This Zanesville Donatos is less than 3 minutes away from my mom's house so I've ordered from here many times over the years. However, it wasn't until my family decided to do pizza on Christmas eve that I realized I've never left them a review. So, here I am. Find them directly off Maple Ave across the street from Kroger. They have a drive thru window which can make pick up very easy. There's plenty of parking and the dining room is a good size. As for the food, I've never really had a bad experience. My order has always been correct and tasty. With it typically just being a plain cheese pizza, I would hope that's the case. Now on Christmas eve they did forget to give us the salads that came with our order. I suppose we also forgot to get them along with the other stuff. That said, when I went back to pick them up, I did have to wait like 20 minutes, but they were swamped. My family obviously wasn't the only one that thought pizza was the move. But honestly, that's the only real hiccup I can think of and it deserves some grace given the circumstances. Fun fact - Donatos is a Columbus-based pizza chain with 400+ locations and this particular location was their very first franchise location, which is pretty cool. Gotta love seeing Ohio businesses thrive. I have no doubt my family and I will continue to order from here. read more

The first time I ever had Donatos was at this location. My mom had just moved to Zanesville and she had me over one afternoon and ordered it. She told me that I was going to love it and she was right! It was love at first sight. That was about 20 years ago! Since then, she moved away, but we still make it a priority to go to this Donatos when we are in the area. They always do it up right. They have good pizza. But when you call you get a call center in Phoenix. They barely speak English and are not very nice. Then they didn't even place my order. Donato's is a darn good pizza. The crust and topping quantities are what brings me in. The garlic bread is a winner too. The subs are pretty good, and the coupons and special offers are enticing. I rarely eat inside, but the drive thru is competent. read more

The Big Don sub is hard to beat. The best Italian Sub in town. Pizza is great, for their style, which is a highly seasoned/spicy style. I personally like to change up, between Donato's/Tat's/Pizza Cottage, giving my business across the board, as to what I am desiring at the time. My boyfriend picked up a sausage and onion pizza from here this afternoon, in addition to some cheesy bread sticks. The bread sticks were very greasy and pretty underwhelming. Well after placing and order and waiting 25 min the order came out wrong. Along with 3 other orders because of the guy taking orders was too busy barking orders at the employees and blaming them for the mistakes. When he was the one putting them into the computer wrong. I placed an online order for a pizza and a Big Don Sub. When I got there, I paid and I was asked if I ordered a pizza too. I was then asked to pull over to the side and the pizza would be out in a minute. After 45 minutes waiting and 1/4 tank of gas burned, I finally realized they either forgot to make the pizza or they gave it to someone else. Twice, they did try to get me to take other people's orders. I finally drove away in disgust! When I got home, I ate the sub but it was cold and the bun was like a brick. I called to tell them to cancel the pizza and they didn't even offer a refund so they kept money for a pizza they did not provide. We stopped in last week and this was the first time we had Donatos and it was fantastic. We ordered The Works and it was the best pizza we've had in along time. Just the right amount of crust and the flavor was perfect. Customer service was pleasant, giving us the time we needed to place our order as first time customers and didn't seem impatient having to wait. Will definitely return!! read more
