First visit here, early Saturday afternoon. Dead inside. Unique ordering process as they have gone to a kiosk method. I was really looking forward to this pizza as some collogues of mine had hyped it up. Garlic cheese bread was the best part of the meal, generous on the cheese, about what you would have expected cheesy bread to be like. The big letdown was the pizza. We ordered the Mob scene, meatballs atop, but they were sliced so thin, all the flavor was lost. The dough had decent flavor and had a good back around the edges but the enter of the pizza was soggy, which was a big turn off for me. Inside there was plenty of seating and a decent bar area.

My friend and I were starving on a Sunday afternoon and since I had never been here before, we decided pizza sounded just right. We pulled right in, threw on our masks and made our way up to the ordering counter. We both wanted leftovers so we each got a pizza and a side salad. I opted for the pesto margherita pizza and a caesar side salad. The salad was much bigger than I expected it and it hit the spot. I ate every bite. Pizza is much better as leftovers than salad so I ate a piece or two and saved the rest for later. The crust was a bit underdone for my liking and I knew if I heated it up at home, it would be great! I really liked the pesto and a few hours later when I needed dinner, a couple minutes in the oven and it was pristine. They had all the healthy and safety requirements taken care of and I even noticed my cousin on a plaque on the wall for eating the most slices...13 totally! Could I beat that, NOPE. All in all, I would go back, I'll just be sure to request that I get my pizza extra done.

Had Russo's today with my dad and enjoyed it. While we have several concepts like this in Columbus (Pizza Cucinova, Mod, Blaze), it seemed pretty unique for the area. I had the margherita pizza, which was exactly what I'd hoped for. The crust was perfectly chewy, cheese nice and melted, sauce on point. (Though I am just realizing it didn't have tomatoes on it, which are pretty standard for margheritas.) The environment was welcoming. I was impressed with all the Covid precautions they took (barriers between lines, spacing on the floor, partitions between booths). Definitely recommend if you're in the area!

Nice surprise! I was in the area from Columbus where the pizza is not real good, in my opinion. Brick oven pizza is a great thing & they do a fine job here. Just my first try, I will be back.

Russo's is a newer Zanesville pizza place. It looks thoroughly modern inside. This is another pick your ingredients as you go along the counter place. It rapidly cooks your pizza in minutes. They also have options for vegans. It looks a lot like a chain. Inside there's all this corporate looking equipment and signage. Rest assured that this is the only location in the world. One cool thing is the pop machine with the flavor shots you can add. They also serve alcohol, but it's just stuff like Bud and Yuengling. I had the build your own pizza. It's about $9 for the 12 inch size. This lets you get a certain amount of toppings. Mine came with jalapeños, mushrooms, and spinach. They have a cheese made for vegans. It melts just like regular cheese. The pizza comes out real fast so you don't have that much of a wait. It's a guild place for a small gathering. It's also pretty family friendly. This seems to be popular for birthday parties.

Serving their wood-fired pizza at Circleville Pumpkin Show! 10/20/2018

This Zanesville, Ohio joint does traditional wood-fires pizza, and they have a portable Italian wood stove that goes to many fairs and festivals around Ohio. I've tried Russo's pizza two years in a row, as they've been stationed at the Circleville Pumpkin Show. I forget what I had last year at the Show, but can definitely comment on my 2018 experience. Shared The Pumpkin Patch - a pumpkin alfredo white sauce, sliced sausage, spinach all atop. Great pick! The wood-fires crust was wonderful: slightly crisp on the edges, every bite was soft and chewy - delish! More sausage slices would have been icing on the pizza pie, but I'm not complaining. $12 for the six artisan slices was reasonable. I'd definitely stop by Russo's if in the Zanesville area, and have a hankering for wood-fired pizza.

It's so much better than fast food, but way more affordable than elevated uppity (read: overpriced!) restaurants. Basically I'm saying that Olive Garden is good food at affordable prices. The thing is, it used to be expensive dining but inflation has caused lesser restaurant prices to "catch up" with Olive Garden's prices. Which essentially means that OG now affordable and competitive in pricing. Anyway, all that aside, I want to say that Olive Garden has become a dependable, solid dining experience in our area. We can always depend on predictable quality food. And tonight was no exception. The soup was thick and deliciously flavored, the salad was just as we asked it to be, including a few specific requests. And as always, the staff was friendly, attentive, and accommodating. Well done, Zanesville staff!! You have earned our repeated, regular patronage! Not only is the soup thick, hot and delicious, I would be remiss if I didn't mention that they have the most deliciously fragrant and tasty pepper I've ever tasted!

What a train wreck…read more.. I have given very few 2 star ratings in all the reviews I have done over the last 10 years but this was bad. We wanted to try something new in Heath and Thiango's popped up so we tried it. The interior is nicely decorated but it still had some Christmas decorations up in mid February so that should have been a clue that something was a little off. When we got seated and settled in we realized that it was really cold interior restaurant - like 60 degrees cold. The waiter, Shawn, was horrible forgot our drink order - 3 times. He suggested having the seafood so that is what we had. I had the seafood platter which was OK - the salmon was over cooked and they forgot to put the crab in it. When I pointed out the lack of crab they told me they would get me a side of shrimp? Wifie had the salmon platter with linguini covered in rose vodka sauce which the salmon was over cooked but the rose vodka sauce was really good. It took forever to get the food out and the waiter stopped by so infrequently that our drinks spent more time empty than one could imagine. They offered to bring us more bread but they ran out. The bread was good also. This would have been a great place to dine if it was not for the poor service, the overcooked fish, the cold temperature of the resturant, the forgotten crab, the empty drinks, this lack of bread, ...

Our experience was great! Short review summary: Kids eat free on Sunday made the process awesome,…read moreservice was very good, and food was pretty good. Decor was fine despite the remnants of the old brand still there. More info, for those that care: In my type A personality I noticed a lot. Sure there is still decor that needs attention, like Christmas lights still up (must be a choice on purpose), a few paint locations need touched up, and yes, three surfboards still mounted to the ceiling from the old restaurant, but it didn't change the ambiance much. Music was nice (smooth jazz was playing) and most of all, food was pretty good and price was great. The free appetizer bread was really good, my Chicken Marsala was good, and my wife's Chicken Alfredo was really good. The kids spaghetti and Alfredo cheese ravioli were good too. Nothing tasted like Olive Garden, it had a unique local taste (BTW if you didn't know OG pasta is just bagged and boiled- as someone who works in the kitchen, they'll tell you). Overall the food was cooked well, sauce tastes handmade - salad dressing on my side salad definitely did (balsamic) and despite there being some generic things like iceberg lettuce and generic mushrooms, it tasted pretty good. I think what made it the best was our service, which was outstanding. The place was a ghost town, there was one other party there and us. So we should have had great service. The main host/waiter was great though despite the good timing (he welcomed us and responded to anything we needed quickly). Finally, the price was awesome! We got 2 adult meals and 2 kids meals, with kids eat free on Sundays, so our bill was $43 before tip. Overall we hope to go back and try another time. If you haven't been recently, you should definitely go back and try it again!
