Well I stay in the Zanesville area two weeks each month for work. Thought I'd give this place a try. Ordered the Mexican pizza. What a mistake!! First it was supposed to come with a side of jalapeños, sour cream, and salsa. None of that came. I paid for onions to be added and of course that never happened. Ate two pieces out of curiosity and now I'm not sure if this was grabbed out of the trash or not because it was one of the worst things I ever ate. Really irritated and concerned about this place but will never order from here again and hope to warn others to not do the same. read more

We were just passing through town at lunchtime and saw this place. We're a fan of fun and different pizza's and thought this would be good. Boy were we glad we stopped. We started off with mozzarella wedges that were delicious. My husband couldn't speak after his first bite of the personal sized spicy Thai chicken pizza because it was so delicious. He's a fan of hot cause and jalapeño's so this was perfect for him. It had pineapple on it which was a sweetness that complimented all the other flavors. My personal sized baked potato pizza had a nice blend of garlic butter base and cheese with perfectly cooked red potatoes. My only complaint was that I like my bacon thin and crispy but this was more like ham/canadian bacon chunks that had a bit of gristle. Easy enough to pick off though. The crust was super crispy almost like a pita which I happen to really like. Don't pass up the opportunity to try this place. read more

My brother purchased a large amount of gift cards, when he got home he realized he must have dropped between 200.00 & 300.00 dollars, when he called to check if they found it, the person that answered the phone said yes the did find money, but he had to call the manager. My company gave me 25.00 Uber delivery, ordered from Pizza cottage, a BLT for 12.49 and the total for delivery was 39.48, and wanted a tip or my delivery would be slower, so 3.00 was included. the Pizza was Luke warm and soggy, and driver wanted to chat at 20 degree snowy weather. Pros, it's hot and fresh. Clean place and large. Plenty of parking. Cons, all steak subs are pressed chopped steak but it's the cheap kind and not tasty despite being cooked fresh and served hot. Bread was great, lettuce is lettuce and steak not good. Whole hog pizza was ok. My nephew loves it but I don't like the sauce. Sauce is bland in my opinion. Server treated us well. It came to $38 which is expensive for just a 12" pizza, cheap sub and soda. I made sure the server was tipped well because she was honest the steak sub was not great but I had to try and she served us well. read more

My boyfriend and I stayed in Zanesville last night coming home from seeing family. After a long trip, we were excited to get to our hotel and order food. We got sushi and pizza and decided on this place for the pizza! We love pineapple on our pizza in this family, so we got pepperoni & pineapple. I loved the little slices of pizza! This is our families favorite Zanesville pizza. It is thin, crispy and delicious. All varieties come absolutely loaded with toppings. Yes I pretty much tried all the Pizza places while I was in Zanesville but the family I know there is Italian so that makes sense right? The pizza salad and wings were very good. I'd give them a 4 star rating but they charged us for 2 seperate orders of 6 wings rather then 12 wings why? Because we ordered them half buffalo and half BBQ, which is just plain dumb. I should have spoke with the manager, and she didn't make it clear ahead of time that we'd be charged for both. How narrow minded. I wanted to like this place. It's right down the road from my house, and they have taco pizza. Win win combination, right? Well, the place itself is pretty nice. Good size, decent seats, friendly staff, no problems there. And I will say that the boneless wings have a nice crunch to them, and are well flavored. But the taco pizza we had? It was disappointing. It was watery, not very flavorful, and had way too much iceberg lettuce on it. Maybe their other pizzas are better, I couldn't really say. But finding a good taco pizza is getting harder and harder these days, it seems. I shed a single tear. read more

The pizza is great! Love the "all the way!" My favorite item was there PLT sub! (Delicious!) The pricing is great and service well done! The servers are also nice, as long as you see them in the dining area. I noticed that at the front counter you can see into their kitchen. I over heard a few conversations and some were not very customer friendly. (Making fun of certain people. I also noticed that one worker did not move from her spot the entire time. It seemed like she was talking more than working. If management sees this it was a red head who wears her hair up, and was wearing a black shirt. We came to the the Zanesville area after living in Louisiana for a number of years and were in dire need of finding a top of the line pizza. We tried every pizza place in and around Zanesville over the past 12 months, and who have we decided is #1 ? Yep, Pizza Cottage! Our favorite is the "All The Way" with ham instead of sausage (and Jalapeño's on my half). I figure they must put something special in the dough, cause the wife and I both get a craving for a Pizza Cottage masterpiece at least once a week. That's never happened to either of us before this discovery. By the way, their Italian sub and ham & cheese sub's are great as well. The food is almost always very good here- especially when you dine in. Sometimes the salads leave some room for improvement- brown lettuce, wilted, big chunks, but the delivery service has major room for improvement. It took over an hour to have 2 spaghetti dinners delivered and when I called to see how much longer our dinners would be the woman was snappy with me "they're out for delivery and will be there soon." The employees here have always seemed very apathetic which is a shame because the food is very delicious. I went recently with my family and our waitress only came to our table TWICE during our visit- once to take our order and once to give us our food. I've tried a variety of items on the Pizza Cottage menu and overall I am very happy with the experience each time I go. They have a nice selection of pizzas which are all very good. The only pizzas I've had here that I didn't like were the ones that had alfredo sauce on them, because the sauce tasted pre-made. However, the signature tomato sauce is always excellent. Usually it's different each time I eat here, sometimes it has more tang and sometimes it has more sweet to the flavor. The only negative thing I would say about their pizzas is sometimes they do go a little overboard with some of the toppings (vegetables especially). Usually when I go here I order a sub, usually the chicken parmesean sub which is my favorite item on their menu. I have also tasted some of their other subs, the calzones, and the glarlic bread/breadstick appetizers. All the items on the menu and the service are very good, and would highly suggest checking this place out. read more
