But it was a smart little coffee made to order and it was perfect. Staff super friendly and the shop was cluttered but clean. Definitely worth every penny. Tried this salon while my regular manicurist is on maternity leave. The initial greeting was not particularly warm. I was the first customer so a Good morning would have been nice. Also I was not offered a beverage although I did see a menu displayed. The space is lovely beautifully decorated, and the scented pedicure options plus foot/leg massage were very pampering. I appreciated the chargers at every station as well as the location. I had a mani/pedi with regular polish. I avoid gel because of how damaging the removal tends to be. Unfortunately, the manicure damaged my natural nails, leaving dents near the cuticles that will take months to grow out. I usually don't tell professionals how to do their jobs, but I would never allow mechanical files again -- they easily cause this kind of damage. If you want to protect your natural nails, I cannot recommend this salon. read more

I don't normally review non-food places on Yelp but had to give credit where due, this was a 10/10 experience! I called in the day before asking for a last minute appointment. The owner accommodated their schedule to fit me in while ensuring my nails wouldn't be rushed. When I got there, Hazel (sister 15) and another tech were patient, thoughtful, and respectful to help me come up with the best approach. After I gave a very vague set of pictures and descriptions, they said they would do a "white sheer ombre Hailey Bieber nails." The end result was truly perfect to what I wanted!! The appointment lasted a bit over 2 hours. With each step, Hazel was efficient without cutting any corners. She was super meticulous, detail-oriented, and gentle. On top of that, unlike sometimes at salons where it feels like small talk is forced, the conversation with Hazel was so genuine and lovely. The salon does a lot to make it a wonderful experience. Hand mask during the manicure, complimentary tea and coffee options, wireless phone charging stands, and more! I don't get my nails done very often but I feel like the price was pretty par for the course. It was a total of $100 pre-tip ($48 for gel, $30 for ombre, and $18 for white chrome, plus tax). I didn't do removals or acrylics so I can't speak to that. read more

Found this based on reviews and first impression was nice. Saw from across the street as it's on the second floor above the Carvel. Stairs look a little precarious, but it wouldn't be NYC without that. They texted 30 minutes before to let me know they were running behind. I arrived right at time of appointment and you need to be buzzed into the building. A gentleman assisted with opening the door. Was directed to select polish then the scent (not really sure) for the pedicure. I choose the Jasmine one. Ample space behind the chair to put stuff aka heavy winter coat and a bag. Chairs were comfy, I didn't use the massage feature. The pedi started 20 minutes after the initial delay, so. Great job on the pedicure, she took her time and I didn't get polish, which cut a bit of waiting time in the end as I'd be stuffing them back into my socks/shoes. Absolutely fantastic service! I opted to do a cute cloudy night sky design, which the nail tech executed so wonderfully. She was really detail oriented and made sure I was comfortable through the entire process. I even got some guidance when selecting my colors, which was much needed as there were just so many options. And as seen in the picture, which was taken a week after my appointment, the nails hold up wonderfully. The place itself is small, but so adorably decorated. And they even offer you tea and drinks as you do your nails. All in all I absolutely loved this place, and already have an appointment to do a pedicure. My 1st visit was for a simple polish removal + filing - I love that they have this option because some salons don't want to just removal only. But WAH Sister 3 took her time with my removal and filing, which I appreciate. My 2nd visit was for a removal + gel manicure. Since it was a Friday, appointments were completely booked, so I put myself on the wait list, and luckily spots opened up. When I arrived, the manicure seats were all taken, so they did my manicure in the pedicure chair, which was okay with me. WAH Sister 4 was very nice, and she was patient with me in choosing my nail polish colors according to my inspiration photo. Space is very clean and relaxing. And due to its proximity to my workplace, I'll definitely be back again! Note - I don't want to take off a star for this but WAH Sister 4 did drill a little too close to my cuticle nail bed on 1 finger when she was taking off my old polish and it cut me a little. Even though the salon is located in Times Square, it's on the 2nd floor, so you don't hear the hustle and bustle of the busy streets. The salon itself was very relaxing and quiet. The pedicure was great - I got the vegan pedicure done. You have an option on what type of scent you want to be used for the service - I chose olive for a neutral scent, but there's also watermelon and eucalyptus. After the pedicure, I got a gel manicure with a design. I liked how you could text a picture of the design you want for an estimate cost - I was quoted $25 for "high intensity" design, which I thought was really reasonable. Jeeyoung was really nice and made sure she replicated reference picture - she really took her time to make sure I was satisfied with the colors and the design which was great. After the service, you get an option for a drink to-go! Since it was pretty chilly, I got the citrus tea and it was a nice treat after a self-care day. 100% recommend if you are looking for a place that does gel + nail art. read more

At least they should have mentioned it before starting my service. Over $72 for a basic gel manicure with tip is too high in my humble opinion. The stairs up to the salon are the very steep variety. This is one of the best nail salons, if not THEE best, I've been to! It's clean, efficient and great customer service. The nail techs truly take time and care with your hands and feet in addition to your nails. They essentially treat you like royalty while you're here. They also offer water and delicious teas to sip as your nails dry and have coffee cups to go. Having a warm cup of tea to hold in your newly polished fingers is the perfect winter-time pick me up. Man I love this place. They are super professional, clean and accommodating. It was my first time and I had an appointment for 5 but I had to push it back to 6 they ACCOMMODATED me. I get a call that their heat went out and have a small heater I say it's okay and when I arrive they ACCOMMODATED ME. After the masks are seen and worn, temperature is taken, hands must be sanitized then coats are taken by her assistant aka her husband. The decor is super clean and bright. Pink walls with bold ROYAL/CAULIFLOWER BLUE DOORS and nice artwork. Love it. Anyhoo she transformed my crusty feet that hadn't been done since January I did a Vegan Pedicure and let me tell you it was impressive. It was a foot facial. Cleansed, Scrub, mask and the clipping cutting shaping and then a device to scrub my crusty heels. I then did a gel manicure but not just any gel manicure. She puts these gloves on filled with COLLAGEN. I loved it because the gloves protect your hands from the gel machine UV lights and the finger tips are pulled off so she can do her work. AMAZING. But what really got me was the lovely Christmas music playing then you are given hot tea on your way out, some candy too and a Christmas gift. They also gave me 30% off since it was my first time. Prices are higher than I normally pay but they are worth every penny. You get a lot for your money. You get one on one service. Tools are thoroughly sterilized. Products are organic and individually packaged. Appointments are made by phone or texting. Check them out on IG too. But you must make an appointment and wear your MASK. Don't be tricked by the terrible neighborhood. This second floor Korean nail salon is super clean and cutely decorated. Service is great - at least when I went on a weeknight it was not crowded at all and the person didn't rush through the session but even stayed a little overtime for me. They do your nails while you are wearing these collagen skincare gloves with your fingertips exposed. I enjoyed the quirky artworks and cotton candy cute decor. This was probably one of the best manicures I've ever gotten! I texted Nail Wah and made an appointment with Jee Young and also sent reference pictures. They were very responsive and even notified me that I could come in earlier for my appointment. The salon is so cute and clean, and Jee Young was extremely patient and gave me the exact manicure I wanted! My nails usually grow out a little flatter so I was so surprised when she was able to shape them to a more almond/oval shape. I also had broken and chipped nails from a previous manicure, and she helped me save my nails! Jee Young was precise and very skilled, and the salon as a whole provided a great service.
