Scam artists with such lack of customer service it's comical. I was given the opportunity to do a "managers special" unlimited exterior car washes for 30days 1 time fee. Little did I know this was going to be a reoccurring bill. When I discovered this charge on my credit card I immediately informed the Fairfield location that I never agreed to a reoccurring bill, no problem I was told not issue only that I would have to come back to the location to swipe the card. I arrive to the location only to find out that the manager is the only person who can process the transaction and that they've left having me wait around aimlessly until they returned. Finally my card was physically ran and the return was issued. The car washes always resulted in me having to wipe the car down, further clean the wheels, and now billing issues. There are significantly better options out there. read more

This is a great car wash with speedy service. I usually go for the express wash, but with the snow I add the chassis wash for an extra $3. It gets the job done quickly and efficiently. I have gone for a full service a a few occasions where they clean the car inside and out, and they do a great job. I highly recommend it. read more

I'm conflicted on this review. The wash was good, and the men who cleaned the interior did a very good job. The downside was that one of the men who was cleaning the my car was EXTREMELY RUDE. I pull out of the car wash and park my car next to the vacuuming area on the left. I wait for about 5 mins since they were working on other cars. This one worker makes his way over and I get out of the car as he approaches. He doesn't say a word to me and he comes off a little mean/rude. I ask him where the garbage is and he points to one on the corner of the cleaning area. Then he moves my car closer to the vacuum and gets to work. I'm standing by the side of the building since I don't really known where to go and I check my e-mails and texts. Another worker comes over, says hi and gets to working on my car as well. As they are working they talk to each other in Spanish. Apparently they mistook me for non-Spanish speaking and the rude one says how dirty my car was. Mind you it was from having a ton of people in there. Uhm sir, that's why I'm here. At that point I stared at him. He knew I understood what he was saying and then he just stops talking. Maybe he did a good job because he's a good worker? Or maybe because he felt bad/embarrassed? I don't know. Even if your'e having a bad day, you NEVER talk about the customer in their presence. Had a horrible experience at a nearby and expensive car wash and will never return there, so I am actually grateful for R.S and highly recommend this Fairfield location to all of my friends and family. Their "Manager's Special" does a very good, and thorough job. Very soapy, wash, wax, underneath chassis and tires. Including an hurricane-wind type drying. It's not super-cheap but not as expensive as some other places. read more

Everything was fine here until the machines stopped washing soap off of my car and leaving streaks. That can only be taken out by hand waxing. When I mentioned something to them by email, three weeks later they told me to stop in and get a full detail to get rid of the streaks. When I went, they had no recollection of anything and told me I could go through and get the "premium wash" for the price of the basic wash. Still left soap marks. read more

Prices go up, service deteriorates !! 26.99 for a inside and outside car wash. It took way too long as there are only 2 people working outside. When this place opened a few years back, they were great. Now it seems like they don't care anymore and they have the audacity to ask you to sign up for a monthly membership ?!? I work in my car, so my car gets a lot of use as I drive from one customer to the next. So there's plenty of wear and tear and just like an office, it needs some regular cleaning. Whenever I bring my car to Russell Speeder, I feel so much better to get back into my spotless car. The folks here have always been friendly and everyone seems to be working hard to keep up with all the cars coming through. The plusses here is that you have a nice place to wait while your car is cleaned and the price is excellent. I got a detail job in NY one day and it wasn't all that much better, but it was like 7 times more expensive. I have no complaints, but I really like that the manager appears to monitor the reviews here and respond to any concerns. Prices keep going up and the quality keeps going down. I have had multiple issues with poor quality washes, manager said he was going to send me coupon for free washes last time that I never received. I pay extra to have rubber mats washes and it looks like they didn't even touch the back mats. Couple of the crew members are great but a few talk about customers and complain more then they work. Think the district manager should spend some quality time in Fairfield. Straitened this location out, no one cares about the fancy new lights they go to a car wash to get their car clean! read more

I haven't been to many car washes locally in Bpt/Fairfield, but from my ongoing experience with this one, they are top notch. I usually get the Ultra Full Service deal for $27 and they do a great job. from cleaning the inside of every window, to taking out and washing the mats. The hand wax stays shiny for a couple weeks and also the tire shine. I'm rarely every disappointed. My ONLY complaint is they don't adjust my seats to how they saw them, nor my mirrors lol read more

Worst experience ever and will never go back to this location. They broke the rear wiper assembly and attempted to, first say only the blade was missing and that it was my fault. They failed to secure it, so it's not my fault. I had to go to my mechanic and have him call! I just I paid for the full service car wash.There was a paper bag with milk and eggs over this carpet. I didn't think it would require too great of an effort to move the bags to vacuum properly. Unless you bring your car completely empty, these guys are too lazy to move things around to do a proper job. The WORST wash I've ever had! When I first arrived I stressed to worker that my main concern was the ice cream spilled on my back seat but since I was there I would like the full cleaning (in and out). He assured me that my seat would "look like it never happened". I was also told it would take 45 mins, so I left my car and went to get food. When I returned the outside was ok but the inside was UNTOUCHED! They only vacuumed my rugs. Ice cream was still there. When I went to speak to one of the workers they acted as If I were bothering them. I looked for the worker I originally spoke with and he was nowhere to be found. Money completely wasted! They not have enough employees cleaning the interior but the managers continued to sell the service and then the wait was about 1.5 hours to actually start getting it cleaned. The managers were each selling from a different numbered booklet which created confusion as to who was next and people were fighting but managers still refused to come to the back to figure things out as they continued to sell more washes read more

Went for a car wash on this beautiful Sunday. The place was packed and when I left, I noticed that there are scratches all over my roof. My car was dirty and without scratches before I had it washed. 19 days ago, I wrote a review about how I signed up for 1 month of unlimited car washes, wasn't given any info that it automatically gets renewed and I complained because they are taking 40 out of my card monthly without me giving them permission. This has been going on 5 months which resulted in over 200 taken out of my account! I'm a single mom and can't afford this and they just continue to take the money out! This is fraud! They are stealing money from people and I'm calling the better business bureau ! Refund my money! Shame on you people! read more

Just moved here from out of state and was so excited to see they had an unlimited membership. Signed up for the most expensive option (Managers Special) only to find out they don't offer vacuums! When I asked they told me I can only vacuum my car if I pay for a detailing service - but that I get a discount. That seems crazy to me - what kind of car wash charges you $30 a month and doesn't even offer the option to pay .75 to use the vacuum? Strangest part is they have vacuums all over the property. Not sure I'll keep my membership as I need to go elsewhere to vacuum anyways. read more

I was just at Russell Speeder's car wash in Fairfield, CT and I thought I was buying the car wash that also included getting the interior vacuumed, but due to their poor description on the sign of what you get at each level I purchased the wrong one. I then proceeded to wait because I still thought I had bought the vacuuming too. I waited for about 10 minutes and when I was finally approached by one of the workers and he was extremely rude and was acting like I wasn't worth his time. Instead of telling me that I would have needed to buy the next level in order to get it vacuumed he just tried to get me to leave. As I was about to turn around and ask him how much extra it would be to get it vacuumed and cleaned he had already walked away from me and went inside. read more

The Fairfield location used to be great. Always great service and a great job. No more! Paid for the Ultimate, had to remind them to do the tires. Manager had no clue what was going on. Only took 20 minutes, the lesser deal used to take at least 1/2 hour. Obviously very short staffed, waited 15 minutes. Then I got home and they hadn't even vacuumed my hatch! Upholstery was barely wiped down. What a rip off. Never had to inspect the car before. Won't go back to that location, gonna try Splash. What a disappointment. read more

This is by far my favorite place to get my car washed. Everyone is so friendly and professional. Everyone wears a tie, which you don't see very often at other places. I chose one star because there is no way to chose none. My car was damaged while I was in the car wash. The equipment malfunctioned and cause my car to lurch to the right, causing significant damage. Mind you they tell you "no sterring, no brakes car in neutral" therefore, I was not in control of the car. When I reported this to Matthew, the crew chief he told me that I was out of luck, that it was not his problem and if I called the police, they would not come there. So I went to the police station to file the report and they told me that there had been three such incidences that weekend, all reporting that Russell Speeder employees had told them not to report it to the police or they would be sued in civil court. They do not respond to calls for insurance information so that I can file a claim. Nasty people, liars reall. read more

I brought my car here to have it cleaned. The workers did a rush job and didnt fully clean the interior. What added insult to injury was my cylinder lock was broken so I asked them not to remove the key. Of course they removed it and I could not start the car. I spoke with the manager Carlos let him know the issue and that I needed to leave my car because it would not start. He assured me they would not tow it. Of course when I came back with my mechanic they had towed my car. They offered me no help in getting it back. It costed me $200 and all they gave me was two free car wash coupons. While there three weeks ago, I was in the middle of the wash when suddenly the equipment malfunctioned and my car was pulled by the chain into the car in front of me. The car behind me was simultaneously pulled into my car. We were stuck in the car wash for a good three minutes before the situation got better. My car was damaged and I tried to speak with management. The crew chief Matthew was as rude and ignorant as could be. He ranted that if I called the police they would not come there, so do not even bother. He could not help it if people did not follow the directions because they are just stupid. I filed a police report at the FFLD Police station. They could not have been more accommodating. While I was there another officer was at the Russell Speeder location on 620 Villa AVE responding to yet another identical incident. Between February 18-20,2017 there were three such incidents. The other two people were threatened with civil law suits if they called the police. Feel free to go to the records department at the FFLD Police department and look at the reports yourself. There are dozens of reports to look at. It should be noted that in the weeks following these issues, Russell Speeder has ignored many requests to provide their insurance information to any of the complainants and has mounted a campaign of intimidation to us all. It should be noted that all three of these reports were filed by women. Seemingly a pattern of discrimination and harassment.Again, stay away from Russell Speeders. read more

So on Sunday April 24th, I decided to take not one but two of my cars to get a full service wash. As busy as I am, I was excited to finally get them done. Unfortunately, when I got back one of my car's had the a/c completely out of place and one of the worker's asked me about it. As soon as I said that was not like that, he went to his manager, there were moments where I heard him say "it was _____ I know it was, do you want me to get him?" I didn't understand how they managed to break a not loose at all compartment from my car but kept my composure and understood accidents happen, the manager on duty had taken my information and let me know they have insurance for these types of cases. I asked if I should contact anyone so that we can get something going, and he reassured me there was no need. I was sure that being a good company, they would help me out. I got my car checked MYSELF so I could give them a quote and when they hadn't responded, I decided to reach out and see if anything was getting processed. The manager immediately called me back and said they were not going to help me, obviously upset I asked to speak to someone else and he said he was not able to give me the number to anyone else and if I had to make a claim to do so. As a manager myself I knew this was not something acceptable and definitely a lack of customer service. However, I decided to go personally and see if there was anyone else to talk to before pursuing further consequences, luckily I met JIMMY, the manager on duty there that morning, he noticed my frustration and was very pleasant to deal with. Even though I was not his customer at that time, he took the time to give me the help I needed and definitely went above and beyond to make me a happy customer. Overall, they had done a great job at the washing, which I had even complimented the day of the incident, it was just the whole other situation that made me upset. But I'll definitely be sure now to go only if Jimmy is on duty, he definitely knows what customer service is about! read more
