Fish was mushy and soggy, I hate that it was giant chunks of purple cabbage. I'd like to see a nice fine chop on it. Chipotle sauce was weird. The Picadillo taco had ZERO flavor. Pico de Gallo was bland, salsa tasted more like ketchup rather than salsa. Food was cold. Taco shells were dry, hard, flavorless corn tortillas and they all could of used a little more fillings. Weak margs and if you want a second one you have to stand in the long line a second time. Atmosphere was okay. Went to this restaurant yesterday. Overall happy with the food. Not amazing but pretty good. My total was 25 dollars and some change. The girl that took our order walked away and didn't give me the receipt and now I see my charge was 30 dollars and some change. Not sure what happened, but I am not really happy about it. Food is delicious however it always takes FOREVER to get. Don't get me wrong, they're working their butts off but the working arrangement has everyone on top of each other. It's so poorly designed and far too small of an area for the high volume of the restaurant. AND if you want to order for delivery the prices are jacked up at least 20% for each item. We love the tacos here. I tried the New Uptown Stacked and it was yummy with a nice combination of sweet and spicy. We come here regularly for tacos and enjoy them most of the time. Their chips and salsa is addicting with a perfect amount a spice in the salsa. Today however the wait was long with only one other family ahead of us and had been there awhile since their drinks and chips were gone waiting for their order. I notice 4 workers in the kitchen and 2 others and none of the tables around us were cleaned. When the family left we where still waiting for our food and the tables were still not cleaned. It takes a few minutes to bus them. I love the food here but today the floors and our table were sticky and the other tables needed to be cleaned in the 45 minutes we were there it was not done. This is why I gave them 4 stars because of the dinning experience was not so clean and service took a long time. I still plan to do my "Taco Tuesday" here because I love the food! read more

I was so excited to try this place as I've been hearing about it in my community. The customer service is absolutely terrible here and not worth the experience. It is not busy but it took so long we had to wait over 10 minutes just to order. Another employee FINALLY comes up to a register but calls the woman BEHIND us who had just walked up. Three weeks ago I visited this place and thought it was very good. Yesterday I was very disappointed. The green salsa I had 3 weeks ago and loved tasted different. The amount of meat on the tacos was scimpy. The guacamole was wonderful the first time. Yesterday it was rather flavorless,like someone forgot to put in the seasoning. I drive from North Phoenix to eat here, and it is SO WORTH IT!! I loved that there are healthy vegetarian options, my kiddo loves the chips, and THOSE MARGARITAS THOUGH. Plus, the staff was very friendly and accommodating. Managers have checked on me every time I've come in and have made a point to build relationships with their customers. Its a 45 minute drive for me, so if you live closer, I'm jealous and you should try it. This place is awesome!! read more

First time today trying Rusty's. Walked into a long line which was a good sign until I was inside. Only one person talking orders. After a 20 minute wait to have my order taken I was ready to order the Rusty tacos and Beef fajitas taco, well the beef tacos were another 10-15 wait she said. So All Rusty's tacos it was for me. My husband had a shrimp taco too. Though everything was good. I think the Rusty taco would be excellent with fresh pineapple. The staff seemed helpful, keeping the place clean for sure. We were here for the first time today and it did not disappoint! We visited Rusty Taco to support a fundraiser for a family member. The staff did an amazing job ensuring that all orders were 100% correct, they handled the large crowd that this fundraiser brought in with ease. For being standing room only, they managed to get all orders out within 10-15 minutes! Not bad when the place is super packed!! The manager came around checking on each table individually, helped clear tables, and ensured that everything was taken care of so that we could socialize as a family. The tacos were delicious. Everyone that I showed up with, 7 in my small group, ordered a different style of taco and we were all impressed. My other relatives were impressed with their food as well. We enjoyed our evening spending time with family and friends that were all there to support the same cause. The staff ensured that we were all able to enjoy our experience without any issues! Everyone and everything was amazing at Rusty Taco! Shout out to the manager who took time from the chaos to have a meaningful conversations with patrons instead of just rushing people to hurry up and eat. Kindness and respect go a long way! Only giving two stars because the food is ok. Service is terrible. Don't dare ask for a paper container, even if you bought the chips and salsa or queso and salsa. The young blonde cashier will rudely tell you no. Wait until you eat a taco and use one of those to split your chips with the rest of your party. I've eaten here twice and so it's an experiment to find what you like to eat there or at any restaurant in general. So far I haven't really identified anything that I would come back for and be craving except the queso. I find the tacos to always be a bit dry and I'm not sure why that is especially the brisket taco which I think is number five and I even had the fish taco which I think is number seven but I just feel like there needs to be a little more sauce or moisture other than just adding salsa to try to get that. The last thing I will say is I had a horrible customer service experience which just happened this week and the manager was out of line in his handling it. A manager's job is to find solutions that keep customers coming back and resolve any kind of issue or bad experience. And this manager couldn't find a nearly $50 order that we had placed as a family online, I actually drove back twice trying to pick the order up because I was told by him that when you order online it's in a lineup and it's not the same as if you just ordered at the counter. Regardless of any of the issues that caused this order to be lost for a while and not be able to be found it was how the manager handled it screaming at me in the store and blaming me. He had no acknowledgment or recognition that I had spent literally about an hour and 45 minutes coming in once going back home coming in again and each time he wasn't asking me the right questions to find this order I was telling him the name of the person the order was listed under He wasn't asking me any other questions He was just saying he can't find it. After being argued with in the store where he wasn't very sympathetic and I mean customers were all there watching it happenas I stepped outside basically trying to get away from a man yelling at me as a female alone and he followed me outside and continued to argue and be aggressive at me outside without listening to what I was saying he just kept talking over me. Additionally the order was placed by another family member of mine on the website and it was her credit card that was going to be billed so she also called in asking to make sure she got a refund because this order just went on for an hour and 45 min being lost where no one could find it and I'm trying to pick it up coming back and forth twice She also stated that on the phone she had the same experience he just kept talking over her and wasn't listening to her at all and really had no great customer service skills as far as just keeping the customer wanting to come back to the store in the sense of just understanding a mistake must have happened but you might want to compensate the customer or do something to keep them loyal to come back. all she was requesting was some kind of documentation that her nearly $50 order was refunded. Additionally this was Tuesday which is normally taco Tuesday discount at most places like this and everything was full price which I was super surprised about. Mainly what I would say is the lack of organization with their ordering system and how it cannot be found by the staff as well as the way the management just seemed wanting to be argumentative instead of just listening to the customer and saying I didn't really enjoy this experience and maybe doing something to entice them to come back would be the feedback I would leave. read more

Where should I get started? Worker at the front was in the kitchen for a long time and made me wait cause no one was able to take my order. Then when I got my tacos it was very dissatisfying the presentation. They wrapped them like a burrito and the carne asada was cut in long strips like fajita. No flavor, chewy meat and they don't give you limes, radishes, cucumbers, salsas free of charge like backyard taco or any other real Mexican taco place. If you have never tried teal tacos they you will think this is good. This place serve American tacos, is Gilbert so I guess they jacked up the price just because of the area. read more
