I've been here a few times for sales and have generally had pretty fair experiences. Have gotten some great offers on cars in the past that didn't work out but finally got into a Supra at a decent deal. Not a fan of their mandatory add ons but you can typically negotiate the price down to cover that cost. I'd give sales a 3.5-4 star but this is about their service center. Took my Sienna in for its 5K toyota care service. Was informed that there was no oil change, which I figured so that wasn't a big deal. I paid out of pocket, about $130 which is kind of wild since it was $80 in labor for a 30min job. I'm still not even mad at that though since it is a dealer after all. Whats really annoying is that they scratched my cars side skirt during the service. I sent a message to them about it after I had picked my car up and went home...no response. Unfortunately I can't exactly hold them to it since I went home but I know that the scratch wasn't there prior to me bringing the car in. I walk my cars every day in the morning when I bring my kids to school and I would have seen it. No way it could have happened in the 3 miles back home. As a dealership this place is easy enough to work with, but for service, I'll drive over to someone that'll take better care of my car. read more

Also, I've never left with tire pressure not being checked/fixed. Lazy. I asked if he could call Toyota corporate and figure it out. He said NOPE. He wont do that. So I spent 40 minutes with a lovely woman at corporate who verified everything. Furthermore, the issue is something missing from my car that is STOCK thats missing. They sold me the car with missing badging. So even without this letter ... hello! Its pretty clear the dealership sold me an incomplete car. I've purchased about 4 cars in this Simi Valley Toyota franchise over the span of 25 years for myself and family. So, I practically know much of the people who work here except the new salespeople who come and goes, every several months. In essence I keep coming to this dealership for service, parts and checkups for whatever I need. I also often browse around the sales platform to compare the prices and the ongoing new stuff they come up every year while my car is being serviced. The dealership is clean, neat, tidy and their bathrooms are super inviting. They also offer tea, coffee or other snacks while you wait for your car to be serviced. But I'd like to give my 5 stars to their parts department, they're ways polite, kind and willing to help you out whenever you need anything whether on the phone in person. I ended up donating my older Camry to charity to help our community center and had some of the air filters that I no longer need. I called Julio of the parts center and asked in I can still return some of the parts I bought for my cars. I purchased a new car in August and apparently one of my rims was damaged twice. I have never curb rashed it and my tires are mushroomed out over the rim. I thought the service department would be great. 1st they refer me to a shitty tint guy from West Coast Tint who never called me back. 2nd my rear passenger rim has had damage twice and they blamed me for curb rash. I never curb rashes it. 3rd they said that Americas tire doesn't know what they are doing and Toyota is the best. Hello America's tire deals with rims and tires all the time. I was told it was not curb rash by 3 different places. Lastly the service advisor - Manish Sharma was a complete jerk. He kept blaming me for curb rash when it was the same rim twice in less than a month. I stated I did not do it in front of my son. BEWARE: I recently went to get my car serviced at this Toyota Dealership and got absolutely reamed on the price. I originally just wanted an oil change and an air filter change. I was told at 50k miles I needed half a dozen other items done to my car for a total of $1,900. I told them that was out of my budget right now and I just needed the absolute necessities. They lowered it to $1,400 and told me that at 50K miles these would be the necessary services I needed done. Being unfamiliar with cars I agreed thinking this was necessary for my car to continue to operate safely. Upon receiving the bill I realized 80% of what was done was useless, unneeded, and borderline criminally overpriced. I was essentially charged $1,400 to just add random fluids to my car. Then I get a call half way through the service saying my breaks need to be replaced and are 2cm thick which would have cost me another $1,600. Because they overcharged me so badly on useless fluids I now can't afford new breaks for my car which are actually needed. They would have made the same amount of money if they offered me what I actually needed versus upselling me on useless fluids for $1,400. The staff were friendly and I understand they are sales guys trying to make money, but they really screwed me over on the cost and I don't think I'll ever come back to this dealership. Below are just a few of the price gouging services they charged me: - $162 for an oil change - $213 for transmission fluid - $168 for brake Fluid - $278 for cooling fluid - $72 to change an air filter - $160 on AC Refresher BTW I never requested any of these asides from the oil change and air filter yet my receipt says I requested all of these services which is a blatant lie. Went in for an oil change yesterday and like I said before, technicians are incompetent. They still are. I went back home to check the oil in my car and it's still the old, dark oil. No wonder it was the fastest service I've ever had. It's because they never did what I mainly came in to do. So learn from me. Don't waste your time and energy on this place.
