We came here around 6:30 and got a table right away. Husband got the fish tacos. He enjoyed the tacos but not the chips and salsa (too much tomato paste in the salsa and was room temp). This was our second time here, but have had two good experiences. We did come semi off season both times or during the week so we didn't have any wait in the bar area. We especially came back for the mozzarella stick skillet- unlike any other cheese stick we have had, but so good. We also had the chicken sandwich and a few beers- all very tasty! We were in on my birthday 07/08/2026 and this place is at best, mediocre. The service was good and so was the beer selection. But they price gouge like crazy and there are two prices for everything, a cash price and a higher price if you don't have cash. Restaurants need to stop making their customers pay their cc fees. The food was just okay. I got the BBQ platter and they don't know how to do BBQ right. Everything was super-dry and needed a lot of BBQ sauce. The coleslaw was the worst coleslaw I've ever had and had no flavor. It was nothing more than chopped cabbage tossed in mayo. Seriously, the coleslaw needs help. Price-wise this place way overcharges. We had 4 people, ordered 2 appetizers, 1 beer, 2 fountain drinks, and 4 entrees, and our bill with tip was $170! No free refills on fountain drinks! What? The food and beers were both fantastic. Usually at a brewery one or the other is the star, but here they both were. We got the crispy chicken sandwich and bulgogi and they were both delicious and not greasy. The house made chips were some of the best I've had. Kid meals were good sizes and priced well. There was a wait and the hostess was accurate with timing. They bussed tables quickly and took the time to sweep in between so I was impressed with the cleanliness and attentiveness. Brewery #272 Really more of restaurant that brews beer than an actual brewery but that's splitting hairs. Pops and I came in and had dinner. I got a cup of the chili and a Summer Salad. The chili had brisket, ground beef and bison in it and while good was a little on the sweet side. This was odd to me but not in a bad way. The salad was made with oranges, strawberries, feta and walnuts. Quite refreshing. Rusted Spoke has about 20 beers on tap of which only 5 are their own and the rest were guest beers. I got a flight that consisted of 3 of their beers: Insurrection Ale (wheat beer), DEI Hire (Pale Ale) and Space Filler (American IPA) and I got a Tangerine Haze from Big Lake Brewing. All of them pretty good but nothing wowed me. The service was solid, the outdoor patio are was nice and everything was solid. In a touristy type town, that's a good thing. read more

It was a Friday night, and the Tigers were playing so it was pretty packed but they found us a spot to eat by the window. Service was very friendly and our waitress was super sweet and checked on us a good amount of times. The food was actually surprisingly good for the tourist trap that is Mackinac City. The steak in my bf's chalupa was super tender and my burger was hot and tasty. I loved the ambiance and the sinks in the bathroom with the faucet handles were really cool! We decided to try out Rusted Spoke after years of watching our previous dinner stop, Dixie Saloon, degrade into a mess of bad food and even worse service. It 's absolutely clear that whoever is managing Dixie Saloon is completely disconnected from the customer experience. When you go there enough times, you can see it happen. Rusted Spoke, on the other hand, was a refreshing change. The beer menu is awesome, and the beer names are unforgettable . The food was good, and our server Andrada, made us feel like we belonged there from the very first moment. She was fun, engaging, attentive, and just a really good person. Our servers first words were that no one told him he had a table. The menus were gross. Sticky and unclean, there were more flies than people in the place. I ordered ice tea - first, they have no sweeteners of any kind, second, I asked for a refill and to my surprise was charged (total of $7). The food was okay at best, I had fish, husband had a burger (which they charged an extra $1.50 on top of the $18 burger for cheese) definitely not good enough for the cost. We Stopped for a late lunch and were very pleased with the Smoked Pork sandwich and the brisket tacos. Excellent flavor without being too Smokey. The pork was moist, but not oily. Coleslaw was excellent! Tater Tots were a nice option and not too salty. Tacos were huge and the chips were perfect. We had a pint of Oktoberfest (had a hint of Carmel and smoke in the malt) and their amber ale was crisp and refreshing. Both were excellent.
