We went here to Ruzzo's Pizza today it is Excellent service, business, and great management. You don't get pizza like this anymore. They make their own dough, sauces and the meats are the real thing. Well based on the reviews I gave this place a try. Ordered a small sausage pizza and an order of jojo's. To say I was underwhelmed is an understatement. The pizza was bland, the texture of the cheese was just weird and the sausage was little bits that were tasteless (kind of reminded me of plant based Sausage.) the sauce was plain as well. Pizza was way below average for a local pizza joint. And note to Russo's: your 'jojo's' aren't jojo's they're simply seasoned potato wedges. Real jojo's are breaded in fried chicken breading! And for $4.99 a serving I expected real jojo's, not some half ass potato wedges. The only place that seems to have real jojo's's anymore is Gionino's. Won't be returning. read more

This neighborhood pizza place is my favorite ever since they opened! In my opinion their thin crust large pizza is the closest to a New York folding style slice as you can get here! A true family owned place with their own recipes! All delicious and affordable! read more

It's hard to find a good pizza place near Bedford. This was on or with Zeppes but maybe a little better. Pizza was good day of and good the next day too. I was disappointed that the jalapeño poppers and other sides seemed to come straight from a frozen bag and then fried. Will be back to try their ribs. read more

We went to a concert at the Rocksino and wanted to stop somewhere close for dinner beforehand. The plaza looked very interesting to say the least, but don't let that fool you! The inside has a vast collection of collectible antiques on the walls and tables. It is definitely an old-school pizzeria. We got fried zucchini as an app. They were fried to perfection, very crispy, and the zucchini tasted fresh as well. We got a small white pizza and a small half pepperoni half banana peppers one. The crust was thin and crispy, the way I like it. All the toppings/flavors were fresh, the sauce wasn't too rich and overpowering, and of course the cheese was very gooey, like it should be. It was all very reasonably priced too. I would definitely go back, especially if I was going to a concert or something again! read more

So my friends were in town and we had a stack of menu's the former tenant left behind at my place and we can across their menu. The eaty meaty big and bouncy pizza had a hilarious name so we ordered it. It was delivered faster than any pizza has been delivered to me in my life and was absolutely fantastic. This was our first time here. I'm always happy to support a family owned business. The pizza was FANTASTIC! The pasta was very good and the meatball was too. We also enjoyed the cheesy garlic bread that came with the meal and dinner salad. They even helped me to my car bc my order was big and gave me a free 2 liter. I've had the pizza before and it's really good pizza, one of my favorite spots! I ordered the chicken Alfredo dinner for a change of pace; on the menu it is grilled chicken on fettuccine noodles topped with Alfredo sauce.... I got a very thin breaded chicken on a bed of dry spaghetti noodles with a bit of "Alfredo" sauce on the bottom of the delivery box. Not a shinning moment. read more

Loved the pizza, and this charming little hole in the wall--warm and inviting. Looks like it's been there forever with its eclectic decor of film star memorabilia and intimate red and green lighting; yet, they've only been there 5 years!! The pizza is above and beyond your every day pizza! Service was friendly! We also ordered the dinner salad with the homemade house dressing. Yum! My husband and I ate here last night and had a great time. I ordered a pizza which was really tasty and my husband had chicken parm. He loved it! We both had salads which were huge! They Italian dressing was great and I loved the cheese on the salad. Our waitress and all employees seemed very friendly and prompt. We enjoyed the room we sat in it had a good atmosphere. This is definitely a case of where you should not judge a book by its cover. Russo's is in a small plaza and from the outside gives no indication of how wonderful the food is inside. We ordered a large pepperoni pizza and wings and I would say they were both as good as I've ever had anywhere. Pizza was a medium thick crust with quality ingredients in just the right quantity for me (just enough cheese and sauce and an adequate/not overwhelming amount of pepperoni). The wings were deep fried to just the right crispness with a unique flavoring (dill among other seasonings) that gave them a flavorful taste. They weren't very crowded when we stopped (mid afternoon), but I suspect we would have received the same great service, regardless. The interior of the restaurant is dated, but in an interesting and comfortable way that adds to the character of the experience. Overall, this is just a really nice family restaurant with great food and service. read more
