They came by and did some measurements and then after a few days they sent over some renderings for us to pick from. I would not waste the time meeting with these people. We are doing a 150k backyard pool and landscaping. Called this company they not only came out once but twice. Both times feed us with us lines that they would drop off samples and said within 3 to 5 days would have a rendering and quote. 1 month later, still nothing. After telling them I was going to leave this review, they then responded that it was my fault that they couldn't meet us with our timeline. Well, we didn't give a timeline. They gave us the timeline. So if this is how they are with timeliness of just trying to get your business. I can only imagine how non responsible they are after they have your business. Similar to another poor review... things looked good at first. But I don't think the drip was done properly as 5 of my plants are sickly and 1 just died... the other 8-9 are fine. I called the sales person for over a month and was promised he would swing by to give me a quote for more work and to look at my sick plants. 3 missed appointments over 4 weeks, lots of excuses and promises - and bad communication - I finally sent a text to the owner and then was told my sales guy died that morning .... Felt kinda bad since I told the owner he was a bad salesperson. Three more weeks and I start emailing them (3 times) - the third time with a bad review threat and the owner says he will will call me back - a week goes by - bad communication - and it was obvious that Russ was not interested in providing customer service. I just emailed him that I would just hire someone else to fix their poor work. One more thing - the owner said they never provide a warranty on plants - but I have a 1 year warranty written on my contract from his sales guy. Apparently the warranty is useless and not going to be honored. They got their money and moved on to the next job - they don't care about any kind of customer service. I warned them this would result in a bad review - but they don't care. read more

Although the landscaping looked good when finished...a few weeks later I had two out of three trees dead and now have several plants that look sickly as well. And I noticed the lighting wasn't put in correctly (they're very loose and wobbly) and the rock that I paid for is very thin. It barely covers the dirt. I've called numerous times and texted their site manager at least two dozen times to have them rectify the situation to no avail. They don't mind taking your money, but they absolutely do NOT stand behind their work. I feel as though they do not care one iota about their customers and are only looking to get paid. You can find better and more reliable landscapers. Call another company and save yourself a headache!!! read more

Russ Landscape & Design did a fantastic job on our landscape project. They helped us design a way to increase the usable area of both the front and backyard. Not only did they tear out the old existing landscaping (which they did quickly and efficiently) they also installed LED landscape lights, planted numerous shrubs, trees, sod, synthetic grass and rock, they trimmed our existing trees, added pavers, and installed all new irrigation. Thanks to Russ Landscaping & Design, we have so much more usable space! And our dogs love their new dog run! Brandon and Johnny were extremely professional, and followed covid protocols including wearing masks and socially distancing. They were so friendly, stayed in constant communication throughout the project, and their crew worked quickly and very proficiently. Russ Landscaping was quick to get/take my money. The day they finished my backyard, I asked the crew to look at the dead tree in my front yard. The crew was eager to help and said they could fit me in that week. I got a text later that day and he told me he was sorry but Russ Landscaping wouldn't do it because there was not enough profit. Really? I just spent close to $9000 on my backyard and you can't help me out? I can overlook the little things (like all the plastic that shows above the dirt), but my drippers weren't working correctly and I called to ask them to come look at it. Crickets!! Some of the work was good and the crew was very nice, but the overall customer service sucks!! read more

Rather disappointed. We recently moved into a new home with an extensively landscaped backyard on close to a 1/4 acre lot. I called this company based on their flyer stating they do Lawn & Garden care and Tree Service. We have 17 palms, 7 fruit trees and about 7 or 8 other trees on our property as well as about 20 other flowers/ground cover etc. that quite honestly I need help identifying so I can know how to care for them. I was told by the first individual that someone would call me today and come do an estimate. That gentlemen called and sounded rather disappointed that I was ONLY going to get an estimate on maintenance and not a new landscape. He never bothered to show up and when I text to inquire if he was running late I got the "who is this?" reply. Thankfully there are PLENTY of other businesses out there. read more

My husband and I built a new home and moved here from PA. Our backyard was not finished when we moved in last October. We reached out to 7 company's for quotes on pavers, gravel, and turf for our backyard. RUSS Landscaping was the most reasonable and they had excellent follow through whereas many local company's ghosted us. We had to wait a month or two in order to have our turn scheduled but it was worth the wait! When it was our turn to have our landscaping done, a team of 3-5+ professionals did a fantastic job and we're done on time (3.5 days). They were also very good with clean up. I am giving Russ Landscaping a 2-star review because after I paid them over $17,000 for landscaping my backyard they have never once come back after the final payment was received. I have texted and called them multiple times about two palm trees which appear not be getting enough water and may need the drip system changed so they do not die. I contacted the lead installer on a Monday after they finished the job and he said they would come by the next day, no one came by. I texted him the next day no response. I Called him the following day and he said they may need some spikes to allow the water to soak deeper and he would be by the next day. No one every came by or contacted me. I contacted by text and phone the guy I signed the contract with and he said he would stop by later that week. No one every came by and was never was contacted. Service after a complete backyard install is a must and Russ Landscaping totally failed me after receiving over $17,000. Do yourself a favor and use someone else!!! read more
