Let's start off with a good things. The pizza there is very solid good middle of the line crust not too thick not too thin or doughy. Loaded with lots of fresh veggies and meat toppings. Definitely would recommend coming back for the pizza. The service was friendly and fast. The place was well kept clean, felt more like a strip mall than a pizza place. The biggest drawback is we were there at 6:30 PM on a Friday night and there was not anyone old enough to serve any of the eight beers they have on tap. Seems like pizza and beer should go together right? When you advertise beer as part of your offerings, and there is no one to serve it on a Friday night that seems like a loss, not only a profits, but to the customers experience and expectation. read more

My husband and I came to Mountain Mike's for dinner tonight to celebrate our friend's birthday. We all had planned to eat at another joint but the wait was too long. Pizza sounded good so we made our way over. We came around 7 and it was pretty chill. No one in the dining area and a couple guys waiting for their take out pizza. When we first walked into the shop, we were overtaken by a very abrasive, chemical smell. It honestly smelled like paint thinner. It was really intense and you wouldn't think you were in a pizza joint. The smell took over the whole restaurant. We decided to stay put so we all looked over the menu to figure out what we all wanted to eat. I honestly wanted to leave cause the thought of inhaling those fumes during dinner didn't sound appealing. We started our order off with some wings. We wanted an order of mozzarella sticks, not available. We wanted loaded potatoe wedges, not available. Rather disappointing since it's listed on the menu board and a menu on the counter. After making some changes since those options weren't available, my husband got a small salami and extra cheese pizza. Our friend got a small Pikes Peak. We were kinda shocked at the price when the girl who took our order said our total was close to 80 bucks. 2 small pizzas, 16 wings and 2 drinks was almost 80 bucks!?! And then with tip it was almost 100. The tip portion confuses me since they really don't serve us. They dropped off the pizza and don't tend to us what so ever. I understand a small tip but they shouldn't be expecting 20% if you're not doing anything to earn it. Our food was starting to slowly come out. The Pikes Peak pizza and my husband's custom pizza came out first. Then a small cheese pizza was also delivered to our table. Non of us ordered a small cheese pizza so now I know why our total was damn near 80 dollars. My wings got dropped off last. My husband who is so kind decided to keep the cheese pizza and did not make a big deal about it. I personally would have sent it back and would have asked for a refund since we never been ordered it in the first place. All the pizzas were good. The Pikes Peak pizza was loaded with all the goodies. My husband's pizza was covered in cheese and had a great amount of salami on it. The cheese pizza was also covered in cheese and had a great cheese pull. My wings were nice and spicy! The blue cheese was a perfect pairing to the wing. It was all so good. The only goal I had was to have my friend's dinner be good for good birthday. He enjoyed his dinner. But I'm not impressed with the extra pizza, the associate that wasn't paying attention to our order and overcharged us, the amount we spent and the chemical that was used while we were eating. The cleaner fluid that smelled like paint thinner was used to clean the dining area. I understand if you choose to clean at the end of the night with this cleaner but it's absolutely ridiculous to use it while people are dining. The food tonight was great but everything else was ridiculous. Future advice to those who plan on eating here, make sure you go over your order and prices before you pay. I have been wanting to try this place for a little while and finally made it in. You will spend a little more than any popular chain pizza places (like dominoes or pizza hut) but they make it worth it with all the toppings! They load it up. Pizza was sauced well, fresh ingredients, the crust was just the right doneness, seasoned chicken pieces, and they had cupped curly pepperonis! I did a 14" half/half. Half Pikes Peak (their all meat pizza with italian sausage, pepperoni, beef, salami, linguica and ham) and half Robbers Roost (chicken, tomatoes, olives, mushrooms green onions) with white sauce. Their service was great and the girl working the counter was a total sweetheart. Their salad bar left much to be desired... however, I did taste both the ranch and blue cheese. When I was a kid in the 80s, we went to Mountain Mike's in Marina, California. It was quite the treat since Marina was a haul drive from Carmel. Those pizzas were huge even gigantic. I grew up and moved away but to my surprise, a Mountain Mike's moved into a storefront near WingStop in the Lowe's plaza. FULL DISCLOSURE: I did not eat the pizza that this review is based upon but my mom did. I was with her the entire time so I relaying her experience through this review. My mom wanted a small pizza and after some debate, she decided to order the Chicken Club. Here's what is included with the Chicken Club Better than a BLT. Loaded with grilled chicken, crisp bacon, diced tomatoes, and green onions in our creamy garlic sauce. The inside of Mountain Mike's looks small but there's some space along the right side and extends back. There is also a salad bar with the usual suspect topping and dressings as well as croutons. The Chicken Club pizza was ready very quickly and arrived in its box with a sticker to keep the box sealed but my mom couldn't wait, she had to peak. Who could blame her? Not only did she take a peek, but she also took a scoop and a bite. I can't repeat what she said to me but it involved an expletive, followed by the word, 'good' I was afraid of her making a scene in the pizzeria. The look in the eyes was akin to zombies smelling humans from the street corner. I had to get her home so she could devour the rest of her pizza. She peeked a couple more times while we drove the five minutes to her house. I parked and went inside with her. I put the pizza on the table and expected her to get a plate but no, she eat from the box. She ate half of the Chicken Club that night and finished the rest of it the next day for lunch. She definitely had a five-star experience. Was looking for a quick lunch spot. Saw that mountain Mike's has a lunchtime buffet between 11 and 2 PM. I've been wanting to come and try their pizza. First impressions, the place is clean and bright. The staff was super friendly. The cost of the lunch buffet was a little over 10 bucks with tax... this is for pizza, salad, and a drink. Not a huge selection of pizza (like and 'Idaho' competitor). Many of the salad bar items appeared to have been not recently cut. Probably prepped yesterday. Overall, I think it's a pretty good deal. The spicey sauce really made the pizza for me. It was flavorful and not too spicey for my mother, who can't handle anything spicey. If you come in only for yourself, you can grab a Philly cheesesteak and try the mango-yogurt drink which I enjoyed. The mango drink isn't an option for the combo though, which is a shame. Just tack on 50 cents or a dollar and that would be awesome. Plus, I would have liked an option to upgrade the drink to a larger cup. read more

I will just start out by saying they do not have ranch!! The food came out randomly. Got the wings last. The knots were dry. Asked for crispy fries and they came out cold and undercooked. Over 45 years ago their first location was built and now years later they have over 300 locations, and their big dream came true. Mountain mikes pizza was an extremely pleasant experience and delicious food. The moment I grabbed something from the buffet like a slice of pizza a new pizza was brought out so there was always enough to go around. The workers especially were extremely friendly and respectful helping me when I had questions. The pizza was absolutely amazing with crispy and fresh tasting pepperoni and the perfect amount of cheese, not too much but not too little. The slices were a perfect size and the crust did not flop and or fall apart. The overall quality of the pizza was great. I would say that it was lacking energy. The workers were nice but I feel they could have had better attitudes and overall facial expressions. They just seemed sad and that kinda brought the overall experience down. The food was good but the salad bar lacked presentation, it was extremely cluttered and overwhelming. Low cost. High quality. This is what Mountain Mikes pizza embodies. Well it's not a crazy high end michelin star restaurant this place shows that it doesn't need to be expensive to be good quality. Decent pizza with a luxe price. Sure there are mounds of toppings, and enough cheese to make things stick, but the price gouging with this pizza is unreal. By the time you order a pizza and small breadstick for your family, you're at over 40$. No way is this someplace I could afford to eat at on pizza Fridays. Last time I went here the wait for my pizza was over an hour- an hour! Bruh seriously?!? The youngsters working here don't seem to really give a rats either. They just do their thing, chatting up their friends or doing menial tasks to abound answering customer questions. Good pizza! BUT... not worth waiting for. We ordered two 10" pizzas at 2:58 PM. We waited ... and waited ... for 25 minutes for our pizza. There were only a couple of other customers in the restaurant. There were four workers in the back, but the one who took our order was the only one that wasn't lounging around. One of the two girls was fixing the hair of the other who was drinking a soda. Another man was in the back, but I wasn't sure what he was doing. When we approached the counter to ask about our pizzas, the girl apologized and said that she was the only one working "on the line" and that they had received several online pick up orders. She told us that our pizza would be ready in 2 minutes. 6 minutes later, she came out with one of the two pizzas, stated that she was sorry for the delay, and asked how she could compensate us for the delay. We just told her that there would be a negative review and left it at that. She went back and delivered the second pizza a couple of minutes later. When she came back the second time she said, "I could give you a full refund." We weren't going to demand a full refund for good food, but felt they should have been more proactive about advising us of the delay and of providing some kind of compensation that we didn't have to request. We felt bad for the girl, but two 10" pizzas for sit-down customers should not take 35 minutes after being ordered. read more

I was excited to have Mt Mike's Pizza again! It was so delicious. They have a salad bar, soda fountain, beer taps, pizzas, breadsticks & churros. The salad bar was very minimal and a lot of the spots were empty - hopefully they'll fix that soon. The employees were so helpful and had a great attitude. When I lived in Scotts Valley we had a Mountain Mikes nearby and it was my go to for pizza once I learned I have celiac disease and had to do gluten free crust. The staff always took good preparation to make sure the risk of cross-contamination was minimal. It was always a delight going to Mountain Mikes back home, so when we moved to Meridian I didn't think they had chains this far out in the Midwest. After a few trial and error attempts at finding a place with gluten free crust I was pleasantly surprised to once more see a Mountain Miles not far from where I live. How I managed to go five years and not notice this I'll never know. I have been to this location twice. Both times when I order I've told the staff I have celiac disease and both times they e gone the extra mile to alert the staff to my allergy. Neither of my visits ended with any symptoms from cross contamination. The staff is always great. I appreciate them going the extra mile to make sure my food prep is safe. I like this place and hope to have many more pizza nights with my fiancé. The prices are expected. The wait time never long. And the staff look like they are treated well. My son took me to Mountain Mikes lunch buffet as I have never been here before. We cane in before 1 pm as the buffet ends at 2 pm. We ordered the pizza, salad and drink at $10 per person. We had to ask the staff to refill the salad bar as there was no lettuce and other item bins were empty. They only had one pizza on the buffet that was half gone, asked if more was coming out and was told that it would be about 10 minutes. There were 3 tables that had customers including us. They brought out a pepperoni pizza and that was gone in a couple of minutes. We asked if they took requests and they said they do not. So another pepperoni was brought out and then a cheese pizza. The pizza was good but the selections were not. The buffet could hold at least 4 pizzas but I never saw that many out at one time. Overall impression for my first and last time is very lackluster of a buffet. I will be going back to the Idaho Pizza Company and will not be coming back here. read more

Joined their club. Downloaded the app. Got coupons for discounts. Ordered on the app and got the pizza for pick up when they said it would be ready. Covered with pepperoni. Like the sauce. Like the dough. They are having start up problems, so those reviews do not need to get so nasty. The reviewers who gave them low scores, clearly have never worked in food service. Things go wrong and Idahoans have the patience to adjust. I've been waiting for them to open in Meridian! Pizza varies widely from place to place, from the dough, the sauce, the quality of the toppings, how much crust they leave, etc. My review is based on my personal opinion on how I like my pizza. This place did it for me! First, I have to mention how clean the place is. Yes, it's new, but booths were cleared, tables wiped, a guy sweeping up crumbs, someone stocking items. I ordered to go, so I can't speak to a dine in experience, but even if you dine in, you order at the counter and they'll give you a number and you pick where you want to sit. My medium pepperoni pizza was out in 15 minutes, piping hot, and smelled so delicious I wanted to eat a piece in the car ride home, but I didn't want to spoil my photo op. Once home, I scarfed my first piece and came to the conclusion, oh, this is good! I like that they take the pizza almost to the edge so there's not an abundance of crust, but still a crust. I love the taste of the pizza sauce, it reminds me of Shakeys. I think it has a sweet tang to it. The cheese and pepperoni were quality. The consistency of the dough was perfect for what I like, not too thin and not too thick and held up well. There was no greasiness to it. I will definitely be back there to try some other pizzas and sides, maybe have some beer or wine. I don't eat a lot of pizza, but when I do I want to be satisfied. I'm a Mountain Mikes fan so I went in with high expectations when this location first opened. Bad idea because the pizza was doughy and my mozzarella sticks were like they got warmed up a little but never cooked. Really gross. Well fast forward at least a year (or however long it's been). I stopped in again hoping to get a good MM pepperoni pizza. Nope! I think they must have a crappy oven? For whatever reason, the top was not done again. Bottom was done but MM has thick crust and it needs to be fully cooked. Seriously, I could still see places where the cheese hadn't fully melted together. The pepperoni was plentiful and mostly uncooked except for the pieces near the crust. I had a few bites around the edge and then threw it away. For context, the second time I went was during a slow time and I had them "cook it extra" for me. Basically, go elsewhere. I've been hearing a lot of hype about this place so decided to try it. I know it's only been open a few weeks, so I'm fully aware that there are still kinks needing to be worked out. I ordered a pepperoni pizza and the cheesy garlic bread. I failed to take a picture of the pizza, but it was quite good. Very flavorful and the small pepperoni were very tasty. The cheesy garlic bread left a lot to be desired. It looks nothing like how it's pictured on the menu. Both the cheese and garlic flavors were lacking. It was also very unappealing to open the box and find a small pile of burned bits floating around the bottom of the box. They also forgot to include the dipping sauce for them, so the bread was very dry. I'd get the pizza again, at least until the new Flying Pie opens closer to my house, but would not recommend the cheesy garlic bread unless the restaurant greatly improves the recipe and presentation. read more

Have you ever walked into a pizza place or really any restaurant with a buffet and only wanted to buy one buffet order but in order to do that you have to be secretive and share without anyone knowing, well I didn't realize that walking into this restaurant. Right as Lilya (the friend I went with) was ordering, I asked, "Do you want to share an order?" luckily the lady serving us was sweet enough to let us share, instead of buying multiple orders, almost anywhere else they would have said no. That's a green flag if you ask me! Mountain Mikes is a yummy pizzeria down in a compact part of Boise Idaho. The restaurant was in a smaller area that reminded me a lot of a village, it was a connected building, and alongside that business, there were many other companies like Wingstop, Costa Vida, and Crumble. This means that this small business has a lot of competition already. I have gone to this restaurant twice recently and both times I was very impressed. Mountain Mikes was very affordable. All-you-can-eat pizza, salad, soda, and of course, the game room to add to it. The round order was only 13 dollars, a great price for great food! This restaurant showed excellence in its cleanliness. Every booth and table was nicely wiped down, alongside that the bathrooms were clean and everything was displayed clearly. Moving on, let's talk about the food. The pizza was very outstanding, with multiple options to choose from. There was pepperoni, olive and cheese, regular cheese, and hawaiian pizza. I only had the pepperoni but it was excellent, the pizza was evenly cooked, with not too much cheese, and the pepperoni added a smooth crisp texture that added a ton of flavor. The salad included was even better, with a variety of veggies and herbs to choose from. The lettuce and cabbage with a very fresh and bitter-sweet flavor with a crunch texture. Their tomatoes olives and jalapenos were very ripe, you could see the hard work put into each individual piece of this restaurant. Also not to mention the free refills! I was very impressed with the food and overall customer service. They make the pizzas fresh and when new customers come in they offer a fresh pizza instead of one that has already been taken from. This restaurant shows hard work and effort, despite being so small. My visits to this restaurant have been very pleasant and I could not be more happy with the experiences I've had. read more
