RS provides a tiered subscription to their wash services. This ranges from low $20/month to $58.99.month. Supposedly the more you pay the better and more comprehensive the wash. I purchased their highest costing tier, called "Reflection" hoping to get the best wash. However, they do not provide this. There is a manual process of selecting the wash. This is provided by the employee at the entrance to the wash. They have always given me a lower tier (calledProtect and Shine) which has a considerably lower monthly cost. I assume this is because the higher ties costs them more money to provide. DO NOT PURCHASE "REFLECTION". You will be ripped off. Doing this constitutes FRAUD on their part. Buyer beware. read more

I'll probably never go back to this location ever again. It is so congested all the time. Just to get into the car wash is an inconvenience because it's such a small driveway. When there's a line of cars, everyone has to wait in the middle of the road. The employees are not very nice, they just want to sell people the monthly subscription. They actually get mad when people don't purchase a subscription. I also hate that they try to rush as many cars through as quickly as they can. It's a hazard due to how small the location is. The area where cars come out of the car wash is so overcrowded. People don't move out of the way. It's an accident waiting to happen (if there hasn't been one already). The Shelton location runs a lot better. The employees are a lot nicer, and it's much bigger. read more

Amazingly, near where I live there is no do it yourself car wash (which I prefer) and there are only 2 car washes in the vicinity-one which does both inside and out (no option for just out) which is why I go here. It's kind of comical and also weird with cartoonish like characters inside car wash. Vacuums free only for members and I never checked out if non members can pay for vacuum. That area is always jam packed. $11 bucks for a standard wash. They are always trying to sell me the unlimited monthly wash, which even if you go only a few times a month it may be worth it, but those recurring monthly charges for such services are never easy to cancel. I had the same experience some other reviews have had with their extremely aggressive sales pitch, dealing with some punk kid that nearly found himself swallowing a knuckle sandwich after mouthing off at me for refusing to rejoin after four very aggressive attempts to get me to sign up and repeatedly and asking only for a single non member wash to get the pollen off. Went through once with my just purchased vehicle. Signed up for the membership very unfortunately prior to going through the car wash. The whole rear of my car wasn't even washed and now all new scratches along side my car. I've called the location several times and left messages. The voice mail box only lets you leave like a 10 second message before cutting you off, and I requested my membership be cancelled. read more

Wonderful idea for a service, tagged automated car wash, and they do take feedback seriously it seems, and have improved their in-person experience. I've subscribed to them for 5 months now, they advertised the subscription at $25, and since has now doubled in cost. My greatest grief is the inability to call a service member, their posted number has a full mailbox, in addition, I wasn't given any membership passcode. Yelp is my last resort in reaching out to give feedback and get help. Their vertical rotary brushes specifically, leave lots of surface scratches, which is likely due to dust and particle residue trapped in them. The fabric strands orientation makes them harder to keep clean I presume. It's also likely due to their exemplary salesmanship, and volume of cars moving through. Perhaps they should consider integrating a less abrasive approach. Personally I use them in the winter to keep salt off my car, but if I continue with them, my car will run out of paint. read more

I think a lot of the positive reviews for this place on Google are fake, and the business is manipulating the ratings, so I'm posting a copy of my review on yelp because the rating here seems more realistic. ------- When I showed up at 8 am opening on Sunday on my way home after a long drive out of state, I was just hoping for a quick, easy, uneventful car wash. I was surprised to find a long line right at the opening, but as I approached I realized that vehicles with monthly memberships were moving through quickly, but single wash customers were not moving through because they were each being slowed down by a guy giving a sales pitch before entry. When my turn arrived, I let this guy know that I was not interested in buying a monthly membership, just a one time wash. He made a show of asking if it was ok if he talked now and that he wanted to introduce himself, his name is Jason, I was rude to have not given him a chance to give his pitch, how the delay in service was my fault for not letting him talk first not his, etc. The behavior was utterly bizarre, frustrating, smarmy, condescending, and weirdly focused on controlling an (unnecessary) interaction rather than just completing a simple transaction and moving on to his next customer. If I could have driven away at that point to get a wash someplace else, I definitely would have, but the curbing and gates prevent easy exit once you've gotten to that point. After this strange and domineering behavior I did not trust this employee with my credit card, so I paid in cash for the minimum wash. When he came back he insisted that I take the receipt when I said I did not want it because I wanted minimal interaction with him at that point. This was without a doubt the most unpleasant and bizarre customer service interaction I've had in years, or possibly ever. The other employees seemed professional, friendly, fine... normal. The guy who called himself Jason did not. This interaction would definitely dissuade me from ever returning to this place, to avoid bizarre hard sell tactics from a guy on a strange power trip over an $11 trip through a mechanical car wash. This is for the Fairfield, CT business. I have 3 accounts for the family that I've had since they opened in Fairfield. This morning I had to take my daughter's car for emmisons and a quick car wash before she left to go home in VT. I get in the non-member line behind a jeep, that was clearly frustrated wiht the sales guy and I stayed there for a good 5 mins when the guy finally let her pay without a membership. I pull up and I start by asking to please skip the sales pitch, I have 3 memberships for my family. I just need the most basic wash so my kid can get on the road. He completely ignored everything and went right into the pitch. I politely tried stopping him, at that point he began to tell me that I was not well (i'm laughing at this point in complete disbelief this is happening.) Again, I ask him to please take the $20 for an $11 car wash - keep the rest! He points to the exit and tells me to leave. I said this is absolutely fkinng unbelieveable and left. I paid $20 for an express wash, tire shine and wash. They don't spray your car anymore prior to entering the wash. After driving away from my $20 car wash, I noticed the marker to indicate which wash was still on the windshield. I was annoyed but figured I could just wipe it off when I get home. When I get of the car, my driver side had splatters of the black tire shine all over. So I went back, they said get back in line and we'll spray the tires off. I went thru the wash again. The marking on the windshield was still faintly there. 5 mins later I got back home and still, black tire shine on my door but just not as bad. The pic is after the second the wash. Am I suppose to wipe the shine off before driving away????? At this point I was going to be late to work and did not have time for a 3rd car wash. The person running the line was very nice. I went in to get my car washed. The gentleman taking the money told me that for $20 I could be a member with unlimited car washes. Low and behold as others have stated they charged me $47 bucks. I had written to the company requesting a refund for false information having been given to me and they never responded. I am now going through my bank to have the charge investigated. Buyer beware: The monthly subscription is not $20 it is closer to $50. I've been with this location since the first day it was open. The only issue I seem to be having is that I was giving a modified promotional price by the manager and was told that it will never go up again as long as I don't cancel but for some reason it went up twice already. I don't know what it is but the locations in Fairfield, shelton, Milford and norwalk all share one thing in common: the service. I've been coming here since I was a little kid with my father and now I'm 26 years old and im still coming back on my own. Today in Fairfield, Jonathan was amazing. He had no reason to take care of my car the way he did but he made sure it was spotless before I left. This is what he does with every single customer... And they do give monthly subscribers the vacuums soaps etc. but there is no better value than what they give to the monthly subscribers. Outside of the easily and wax the self service extras are amazing. Every spray polish vacuum soap etc for every part you can use for free. The towels the mat cleaners etc. for $20 a month you literally don't have to stress. The guys who work there aren't super helpful but are they supposed to be? It's self service. I asked the attendant for an in and out wash and paid $24.99 for it. When the outside of my car was washed, I then asked who will do the inside windows and vacuuming. I was told I have to do it myself!!!! This is not what I expected to hear from the employee and not what I paid for. I was then told that in and out means "you drive your car in then drive it out." Are they trying to make me feel like a fool? Getting nowhere with any employees at the Fairfield location, I called the office and spoke to Nelson (office manager). I waited a week or so for a response, then called again and spoke to Nelson, still no response after more than two weeks. Their equipment damaged the trim on my $95000 BMW. When I complained, they insisted that they didn't do it. I have a monthly, unlimited pass for both of my vehicles, which I am canceling. Their service isn't as good as other car washes, and now with this damage that they will not repair, I will not return or recommend their service to anyone! Started strong but prices have just about doubled since opening and the experience is worse. Back when they first opened at the Villa Ave location, the pricing was great and the interior window job was the BEST I ever had (including me doing them myself) -- they were using a canned product, don't know what it was, maybe invisible glass? unsure. . but my windows practically didn't exist... it was awesome. But... before too long, the price crept up and they changed the way they did interior windows. Then they stopped using the floormat cleaning machines, they removed the ability to use the vacuums and such outside the building, etc.. The prices keep going up, and yet they are slower and do a worse job over time. As others have stated, there's not quantity or quality of work happening out front. While I'm here.. Something that has bothered me about this place since the beginning.. Their signage SUCKS! They don't have the hours posted ANYWHERE on the building... and the "menu" when you drive up is not useful. Someone at Russell Speeder wanna make your menu signs more useful? Stop trying to make them cutesy.. Just put the services and the prices, make it plain and easily readable.. and also, put them lower in the driveway so that people waiting can make their decisions THERE instead of right up by the wash - your traffic flow will move better and you'll provide a better experience for your customers. read more

When I drove up to pay I immediately got some kind of high pressure sales pitch to get their monthly wash package which clearly felt like I was talking to a hustler. I paid 15.99 for the full wash, which was supposed to include wheel shine and wax. The machine did everything and the entire process took maybe 2 minutes max. There was no human effort put forth to wash the wheels or even towel dry the car. This is probably the worst deal in the history of automotive care. Avoid. read more

I used this car wash one time for my Jaguar at the Saddle Creek Road location in Omaha, NE. It was the worst car wash I have ever had. I could have blown on the car myself and it would have had less water hanging off of it than their dryers. When I made my exit there were no spaces left to dry the car so I had to go to an empty parking lot a couple blocks away to dry the car off. Also that asked if I wanted the special unlimited for a month. So, I said yes. This was before I entered the car wash. The charged my credit card, then the person at the pay booth handed me some ladies business card and said if I wanted an unlimited subscription, to call her. Little did I know that they took my CC information and auto signed me for an Unlimited Wash subscription without my permission. I had only been there once in April, 2021 and had never been back. I raised holy hell and they re-deposited all the funds that they had taken out since May. Around $256.00. That is a really shady business practice. I would never recommend going there for any reason. You can get a better car wash at QT or Buckey's. read more

I went to Russell Speeders Car Wash for the first time recently. It was packed and I was pressed for time. I was trying to figure out what I wanted to order but the whole system was confusing. I guess there is or line but special line for members or pass holders that breaks off later. I'm not sure. It wasn't explained well at all. I was repeatedly offered a discount if I purchased a certain type of wash package. I repeatedly said I wasn't going to purchase the wash package without knowing the type of job they did. If I hated it (which I did) why would I want to be the owner of several more crappy washes? I am glad I stuck to my decision. My car went through the process of the wash and came out with dirt marks all over it still. If I hadn't had to be somewhere in 10 min I would have gone back and demanded either a refund or a rewash of my vehicle. Not only are the prices much higher now, but the quality of service is no better than any other car wash in the region. I have always asked for the full car wash with the mat wash (which is now extra; used to be included in the price) - My car is not even close to being as clean as when they first opened up. Last time my wife went there she literally asked if they were finished cleaning the car. Their reply: "Yes," and I had to clean the car further once she got home. Sad to see such a high quality car wash go down. I used to gladly pay the 20-25 dollars to have my car washed every week - I only stop by every 3 months (If that) now...
