost and options were clearly outlined and how much our trade in would give towards the purchase. There was never any pressure to buy. Brian put in an order for the RAV4, in the color and with the options we wanted and it came with an extra option that we didn't know we would like so much (roof rack) I just like the look on the car. Brian kept us updated via text where our car was in the US as it came via train from Canada. A nice touch that kept the excitement going. The silly thing that put a smile on my face was seeing our car in front of the dealership with a huge read bow on it. Silly, but this has never happened before in my many years of buying cars. The business office is the place where I dread as the finance people are generally pushy and annoying. This was NOT the case with Andy Ross. He listed what our options were, we declined most except for the prepaid maintenance. We had our handy calculator (on our phone) and figured out that the cost was essentially the same as paying for time of service costs. The reality is I have NO excuse for not taking my car in for service. Thank you Toyota of Thousand Oaks Sales Dept.

If you're looking for an honest, highly skilled mechanic, S & M Automotive is outstanding and checks so many boxes! I come down from Ventura to see "Shady", and his name couldn't be more ironic, because there's nothing shady about him or his work. He's been maintaining my 2005 Lexus SC430 and has saved me a boatload of money on repairs and maintenance over the years. He's respectful, friendly, and clearly takes pride in getting things right. My most recent service made the car run like it did when it was new. The engine is humming smoothly again, something I've honestly NEVER experienced after a repair or routine maintenance anywhere else and I've owned this car since 2007. And while the name S & M Automotive might make some people do a double take (hahaha), the only thing painful here is realizing how unnecessary other repair bills can be once you find a mechanic this good and dependable. If you want honest, skilled automotive service, S & M Automotive is absolutely trustworthy and dependable.
