Time to update my original review. New family owner is running this place now and doing an awesome job! They got rid of the arcade games and put in a bar, with KILLER Happy Hour drinks! I love it! Ben was a great bartender tonight! Rooftop patio is better than ever, and service is ALWAYS friendly. Pizza is always great hot out of the oven, and salad bar always looks fresh. The owner Tim is very community oriented and generously donates pizzas to many local schools. Nothing says "local supporting local" more than Ruszoni's Meridian. Found ourselves here two nights in a row while in town for a wedding, didn't find the rooftop until the second visit. Open till 3 they had really great pizza! It was quiet but the service was good, food was great and rooftop ambiance was REALLY great! Gonna be a repeat spot each time we're in town to visit. read more

Five stars for excellent service and excellent pizza! After visiting the nearby sporting goods amusement park, we were looking to fulfill our Friday pizza tradition. Using trusty Yelp, we decided to drive the short 2 miles and give Ruszoni's a try. I meant to get the names of the two who were working but failed to do so. We were greeted by a very friendly guy who was extremely pleasant to interact with. We grabbed a menu, sat down and debated our choices. We went with the Super Combo; exchanging the forbidden pineapple for Jalapeños! We also grabbed two small one trip salads from the salad bar. The wife grabbed a glass of wine, and I got a cold refreshing beer. By the way, daily from 3-5, beer is two for one. The salad bar was amazing with all the choices available. Three types of lettuce and plenty of toppings, from fresh vegetables, to cheeses, and more. Everything was fresh and well stocked. The pizza? Well, as I type this review, I'm enjoying the leftovers. The crust is perfect and the sauce has a great taste. The pizza here is well made and will satisfy your pizza craving completely. The inside here is cozy and not a ton of tables, but they do offer roof top dining as well. Had it been a tad bit cooler, we would have enjoyed that. I came in for a late weekday to-go lunch and ordered a small pizza. All of the staff were very friendly and ready to answer any question I had. I even got a chance to peek up at the rooftop, which is a wonderful spot to relax and watch the traffic & clouds go by. The interior was very clean, but what impressed me most was the extensive fresh salad bar that had obviously been replenished after lunch. I would say that this salad bar, as you can see in my photo, is a is a definite go-to that I will return to again and again. The pizza, however, unfortunately, not so much. I wanted to love the pizza, but I'm sorry to say it was extremely average. It was picture perfect, but very, very light on toppings, which is a disappointment at any pizza shop you may visit. It did not taste bad at all but also had nothing outstanding that I would want to crave again. I would want any business to do well, but it seems that they are slightly overcharging for this pizza, especially given the fact that they skimp on toppings. Still, even with a mediocre pizza, it would be nice to enjoy dining alfresco on their rooftup with a light breeze and the warm sunshine. Hopefully, you will arrive on foot, because parking is almost impossible, given this location is 20 feet off of Main Street, and the few available parking spots are taken up by the other adjacent businesses. It's a fun place, with a welcoming atmosphere and a friendly staff, just don't expect a lot from the pizza. read more

Ordered delivery through Instacart. Going through the ordering process there was no option to add an additional topping but ok. Pizza arrived to our hotel and there were no napkins or red pepper flakes/parmesan. I understand not wanting to be wasteful but it would have been nice to have an option to ask for it. Really tasty pizza. We did 2 lunch specials for $16 today. Two slices of pizza, each, soft drinks for each and the salad bar for each of us. WOW! WHAT A DEAL. The salad bar was fresh with lots of yummy toppings. It had green salad, potato salad, macaroni salad other salads. Even more impressive was that they constantly stocked the bins for the salad bar. We immediately made this place a "must do again" place. Next time we will try out the happy hour. The staff was so pleasant and helpful. The restaurant interior and the bathrooms were immaculate. If only every locally-owned food business could be this good, then the local chain restaurants and snobby, overpriced national chains who are seemly reproducing themselves without restriction in the Treasure Valley would all be bankrupt. After enjoying the meridian Ruszoni's last week, I saw this location on Caldwell Blvd. Thought I'd check it out. The menu and food is basically the same (quite good salad bar, good pizza--not great but better than most). The main differences are the larger size and use of space. This one has a great beer bar with tons of draft beers. And lots of video games. Like a small arcade. My complaint was that the pizza was too slowly brought out to the display case to choose from. I ordered 4 smallish slices and got one right away. Everything else looked cold so I waited for more. Pepperoni with barbecue sauce instead of pizza sauce was a surprise taste but I thought too much sauce. In fact, all their pizza had too much sauce for me. Otherwise good with lots of stringy cheese. The one with sausage, peppers, and mushrooms was the best. Everyone was very nice and helpful. I'll be back again. It seems like a fun place. read more

When one considers a place, especially a restaurant, you have to consider the cost of what you are getting. Obviously, you expect more from a dinner that costs $100 vs a dinner that costs $10. Ruszon's Pizza is a great value. For the cost of a burger, fries, and a drink at a chain fast food joint, you can get two slices of pretty good pizza, all you can eat from an excellent salad bar, and a drink for $8. Want a beer instead - $11. Not bad in my book. And if you just want pizza, how about $1 a slice pizza! When we were there we saw several people come in, get a pizza box and fill it with a couple of different kinds of pizza, all for a dollar a slice. The salad bar is one of the best I've seen. Lots of fresh eats. Plus macaroni, spinach, sprouts, and more. My only surprise was that we were there during the prime lunchtime hour and there was hardly anyone there. read more

We saw this place on google and we decided to stop by. Everything on the menu looked amazing. We ended up getting the Hawaiian pizza and my husband got a beer. The beer tasted pretty good even though I'm not a beer person. I absolutely love the Hawaiian pizza. It was a great ratio between ham and pineapple. The pizza was perfectly cooked and the service was fantastic. I love the ambience of the restaurant, if you like salads, there is an amazing salad bar. Ordered this place on DoorDash because I was craving pizza, which in reality means a good salad and a couple slices. I looked at all the to go salads for all the pizza places and this one looked the best. It came with iceberg lettuce mix - the kind with purple cabbage and shredded carrots, cucumber, green bell pepper, and cherry tomatoes. I asked them to add mushrooms and they did! Tried this pizza place for the first time, was praying it was better than IPC and I think we have a stand off.. ordered a margarita pizza and a 2 topping plus salad. Customer service was fabulous, very nice gentleman even offered to do the heart shaped pizza for our 7 year old girl, so nice. The salad bar is definitely better than IPC and they have an Actual bar for the adults and an arcade for the kids. But.. the pizza..I think I would rather have the crappy buffet pizza at IPC honestly. Although cooked properly the pizza tasted like nothing...dough and flavorless cheese despite the other toppings. I had high hopes for the food quality and it kinda fell off.. Salad bar was the bomb though and my kid was super happy so, not calling them for delivery anytime soon, but when the inevitable begging for pizza and video games comes, I'm just getting the salad bar. read more

Me and my friend went here with pretty nice expectations, overall it was a 3.5 it was really good. I mean I feel like the sauce had a sweet tang to it, but still delicious. I'm not that big a fan of pizza, but it was still very good. I would definitely recommend coming here, especially with kids. There is a small arcade in the corner and a salad bar. Delicious. When my group was searching for an affordable dinner option while visiting Meridian, we decided to give this restaurant a try. Ruszoni's didn't disappoint. The staff were very hospitable, the pricing was reasonable, and flavors were great. We ate at Ruszoni's restaurant in Weiser years ago. Didn't realize they expanded with two more locations in the TValley so we tried the Meridian fare last night. Very good pizza (an even thinner crust would be welcomed) and an excellent salad bar. Clean dining area and rest rooms. Friendly staff. Prices are reasonable especially for lunch and happy hours. We ventured here for the first time a couple weeks ago. When we walked a worker passed right by us without acknowledging our presence. There were no signs posted but after I interrupted the gal on her phone behind the bar, we discovered you order at the counter then seat yourselves. Even the other gal behind the counter didn't greet us or really acknowledge our presence other than when asked a direct question. Usually at a newer establishment you get the "welcome in, have you been here before.....here's how it works" but no such luck. There was one guy in the kitchen that I think doubled as the cook and brought our pizza up to the roof patio. He seemed friendly but never did return with a box and my daughter ultimately had to go down and request one. For being a newer place the patio was already pretty run down. The pizza was overcooked but definitely nothing spectacular. I was excited for the taco pizza as I'm normally a huge fan but it wasn't anything exciting. I stopped by for lunch to try out the new pizza place in Downtown Meridian. My experience was great!! As I entered the restaurant it was super clean. All table tops were prepped, floors were swept, and the place was organized. The first impression was very solid. The employee welcomed me as I entered and was super friendly. I mentioned that I was a first timer and she pointed me towards their lunch menu which was simple and easy to understand. From the menu I went with the salad, slices, and soda. Get a taste of it all. For those of you that like salad bars....look no further. Rusz's does it right!!! Great selection of vegies, greens, and dressings. Too boot, the bar was ultra clean! No crap everywhere...thank you!!! The slices are available from the pre-made pizza bar. I believe they had 6 flavors when I arrived. With the munch combo I got two slices (you can order more slices if your hungry). The pizza was very good. The dough had a great bite to it. A great touch was the way the crust had just the right amount of crisp/crunch when you bit into it. The flavor of both slices were very good. This pizza joint keeps it clean and simple it seems.
