Excellent service. Staff are amazing. Pizza is only okay, but will be back based solely on stellar service.

There are two classic pizza by the slice places in downtown Boise. Pie Hole is one. Great thin crust NY style pizza and not greasy. I always get the Drunk Candy (Hawaiian). Service is quick and friendly. Anyone is welcome and I mean anyone. Half the time I go just for the pizza and cheap beer and sometimes it's just for the vibe itself.

Great fast and affordable eating solution, no thrill, good and fast service. If im need of a "quick carb fix" while im downtown boise....that's the spot;)

I got two slices around 3.25 each. Bacon & Potatoes + Basil & Roasted Pepper. One of the cheaper quicker options in the area! Indoor and outdoor seating available even if it's colder. Service was okay, nothing terrible.

Stopped here for a late night snack and was blown away by the decor! The vibes were soo creative and fun it definitely gives off a place you go after the club to keep the vibes up a little longer. I ordered the potato bacons alive because it's Idaho OF COURSE there's a POTATO on PIZZA !! And it was fantastic!! And that house made ranch was perfection!! They had some crazy flavors going on in there. The only down side was maybe the staff weren't having a good day ... they were very indifferent and a little rude while we were trying to order and ask about the place.

2 stars for the pizzas, 1 star for the location and 1 star for the staff. The location is great, since I was looking for pizza place to get couple slices after the bar run. Love the vibes, fun, carefree & eccentric type of place. The staff are exceptional fantastic. They are fun, friendly, helpful and just make you feel at ease and relax. I ordered the pepperoni & the other is ham and pineapple to go. Just say that it wasn't that great. The dose is just tasteless and more of power-like, but it was crunchy crush and thin slice (NY style). And the rests are just aok. Definitely not a fan but a fan of the staff.

Great spot to stop by for a slice or two after having a drink or two downtown! Lots of options and big cups of ranch (guilty pleasure). Check it out, great prices and great for a quick bite.

It was a really neat little spot with little inside room but a whole patio section outside. It was a great place to hang out with buddies and just chill. The staff were really friendly and served us quickly. They also had really interesting pizzas and just different things I had seen before. It tasted pretty good.

I was looking for a slice of potato pizza and their potato-bacon hit the spot. It was cheap ($3.28) and flavorful. There could have been more bacon or more substantial pieces of bacon, but that's fine. Conveniently located on Eighth Street, which is a walk-friendly, closed-to-traffic, outdoor area surrounded by a bunch of restaurants. You wait in line in the dark-ish restaurant, get to the front, view the menu/available pizza, order, take a few steps to the cashier and pay, then wait for your order to be called. There is a small portion of seating inside and it's super cramped and near the line. I'm guessing a good chunk of their customers are high school/college students.

A hole in the wall style location. I can't help but feel the hipster vibe oozing from the walls. The pizza is sold by the slice as well as whole pies. I went back to my days of youth in NYC and ordered a slice and a coke. The pizza was delicious. It is very much NY pizza shop style slices. The crust was crispy and authentic. The sauce might be a tiny bit sweet but still delicious. The only difference between this slice and one I would expect at my local pizza shop on NYC is the lack of olive oil that would glaze the top of my slice almost like sweat as it glistens. I loved that in NYC years ago. Maybe it's not a big deal to you? Seating is limited inside but plenty of spots outside when the weather permits. A selection of beers are available and cans of PBR line the walls in places. It is not a place for a fine dinner but if you want a slice or two and can sit outside it is worth a stop.

Pie Hole is a staple in the downtown area! So many different types of creative topping combinations, being served quick & hot. The staff if filled with hard workers who work as a team. Best pizza in Boise!

Even though the restaurant was absolutely packed when I arrived, they were able to get my order ready much earlier than originally scheduled. I really appreciated them going out of their way to help me. The food was fantastic! The Honey Badger pizza was delicious, the Everynight salad was even better. If I'm ever back in the area, I'll absolutely be coming here again!

Yet I wanted to experience their take on Detroit pizza one last time before they lock the doors for good. Yesterday, I called to order a Detroiter pizza, my go-to pie since they opened, for takeout. The woman who answered the phone asked to put me on hold for a "short wait." Ten minutes later I was still on hold and hung up. Today, I decided to try again. I called at around the same time, 4:30 p.m., which normally has not been a busy time there before the dinner rush starts. This time, I was told to call back. What? So I went online and ordered there for pickup. I got an email back immediately, saying my order had been submitted but that it wasn't confirmed until I got a second email with my pickup time. More than an hour later, I'm still waiting for that second email. What a horrible operation they've become. Their pizza was excellent in the beginning and I didn't mind driving across town to a convenient location near the airport to pick up one of their pizzas. But as their quality slipped, I found myself going there less and less. Today's failure will be the last time I try before they close forever. All I have is the memories from better days.

Be sure to read the signs outside otherwise they won't seat you if you go through the takeout door. I saw it happen to a party of 4 who stood awkwardly in the takeout corner for about 20 minutes during peak rush. Other than that, there's plenty of table and bar seating available. We waited less than 5-10 minutes for a table of 2. The service was excellent! We were originally seated by the door, so we were getting blasted by the summer heat every time it opened. Once a table opened up away from it, our server offered to move us (and we did lol). We ordered two small pizzas, the Comet and the Idahoan. Both were delicious! We ended ordering their current special to-go, which was a BLT-style pizza. One small pizza is enough for two people but if you want to bring home leftovers, I recommend ordering two smalls! Btw, a large pizza is enough to feed four people from what we saw. Would definitely come back! Highly recommend if you're in the area or just love pizza.

Another 10 before they came back with drinks and took our order. The appetizer was a puffed up bread which was fun to eat. They brought olive oil and what tasted like vinegar to eat it with. We ate that and it was another 20 minutes before they came to the table and told us they prioritized the take out orders over ours, "But your pizzas are now in the oven." The table behind us who also ordered an appetizer and 2 pizzas, were served 10 minutes before we were served. Always willing to overlook some hiccups in service if the food is good... unfortunately the food was terrible. We ordered a Don Ho and the sauce was so bland it was gross. The center of the pizza was so soft we thought, at first, it was under cooked. After looking at the bottom of the pie we could see it was cooked but we also noticed that the sauce was so watery it pooled in the center and made everything soft and gross. The margarita pizza was so overcooked the cheese was melted into the pizza and the basil leaves were wilted and yet crispy at the same time. Below is a picture of what it SHOULD have looked like, and a picture of what we got. It was so bad we actually sent it back and they said, "Well that's how we always make it." We had high hopes but after this all around lacking experience, we won't be back.

They do take reservations and I strongly recommend making them, especially for a large party, of which we saw several last night, a Saturday. They do have a cool mural on the south side wall depicting various gangsters: Dillinger, Lanskey, Nelson, Capone, and Seigel. As you enter, on the left there is a small bar with seating near the check in desk. There is also a separate waiting room to the right of the entrance. There are a lot of tables packed fairly close together in the dining room. Our server was Arturo. He was friendly, attentive, and very knowledgable about the food, giving recommendations as to his favorite dishes and explaining in detail how the special of the night was prepared. Really, he was exceptional, especially taking care of a large group. To start, there is what I think was a rosemary bread, along with balsamic vinegar and oil to dip, which was very good. The mushrooms and the fried calimari appetizers weree great. And, all of the entrees were deemed "10/10" when we did our informal polling at the end of our visit. My wife had the scampi and I had the margherita pizza. Other entrees included lasagna, angel hair pasta with meatballs, chicken scallopini, and the "Gabriel". All of the food was delicious. Our group definitely plans to come back and enjoy another dining experience at Luciano's, in our opinion, the best Italian restaurnt in The Valley.
