Blue Tortilla consistently delivers an outstanding dining experience. From the moment you arrive, you're greeted with warm and attentive customer service that sets the tone for an enjoyable meal. The ambiance is inviting and well-designed -- a perfect blend of comfort and style that enhances the overall experience. The menu offers excellent value, with thoughtfully priced dishes that never compromise on quality. The convenience of their delivery option is an added bonus, allowing guests to enjoy their flavorful cuisine from the comfort of home. The al pastor and birria selections are particular highlights -- expertly prepared, rich in authentic flavor, and beautifully presented. Each dish reflects the restaurant's dedication to freshness and culinary craftsmanship. Blue Tortilla is a true standout for anyone seeking exceptional food, attentive service, and great value in a welcoming setting.

Ok, here we go. I don't know HOW this place has a 4.6 rating! Where do I start? I'll start with my 4.27 birriera taco. Absolutely no flavor or seasoning. I added salt, which helped, but couldn't save it. The consome should have helped, but it was luke worm, had a layer of fat on top, and no flavor or seasoning. The tripita taco, once again, no seasoning. It had three textures. Soft rubber, chewy rubber and crispy rubber. I realize it's a little tricky to cook to get it right. Low and slow. This was not right! After one bite, i was done. Now for the shrimp taco. 3.50 for two tiny shrimp. The only saving grace was they were cooked fairly well. Don't know where they get their taco shells, but they are somehow smaller than a street taco. My wife had the 4 rolled taco plate. The tacos were crispy, but once again lacking flavor or seasoning. The beans were ok, but no salt. The rice was cooked ok, but pretty bland. We agreed that this was the worst we have had. The place was clean and the waitress pleasant and friendly. What a dissapointment!

I was craving tacos and one of my favorite go to spots closed down. I was sad, then I found Taqueria Blue a new and upcoming taco place the doesn't disappoint. It fresh and very flavorful. I tried the carne asada and chicken. My favorite is the chicken. I will be coming back for more soon. I highly recommend you try this place. North East Corner of Gilbert rd / Guadalupe.

I was in Instagram when a post from this restaurant popped up. I decided to grab lunch here, and I'm glad I did It is a strip mall restaurant with a couple of tables outside, and several tables inside. The walls are painted with bright colors, which I love. Grinch themed Christmas decorations were up, and they did a really great job of them. The little Christmas tree was decorated so well! I loved the drinking glasses, which are like tall clay mugs with brightly painted designs. The girl who took our order was very sweet, and came to check on us often. You order at the counter, and they will bring the food our too your table. I ordered the birria tacos. Three tacos are served with consomme, rice, and beans. I'm super picky about rice, and I really liked this rice. The consomme was delicious! My son ordered the pastor quesadilla, which was stuffed with pastor. Sooo good! I feel like this place is a little gem. It's close to my home, and I'm sure we will be back soon

Cute little place! Came on a Tuesday and it was empty. I ordered 2 $2 tacos which was the Tuesday special. We also ordered a birria quesadilla. Food came out super quick! The meat (asada & pollo) was really well seasoned, but a little dry. Good portion though. The birria quesadilla was stuffed with meat and my 14-year-old who LOVES birria said the consume was some of the best he had had. The staff was very friendly and cleaned up our plates as we finished. They have a different special every day of the week. I'm sure we'll be back!

This was really cute and yummy! I love nearby and saw it had good reviews to decided to stop by! The inside was so cute and was decorated so fun for Christmas! The service was great and the food was super yummy. I'll definitely be stopping back again.

Birria ramen and Carne Asada Fries

WOW! Best carne asada fries I've ever had! My fiance also LOVED the birria ramen. The staff is so friendly, the restaurant is clean, the music playing is beautiful, and we will be back many times.

Great food at a great price. Our food was made fresh and the service was great. Red salsa was perfectly hot but not tooo hot. The tacos (birria, asada and al pastor had such great flavor. Authentic Mexican food with an authentic Mexican feel.

Food was amazing so authentic. Reminds me of my grandmothers cooking . The restaurant and staff was very welcoming and friendly atmosphere. Angie Is amazing!! Was so warm and welcoming to us and kept checking in on us and has such a friendly energy. It's definitely added to the top of our date dinner spots

Taco trio with beans and rice! Delicious!

We got super lucky and were able to sit at the bar, open seating, with the TVs. There are regulars that come in and seem to have a good rapport with the staff and they love the food. It was a bit of a rush time and there was only one bartender so service was a bit slow. We did get some chips and salsa as we waited. Good chips, airy and crispy. The salsa was OK. I'm personally just not a fan of roasted salsa. Their beer was crisp and thoroughly cold which was refreshing. I tried the amor de mango and it was tasty. I can't remember my first drink either. It was a Paloma or a margarita, but i didn't enjoy as much, which is why I changed my next drink. The chimi trio was very tasty and full of flavor, one bean one chicken one beef, all good. Then we got the carnitas cheese crisp which was interesting and had good flavor. I would order both again. Service was pretty good. Like I said, the bartender was busy working by himself and when one of his coworkers noticed, we didn't have any more water then she would come by and help so that was appreciated. It s good date spot, or catching up with a friend or just grabbing a bite to eat and drink for yourself. I look forward to coming back and trying entrees. My only hope is that during the hot bright times they lower the shades and get more shades. Not only to reduce the sun coming in but also reduce the glare on the tv that way all spots at the bar are good spots.

A Birthday Dinner Done Right at Origen in Gilbert!…read more I made reservations to celebrate my wife's birthday at Origen in Gilbert, and from the moment we walked through the door, it felt like we had picked the right place. First, the decor and atmosphere are absolutely beautiful. Origen has that perfect balance of upscale elegance and warmth. The wood, lighting, textures, and Mexican-inspired design create an atmosphere that feels sophisticated without feeling stuffy. There is clearly a lot of attention to detail throughout the restaurant, and it makes the entire experience feel special. Add in the live saxophone music and energy of the room, and it feels like you're going somewhere for an experience--not simply going out to eat. Then came the food. Origen does a fantastic job combining modern Mexican flavors with a steakhouse experience. The menu has plenty of choices, but everything feels intentional and elevated. The flavors were bold without being overwhelming, and the presentation made each course feel like part of the experience. From the appetizers to the entrees, we were impressed with the quality and attention to detail. And if you're a cocktail person, don't skip the cocktails. The drink menu is creative, and the cocktails aren't simply colorful drinks designed to look good--they actually have flavor and character. The mezcal-based options especially fit the restaurant's Mexican-inspired concept beautifully. It's the kind of cocktail program that makes you want to try something different instead of ordering your usual drink. But honestly, what made our night was the service. Our waitress, Ash, was phenomenal. She was incredibly friendly, attentive, and--most importantly--knowledgeable about the menu. She didn't just read descriptions to us; she took the time to explain the dishes, answer our questions, and make recommendations based on what we were interested in trying. That made ordering much easier, especially with a menu that has so many interesting choices. But what really stood out was how much care Ash took to make sure my wife had a great birthday experience. She paid attention to the little things. She made my wife feel celebrated without making the evening feel forced or overdone. There was a genuine warmth to the way she interacted with us, and you could tell she understood that this wasn't just another dinner--it was an important occasion for us. That matters. Anyone can bring food to a table. Great hospitality is about making people feel seen, welcomed, and taken care of. Ash absolutely did that for us. My wife had a wonderful birthday, and as her husband, that's really what I wanted most from the evening. Origen gave us the beautiful setting, great food, creative cocktails, and atmosphere. Ash put the personal touch on the experience that made the night memorable. If you're looking for a place in Gilbert for a birthday, anniversary, date night, or just a night when you want to dress up and have a really good dinner, I'd definitely put Origen on the list. And if you're lucky enough to have Ash as your server, you're in good hands. Five stars from us. We'll definitely be back.
