Pizza was cooked perfectly, tasted great. I'm not a huge fan of their sausage - nothing they did wrong, just a preference. Their sausage is crumbled up almost like bacon bits. I have eaten Christie's Pizza for many years. Their quality is on a continual decline. Their staff is instructed to give 'one pepperoni per slice.' Which is actually less than one pepperoni per slice. They have extremely poor customer service and sadly they are not receptive to feedback from valued customers. It's unfortunate. LOVE Christys! I've grown up eating this pizza since I was a kid. It's a sweeter sauce with plenty of toppings to make a pepperoni lover happy! The crust is a little thicker crispy crust which is heavenly to bite into. Christys offers dine in, pick up, and delivery. I enjoy eating here with my kids as the staff is friendly and there is a kids corner with puzzles and child size seating while you wait for your pizzas. Lots of the reviews seem to be talking about staff being rude or overworked, this place had some pretty good pizza and when I made sure to approach the counter with a smile and a lot of patience I was met with the same. You could tell she had been struggling to keep up and their delivery guy was going to be off the clock in 20 minutes and they were seven deliveries left to do. Where should I begin.. we have always enjoyed Christys menu however- the customer service is horrible. I called right after 8:30 p.m. to place orders -3 ( I know separate orders can be a hassle bc I'm a server myself) well lets just say the person I was talking to literally cut me off and said that if we had a bunch of pizzas they couldn't do it bc delivery ends At 9 p.m... I told her they were small orders and to make it easy we'll put them on one order. First- I work in the industry and if someone shows up At 5 minutes before we close- we don't turn them down. It sucks but it's part of the job. If our sign says 9 p.m. anyone is welcome until then. Mind you this was about a 1/2 hour before their delivery stopped! So order in and tipped driver well even though we received no napkins or plates. Food always amazing. I ordered again a few days later and the person who answered ( I know the name however I don't want to call anyone out). Snapped at me saying it'll be about an hour if you want delivery... I know with COVID happening I'm going to wait I'm sure EVERYONE who orders take out doesn't expect regular wait times. I told her no problem and she sighed in my ear loudly and ask what I wanted. After ordering my total was more than my cash at hand so I quickly said hold on really quick while I get my card I quickly retrieved card and she was rambling like I took forever and she was going to hang up on me. After giving her the card number she said something not sure and hung up on me!!! Never got our garlic sauce for the bread( the best part).. the food is always good and I understand mistakes get made especially when your busy however- double check your orders before you take them out- read the notes for special instructions! It only takes a few seconds to make sure your customers are satisfied and want more. I told my friends who were here about my second experience and they agreed until customer service is fixed- we won't be ordering. Can't say much about the food because of how rude the lady taking orders was. Rolling your eyes at customers is absolutely unacceptable and being so put off with questions is a quick way to lose customers. Kindness and a smile go a long way and this employee missed that memo. read more

This is good local pizza. I would not drive out of my way for Christy's pizza though. The sauce is a little on the sweet side. Overall it is pretty good if you live close by. If you live more than 15 miles away, you can find much better options. There are plenty of places to sit, lots of parking, and the staff is friendly. We had to ask to have the tables wiped down because they were busy. A good excuse I suppose. I will say the restroom was the cleanest one I have seen in a while. They have cans and bottles of pop. I would recommend if you are local or in the general vicinity, but, this is not a highly recommend, only a if you are there and hungry recommendation. read more

Well here we go. I have been eating Christy's pizza for over 20 years and it is my personal favorite in Newark/Heath by far so it is difficult to damage their 4.5 star rating but it has to be done. We order there almost every week and 2 weeks in a row our pizza was a little dry (not enough sauce) and this is obviously compared to the hundreds of pizzas I have had there over the years. And if you read the comments, the sauce is amazing. When I placed my order last Thursday on May 25th for the $12.00 16 inch pizza I tell the gentleman that my last pizza was a little dry and requested a little extra sauce but not too much. He immediately huffs and in a rude tone says "well it aint gonna be the special no more... $15.40!!!" I felt like I was dealing with the soup Nazi from Seinfeld. I have never, ever had a complaint about Christy's in the past but as an operator of a well respected restaurant I can tell you that I am literally asking for about 10 cents worth of sauce plus the attitude was unnecessary. I also have to mention that I have never heard of an upcharge for extra sauce anywhere and I called around to ask, could not find ONE. I also have come to the conclusion that you are probably pre-making and topping the specially priced pizzas and don't want to go through the trouble of making a fresh one, which is why mine was dry before because it sat to long before bakig and the dough absorbed most of the sauce. Tip: You have to apply a little more sauce to pre-made pizzas because of this. If this is your definition of customer service then I pity you, your great history and the future of your company in our community because after giving you time to reply I will tell this story to as many people that will listen and I have a lot of ears at my disposal. My family and friends are here after Sat evening Church service for a few years. They have great salads. Excellent cheese breadsticks, (if you don't eat them all, take home and heat in buttered skillet on both sides!!) The pizza is great for the price. Subs are good. It's an affordable place to eat. The waitstaff is friendly & very accommodating. I ordered delivery quite often for a very long time until they kept messing up my orders. The final blow came when yet again the delivery person forgot 1/2 of my order. An hour later she came back with the pizza. I was very disappointed & my family ate before she made it back. Mind you, I've spent hundreds of dollars there. I called to see if they would resolve the issue. To make a long story short, the manager was extremely rude. When I asked to speak to the owner the manager got back on the line. Assuming it was the owner, I proceeded to tell her how rude & disrepectful the manager was!!! Lol She then told me who she was. I asked if I could bring the pizza back & get my money. So I took it back, asked again to speak to the owner and was lied to as they told me she wasn't there & that there was no way I could speak to her. Now...believe this. I was never rude to anyone there. I simply & politely asked for the money back on the returned pizza. So, I tried to place an order a few weeks later. They told me I was on their list to never deliver to again!!!!!! I tried to explain what happened. I asked to speak with owner and they simply told me no. They lost some good customers over their mistake & rude employees. By the way, they are one of the few restaurants in town that hires alcoholics & drug addicts who are at least trying to make a living. I commend them for that. I tried their gluten free Philly cheesesteak pizza and have to admit it was pretty bad. I've had gluten free pizzas before from other places and had a better experience with them. The crust was very thin, it stuck to the pan. The Alfredo sauce tasted pretty much like water, and when I told them there was a problem with the pizza, they pretty much ignored me. So, after a long day of meetings, I decided to order-in pizza to the hotel, and wanted to try a local establishment instead of a Domino's or Pizza Hut. Christy's offered free delivery, and had a fairly comprehensive menu, which the hotel happened to have at the desk. The delivery was quoted as 30-45 minutes, but mine arrived (and HOT) in about 20 minutes, which was both great and unexpected. They only offer one type of crust, an average thickness crust that was quite flavorful, and the toppings were fresh and delicious. I definitely satisfied my pizza craving, and had a good time doing so! Very much recommended if you are ever in Lancaster, OH. read more

I have always loved Christy's Pizza: Great sauce, perfect combo of toppings, and not expensive. They have a wonderful lunch special of a pizza and a salad for $5.75, and my husband and I look forward to ordering their pizzas for dinner. A few months ago, we quit ordering for a while due to rudeness on the phone multiple times. When we ordered a pizza, the lady was extremely short with us and then hung up while I was talking. However, we started ordering again, and then other problems came up: never having our call answered after multiple calls while they were open and a woman who was short again. We don't have this issue when we come in and speak with someone, so I'm not sure who is answering their phones. So, we're stuck with the issue of accepting the rudeness for great food or saying goodbye to one of our favorite pizzas. If you don't mind the possibility of rude, call and order. You'll have a great meal; the food will speak for itself. If you do, go in or try somewhere else. read more

Great pizza. We get thicker crust, extra cheese, pepperoni, mushroom, and banana peppers. The delivery is quick and the pizza is still hot. The inside of the store is very clean. They have a huge selection of drinks in cans and 2 liters. Very impressed with this pizza place. Only negative comment is the parking due to it being downtown, especially if there's an event on the square, forget parking close. read more
