I've just completed my third move (in 6.5 years, hopefully this is it for a while lol) with them and each time I have counted it 100% worth the cost. The guys arrive on time and handle your stuff with care. They moved my very heavy mirrored dresser - like backbreakingly heavy - down two flights of stairs in my old apartment and up another flight at my house without even a peep of a complaint. When I had someone coming to pickup some furniture I was donating while they were finishing up, they took a 15 minute break (which I do think they needed) and didn't charge me for that time while I was getting the other people situated. This kind of gesture is how you keep customers! A couple of doorframes were nicked in the process of moving in but all of the walls were perfectly fine and all furniture was setup in the spots I wanted it. The guys even asked before I left if I wanted them to do any rearranging and then complimented me for being nice to them. This was before I tipped them. Bravo, A Local Van P.S. When I got the rug back it stunk. It stinks so bad that I'm am embarrassed to have people over. I myself don't even like coming home now because the smell is so bad. Especially after I paid $250+. I figured for that price, the whole rug would have been submerged and cleansed. I also got add on services like pet smell removal. I don't think that happened. Rug still looks very dirty and when I got it back it was full of dust. Calling it a loss and probably going to give it away to goodwill. I feel bad for leaving this review but now I'm out of money and a rug.
