Talk about time efficiency! Very little discomfort during procedure, pain or bleeding afterwards. Needed minimal pain meds. I can't recommend his services or his support team enough.

All that to say, he knows what he's doing; we have no complaints on the work itself. During the consult, the technicians weren't terribly sociable, they took the x-rays, delivered the information but definitely seemed rushed. When Dr. Rad came in he too seemed a little rushed, flustered....this made my daughter anxious as he repeated questions a couple times. I think some of this is made more difficult by all of us speaking through masks. Day of the surgery however, we were greeted by Surgical Asst. Kriss; who was great with my daughter. My daughter said she gave her a blanket and a pillow, talked with her, made her feel very comfortable when she was really scared pre-op. My daughter only remembers Kriss from the whole procedure and frankly she's a big reason for the 4 stars; in my daughters words, "she's the best!" She thoroughly and patiently went over all post-op instructions and was just overall very pleasant and caring. I called 5 days post op and spoke with Kriss, she was just as informative and helpful again. The woman at the front desk is very friendly as well. But I do think they could work on it feeling a little more warm and inviting during the consult; less salesy and rushed.

When my insurance…read morechanged I decided to leave Distinctive Dental try out a different dental practice closer to my house which was a big mistake. The other dentist (NOT distinctive) did a filling that they not only trapped blood behind, but also left a massive amount of excess composite that went passed where the tooth meets the gum and essentially made a spear slicing into the inside of my cheek. I could fit a fingernail between the excess material and the gum above my tooth. I was in a ton of pain from the resulting ulcer on my cheek and the headache from dental pain. I called distinctive and was able to get an appointment very quickly. While Dr. Kim and the assistant remained incredibly professional, they seemed surprised and were very empathetic that I was left with a filling in the condition I was. They ensured I was fully educated on my options and involved me in the creation of the treatment plan. At the first appointment they removed the excess material to ease my pain and allow the soft tissues to heal. When I went back for the repair, we had initially thought a crown was necessary, but Dr. Kim was able to successfully repair with a new filling. They could've said the significantly more expensive crown was still necessary and I wouldn't have known better, but they chose better care over making money. The procedure itself was also miles better than my experience with the other dentist--the other office had forcefully pulled my cheek away as far as possible in an attempt to access the affected back molar, while Dr. Kim gave me instructions on how to hold my jaw so he could see. He also checked in frequently to ensure I was doing okay. He also took multiple photos throughout the process so I could actually see what he was talking about, and the before and after difference was night and day. TLDR: incredibly kind and compassionate staff that truly puts patient care over profit and ensure the patient is fully informed and involved in their treatment plan. I highly recommend!

But gone are the days of whiskey on the back counter and shaking your shoulder to make you hold still! Thank goodness! For what ever reason numbing shots no longer work well on me. My oral surgeon is Dr. Verschueren, and he knows how to work some serious magic. He now gives me IV "numbing". Dr. Verschueren, HIMSELF, gave me my IV and it was literally the most comfortable IV I've ever had placed. Gas doesn't usually work on me either but the stuff he uses did. It relaxed me and my horrible anxiety. I don't have dental insurance and they gave us discounts. His gift of listening completely, gentleness, compassion and true empathy are extraordinary. If you have tricky dental work or specific needs give him a buzz. He and his staff are the best in town and I'm so blessed to have his dental office there for me in those terrifying times when I need them. His being a native Washingtonian adds serious cred too, in my respectful opinion. Thank you ever so much Doc! Miss Sarah

I was escorted to a small room by a very stressed out looking assistant. She literally ran through my past health history and a minute later disappeared. I could hear the Dr yelling at the assistant that she was unprofessional with another patient and that the procedure was a "cluster". He was upset that they had left him without assistance during a procedure. At this point I'm stressed myself. The assistant came back and I said,"I hope he cheers up before he does my procedure". She didn't respond but only slapped the laughing gas mask on my face rudely. She sternly said,"breath in through your nose". The Dr came in and I said I didn't want the gas that it was just making me more nervous. He pulled the tooth and had to make an incision. This more than doubled the price. I was in and out in less than 20 minutes and the price more than doubled. Ashley of course demanded more money but when I asked why it was so much she quickly got irritated. I told her I would call in with my card the next day after I looked it over and switched money from savings to checking. I did call in and pay. The bill didn't make sense but I just paid it. Follow up appointment 2 1/2 weeks later. I asked Ashley to please have my reimbursement check ready as insurance did cover way more of the procedure than she thought. Of course I was told that payment would be months out. I insisted just as she had that immediate payment be made. Horrible experience all around. If you can go somewhere else do it!

I like to approach places with bad reviews with a sliver of optimism and I'm not mad that I gave this place a try. I haven't had any negative experiences with this place. The staff is friendly and they do their job. Scheduling an appointment does take months which sucks, but they have a cancellation list and the hack to bumping yourself higher on the list is calling around 10/11am to see if there are cancellations the next day. So, if you've got time freedom -- that works. The hard part is remembering to make those calls lol. Anyways, overall fillings and cleanings go as well as they do at any other dental office here. They take great care of my husbands teeth and they let me sit in the appointments with him, even if the room is the tiny one lol. So bonus for that. No complaints here. I think if we left this office it would only be for another office that has sooner availability for appointments.

Absolutely Terrible Experience -- Avoid If You Can…read more I normally do NOT write reviews, but my experience with Teamsters Dental has been so frustrating that I feel people need to know what they may be dealing with. The 2.1-star rating makes complete sense based on my experience. The customer service was rude, unhelpful, and extremely frustrating from the beginning. I tried to schedule an appointment after being approved through Oregon Health Plan. I was told that they were accepting new patients and that there was availability on December 23rd. Then, literally about a week later, I was told they were no longer accepting patients until January 2027. How does availability change that drastically in ONE WEEK? Even worse, I had appointments canceled twice after trying to get dental care through them. I first tried to schedule in May, and then tried again about two weeks later, only for that appointment to be canceled as well. After all of that, I ended up having to travel all the way to Beaverton just to get the dental care I needed. I live in the Gresham area, so having to travel that far because the local option repeatedly canceled or couldn't provide a reasonable appointment is ridiculous. The worst part is that I'm not asking for anything unreasonable. I just wanted to schedule an appointment, receive the dental care I'm entitled to through OHP, and have reliable communication from the office. Instead, I've experienced repeated cancellations, conflicting information about availability, and customer service that made the entire process unnecessarily difficult. If you're considering Teamsters Dental, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere if you have another option. Based on my experience, getting an appointment there has been an absolute nightmare. I genuinely hope they improve their communication, scheduling, and customer service, because patients should not have to go through this much frustration just to receive basic dental care.
