It's so hard finding quick dental care in Portland and was surprised when I called to make an apt…read morethey had openings right away. I went in and the first apt was X-rays and other general teeth questions (new patient).; I figured cleaning apt would be weeks out, but they got me in literally that next Monday. I do wish they would've just done it all in one go, but the teeth cleaning was less than 40 minutes. They were very good and wasn't too painful like other dental offices. I was able to get my husband in and he's had more work done and they have been great about it too. Highly recommend. Also side note, they close the office from 1-2pm for their lunches. Very nice office, clean and the receptionists are friendly and helpful.

Worse experience ever, happened twice in 2 weeks for permanent filling. Careless doctor since 1…read moredoctor and wants to hurry up and finish the job. Making appointments and does not have 1 minute to talk with the patient. Wants to finish up the job at the same time meaning, "seeing 3-4 patients at the same time" keeps on hold saying okay be fast i don't have time for you let me do my job so that i am done with you since i have other patients waiting for me" this were the words from the doctor. For my filling i had 3-4 injection in my gum needed time to get numb but then he started doing the filling said let me know when it hurts, so once started the filling kept saying cavity and kept drilling in and then i felt severe pain in my gum and then gave me more numb injection told him give me minutes since i started to loose my consciousness and started to sweat but he said if can not hold the pain for a while he will go see next patient since he does not have minutes for me to get relaxed i started with the procedure and then its over 2 months i still have serve pain since i had no pain at all in the beginning i just wanted a small filling to get covered since i was afraid that if i eat anything it might get worse. But we spending so much money to be seen patiently but not treated like this. After that so much pain the dentist goes to see other patients without getting my concern he told the assistant to clean all my teeth after a while when she started taking my measurements and started with my teeth i asked what is happening and she said oh the dentist has told her to clean the teeth. I just agreed to get my small filling fixed but why you people doing something on your own without getting the patients permission even though in life its free at your clinic I recommend people get somewhere else my 2 experience were so horrible here. 2nd Response: If i am not a patient of your clinic how come i have the receipt. Please be reasonable and find the attached copy of the receipt. 3rd Response: What do you people think, have we not called your office yes we did only response we got was "we so sorry to hear that and wish you feel better". And then we said on the face of the dentist that treated us in an appropriate manner that please try to be calm with your clients but he said the same thing again like "well if you want to be treated be fast i do not have time since i have other clients to look after", so what else we people except from this place, or should i say horrible experience happened twice in 2 weeks. How come 1 dentist see 3 clients in different room , give numb injection come back do filling starts hurting can not breathe, painful, sweating feeling unconscious but still the dentist and the assistant there and i say please give me 2 minutes its so painful and i will pass out any minute but still your horrible dentist says i need to be fast or else you can leave since i have other patients waiting there. If can not see 1 person at a time why only have 1 dentist and take so many appointments "WHY" you people improve your skills hiring good human dentist that understands what human pain feels like and not been treated like animals that does not have a feeling for others with their pain etc.

Now that I have visited the office several times, I feel like I can provide an informed review…read more I've had an initial screening with x-rays, a cleaning with root planing and scaling (if you just shivered a little, that was the correct reaction), filled a cavity and replaced an old filling, and got fitted for a night guard. I am not a great patient; I have anxiety about visiting the dentist. It isn't irrational - I got this way after a lifetime of experiences that don't need to be recounted here. Just wanted to say I'm not crazy, I'm just a little broken. Because of this, I don't go to the dentist very often. I take really good care of my teeth and gums and hope for the best. I knew that I had a filling that needed to be replaced, though, so I've been on the lookout for a provider. I had one, but they kept saying I had a phobia and I know this might be a small thing, and maybe for me it was simply an excuse to not go, but I don't have a phobia. I have anxiety. There's a huge difference. Anyway. The office is on Sandy, in a beautiful blue house with big windows and a sign that says, "new patients welcome". I drive by it all the time, so I had many chances to be reminded and think about it. It took a year or two, but I finally called and made an appointment. They fit me right in for an intake. Great covid precautions in place, not too many patients in there at one time. It's a small practice, so you're going to see the same handful of people every time. For me, that is essential. Trust - it's a real thing and its hard to build when the office has a huge staff. The first appointment was fine, I knew there would be some poking but no heavy machinery. Every time the doctor said my gum gap was more than a 3 I died a little on the inside because I knew it meant some intervention was coming my way. Sure enough - gotta get those gum pockets cleaned out, fill a cavity, replace that filling (the one I could see was deteriorating and I don't know - I hoped would magically get better while I slept?), and get a night guard before I ground my teeth down to smooth stones. Everyone was so nice, explained things in detail, and made sure I understood the plan. I left dreading the next appointment, honestly, but at least I felt like I could make it through. The two appointments for the root planing and scaling also went very well. I'm a red head and studies have shown that we are extra in many ways, the pertinent one being that we need more anesthetic when getting procedures. I had several shots, which in themselves were unpleasant. The cleaning, though, once I was numb, wasn't too bad. I really enjoyed the conversation (my half of it was mumbled) and the time went by fast. Today I had the cavity filled and the other filling replaced and I was a MESS. Just a mess. Shaking, crying, having a really hard time keeping it together. And it was all me, there was nothing happening to make me upset or uncomfortable except for the wild ride going on inside my mind. I hate being this way, and I'm working on it. But it's hard. Dr. Agee and the assistants, and the receptionist, and even the dog know that I'm struggling and they make it as easy as they can. They wait, and they give me space and tissues, and a towel to squeeze. They tell me I can stop them any time I need to, and I did. Then, when it was time to get back in there, Dr. Agee fired up that drill and took care of it like he was working on a formula car in a race pit. The part I really had a hard time with went by in a blink, and I am so grateful for that. The nightguard fitting was so easy to do it doesn't even need to be talked about. Let me wrap up this long review by saying that they are stuck with me now. I know them, I trust them, I will come back (regularly, not just every couple of years). If you're nervous and would like to talk to me about this, send me a message and I'll be happy to describe my experience. If that helps, I'm here for you. I think this practice would be good for just about everyone, the nervous and the not nervous. These are good people providing important service in a gracious way. I'm so glad to have found them.
