They let you know what's going on with your car throughout the entire repair process. Even when I returned a few days later for what I thought needed an immediate follow-up, they didn't hesitate to accommodate all of my needs & address all of my concerns. Their hospitality is on-point. Granted, I never looking to have repairs done, they make the process & painless as possible. Also, it's nice to have the amenities in the lounge while waiting. We are a Tesla family 2 S, 2 X, 4 Y's. After moving to ventura county, we tried connecting with the Tesla service center of Thousand oaks. Within a month we have tried to speak with someone, anyone, at least a dozen times. Most of the time, you cannot reach anyone, but when you do, they will quickly tell you to hang on, and without music or message on hold, will keep you on hold forever and never come back. Eventually the system just hangs up on you. Their customer service has surpassed terrible service, straight to no service! read more

I used to love my Tesla (we have two of them) but my recent experience with them has made me vow never to purchase one again. When our Motor blew on our Model X during a family road trip it was terrifying. I was left stranded in a small, resort town in Colorado with my husband, two kids and Golden Retriever with a undriveable car -- 15 thousand miles left on our warranty -- and Telsa refusing to help us get home because a tree didn't fall on it. They did tow the car from Durango to Santa Fe, New Mexico (small win) but then refused to help us find a rental car for my family and dog to get back to California. Getting a car was terribly difficult -- we were in a resort town that didn't love the idea of losing a car to a one trip to California. But then they refused to help with the expensive last minute bill, again -- because a tree didn't fall on it. But it doesn't end there. After a harrowing trip home to California, we asked politely if they could put the Tesla on one of their trucks and ship it back to California once it was repaired. Their answer was a flat no. They don't do that, they said. So now, we need to flip the bill to fly from LA to Santa Fe, and two nights hotel to get home. Not to mention the time we are losing. Needless to say, I am livid. Because again -- the car is still under warranty! If only a tree fell on me. That way Tesla would be forced to give better customer service. It is beyond me why a company would be so unflexible when this is clearly their fault. I am not even asking for a reimbursement on the rental car... I just want my car back without three more days of headache because their parts don't work. Service in Santa Fe (which was lovely) tried to make me feel better by arguing that I'm getting a $6000 part for free. Nice try. I'd rather have had the original part just work in the first place. If that happened, I'd still have the $2000 in my pocket and maybe a nice vacation. I'm waiting, Telsa -- for you to do right by me. One of the better Tesla Service centers I've been to. They seem not to be too crowded. The Tesla way to service cars and the scheduling system still has it's drawbacks. This location has a few demo vehicles to try out when servicing your vehicle. I've driven the Cybertruck while getting work done, just need to bring it back by the end of the day. My Tesla required another seat occupancy sensor replacement just over two years after it was replaced under warranty. I was told this is a safety related component tied to airbag deployment, and repeated failure raises serious quality concerns. I requested goodwill coverage since the vehicle is only slightly out of warranty and this is a recurring defect, but after being told it would be reviewed post inspection, the request was immediately denied. A clear bait and switch experience. I also attempted to use a prior service credit Tesla offered after this same service center damaged my brand new , 1 month old, Model X Plaid, requiring repainting the entire passenger side and replacing the mirror. No one could confirm or apply the credit, and I had no choice but to pay the invoice to retrieve my vehicle. I raised an additional safety concern about the vehicle allowing to be put in Drive (with no driver override confirmation) with a door not fully closed, which caused damage to my vehicle, yet the service center refused to escalate the issue with Tesla or address it. Across multiple visits, I've seen a pattern of poor transparency, inconsistent information, lack of accountability, and poor customer service. The vehicles have nice technology, but the service experience at this location has been extremely disappointing and has made me reconsider future Tesla purchases. read more

Where do I even start. They had my car for more than 4 weeks with almost no updates. The agent, Stone, was extremely slow and unresponsive. I constantly had to follow up myself. When I finally picked up my car, I discovered the glass was cracked while in their possession. Instead of taking responsibility, I was told to "call their legal department." After a horrific experience at the Camarillo location I'm happy to report that the Thousand Oaks location got my service squared away in short order. No bad attitudes, no drama.. A tech wrote around with me in the parking lot for literally 30 seconds to confirm the issue that my vehicle was in to have resolved... Five minutes later I was driving away in a loaner vehicle. That simple. Unfortunately, Julisa at the Camarillo location, believes that creating unnecessary barriers and making customers jump through hoops simply because "she can" is an appropriate way to address Customer Service. I do not subscribe to her mindset. Avoid the Camarillo location, I strongly suggest the Thousand Oaks location, which has far more service appointments available, loaner, vehicles, available, and friendly staff to help you... I've given this review for stars initially because I had to reschedule my service due to Julie Lisa's horrific customer service at the Camarillo location which caused a several week delay in getting my issue addressed . I'm hoping this is a one and done in an out service and if so, I can update my review to five stars to reflect the service at this location . As a business owner, leaving negative reviews are not something I take lightly. Someone has to really screw up for me to write a bad review. Here was my experience: 1.) I needed a screen issue addressed and tried to contact the customer service with a nightmare phone tree that you can't get through to a human on. The app was glitchy and my messages weren't being read to answer questions and concerns. Finally, I requested a human call me from the app until I got someone on the phone, at which point I was already incredibly frustrated after 2 days of persistently trying to get a hold of someone. 2.) I was told I would need a $2100 infotainment upgrade for a new screen and updated computer. I was told this would take 1-2 business days and they would reserve a loaner vehicle for me since Uber credits are no longer given and I've been stuck with no means of transportation and ubers charged on my own dime in prior service events for my car. 3.) Upon arrival at the service center, the staff was highly disorganized. They had 6 incoming loaners and nobody knew where the keys were. When I approached the rep helping me, she stated there were "no loaner cars available". She couldn't care less about any follow up questions or concerns I had, she literally just walked away to another customer. I hunted down the rep who said he would reserve the loaner for me, and they brought a filthy loaner vehicle that I had to take the car wash. Rep thanked me for "not yelling at him". 4.) After leaving the service center, I got a message a few hours later stating they couldn't find my key fob and therefore couldn't access my vehicle. After searching, they ultimately found it. Repairs didn't start that day because they lost my key. 5.) My vehicle took TWO weeks to have the upgrade installed. I was sent a message for a $100 loaner vehicle fee and $35 storage fee on my car in their possession. I was on a work trip and told them this was not my responsibility, since they well surpassed the timeline. They noted the change. 6.) All questions I had through the app were basically ignored. I asked clarifying questions about my service needs and the rep didn't even address them until I sent an angry message that my questions are not being answered. 7.) I was told my car was ready for pick up and that my key was in the car's cupholder and I could access the car through the app. I arrived at the location on a Saturday (they said it was no problem for pick up). I arrived, there was NO key in the cupholder, my app was disabled, and no service reps were working on Saturday! Ultimately, someone on the lot used his computer to help me access the vehicle. 8.) When testing the new computer features, climate controls were not functional. I said I wouldn't pay this high invoice without complete functionality. They should have fixed this during their testing prior to notifying me of pickup. They even documented on the invoice statement that they had conducted testing and all components passed. I can only assume they weren't giving the service the attention it needed. 9.) I was told they tested it again, a component failed, they had to order new parts. Pick up delayed again. 10.) I was told to pick up my car the following day, after stating they needed the loaner back. I arrived on the lot AGAIN, and the rep called me in the parking lot and said the repair needed another 1-2 days! I am taking time out of my work days to drive 30 minutes to the service center every time I get a call and you can't call me before my pick up appointment time??? 11.) I finally picked up my car after the next delay, was walked through the upgrade and came home to see that I was overcharged by $500 on my invoice which still has not been resolved. I plan to file a formal complaint for this level of disorganization, horrendous communication, and overall incompetence. WHAT.A.MESS. I love my Tesla, but going through service, which is steadily getting worse and worse over the years, makes me not want to purchase one again. Avoid this location!!! read more

My 2023 Model Y battery had an imbalance which required a HV battery replacement. Yikes! I was told right away that loaner vehicle was not guaranteed and that the repair would take several days. I work full time and I have school age kids, so not having a car for several days is NOT ideal by any means. Jessica communicated throughout the repair process and she set aside a loaner for me even though I HAD to bring in my car two days before my scheduled appointment because the battery would've been dead if I waited for my appt date. I really appreciated her clear communication and quick reply to my questions via Tesla app. Not only that, but my car was fixed three days ahead of schedule and I was given a coupon for a free car wash nearby. Since arriving, no one has been willing to speak with us or take responsibility to address the situation or make things right. I've gotten my car back more damaged and messed up then when I brought it in, but today was the ultimate last straw, I showed up at 4:15 needing a tire and/or buying a spare tire for my car and they refuse to sell me one I'm stuck on the side of the road. Disorganized, Overpriced, and Poor Customer Service on our 2022 Model Y We've had enough. 1. We paid extra for Tesla's tire warranty, yet when we needed it, they sent us an invoice. Completely disorganized and confusing--why pay for a warranty if they don't even reference it? This part was fixed but still annoyed. 2. After just two years, our Bluetooth and WiFi stopped working. We assumed this would be covered, but of course not. Instead, we were quoted over $3,000 to replace what is clearly faulty, low-quality equipment. No goodwill, no warranty help, just a hefty bill. 3. We went an entire day without an update on our car, so we messaged at 4:48pm. The reply? "It's going to need a new car computer. Hardware failure, not software." And then--radio silence. Why? After dealing with the Van Nuys location and leaving there completely frustrated and dismissed they made me feel like my concerns weren't real I was honestly scared to take any of my Teslas back for service. A friend recommended I go see Gigi in Thousand Oaks and I'm so glad I did. From the moment I arrived Gigi and Carlos made me feel heard respected and like I actually mattered. They didn't talk down to me or brush anything off. They really took the time to listen and make sure everything was checked out. It felt like I was finally getting the kind of service you expect from a luxury brand. I didn't feel like just another number or someone they were trying to get out the door. Thousand Oaks is 20 miles away from me Van Nuys is only 8 and I'll still gladly make that drive every single time from now on. That's how worth it it was. Service here is horrible. I used to think this location was great but employee Brandon had told me my 2026 model y battery degraded 8% in less than 3 months was "normal" even though Tesla says 2-3% in a year is normal. I'm losing 1% every week I'm driving it and Brandon seems angry annoyed and defensive and refused to help me even get the car looked at. One of the strangest interactions I've ever had. When I asked to speak to someone at a higher level to try to get service, the manager made it clear he didn't know technical details about Teslas because he didn't own a Tesla and said he refers to Brandon, the associate for technical questions because "he drives one." I purchased a used 2023 Tesla Y from an Audi dealership. There was an unknown problem between the previous owner and Tesla, Inc that my salesperson was unaware of when he sold me the car. This problem prevented me from installing several very important features in my new car. I was told that I had to see a Tesla dealership to resolve the problem. I underwent several days of extreme frustration with Tesla dealerships telling me that Audi had to resolve the problem and vice-versa.
