A wonderful meal with a friendly and accommodating staff. One of our favorite steakhouses.

Box to go for this fantastic hanger steak!

I have lived in the neighborhood for four years and never really had a reason to stop in for an expensive steak until recently. Thank God I finally did! PHEW this food was awesome. My sister and I both had the hanger steak (medium and medium rare respectively). We also ate mashed potatoes, broccoli and asparagus sides. The steaks were 10/10. The vegetables and potatoes were 10/10. No question. But we were both very torn over our choices of six sauces and the waiter brought us two each instead of one. And the sauce is where the BIG PROBLEM started! WHY ON EARTH would you serve absolutely delicious fantastic 10/10 house made sauces (like horseradish, port wine, mushroom, chimichurri) when you're serving up absolutely delicious 10/10 food??? I couldn't bring myself to use the sauce and hide the flavor of all the food we ordered. Potatoes too creamy and tasty to douse in even the best sauces (which these were). Even the broccoli and asparagus were too good to be hidden under sauce. Obviously the steak was perfect on its own. So if you want to have a major problem on your hands of choosing which delicious food to douse with which delicious sauce then go to Guerra

Came here for my wife's birthday the other day, and it was fantastic. The steaks (hangar), el fuego shrimp, roasted mushrooms, creamed spinach, and mashed potatoes were all delicious. And they made a special salad for my daughter who couldn't find exactly what she wanted on the menu. They brought out a special dark chocolate mousse and candle for my wife's birthday, and the family shared our own dark chocolate mousse and mango sorbet. Both were also great! (Only mistake was we ordered milk instead of dark chocolate, but we were willing to overlook it) Service was also great. Will definitely return.

This was my first time here and I'm impressed by the food and service we received. The waitress (i think her name was Camilla) was very sweet, patient, and accommodating to the meat temperature me and my family requested. Some of us like our steak well done (I know some of you claim it's a culinary sin but I don't want me steak mooing). Me and my mom ordered well done ribeyes and it was still juicy. I've only trusted one restaurant too give me good well done steak. I'm happy to add another one to the list. My brother ordered the Tomahawk for 2 FOR HIMSELF, LOL. And ordered lobster Mac and Cheese, fries, and mashed potatoes to go with it. And an extra order of shrimp to go with it. He really enjoyed it as this was his first time trying Tomahawk. My Dad ordered the Cowboy Steak and was impressed with the taste and tenderness. Each steak came with a side of mashed potatoes and even the side was delicious and well seasoned. The waitress made our dining experience great. She always checked in on us, helped us with recommendations on steaks based on our requested temperatures, and gave us a complimentary dessert for our birthday celebration. Though the price is expensive, the experience, staff, and food made the trip worth it.

11/10. O. M. G. Mouth watering steak with juicy super flavorful toppings to choose from. When the weather is nice, the outside seating area is decorated so nicely and even though you're in a strip mall it doesn't feel like it! The cocktails were super tasty as well! Our server was knowledgeable and lead us through the whole menu. I had a FABULOUS experience here and I'm telling my friends all about it!

Amazing steakhouse in Rosslyn. Although a little inconspicuous on the outside, the inside is quite nice. The staff is extremely nice and attentive. They gave great recommendations (the shrimp appetizer is great). We ordered a rare steam and a lobster mac and cheese. Both were delicious. The steam came out a little medium rare on the ends and the waiter doubled check with us after seeing it himself to see if we were ok with it. We didn't mind and I was impressed with the proactiveness of the waiters. They're extremely nice and want to take care of you. They're grill on charcoal so it is very impressive that they perfectly cook everything with such precision. Definitely a hidden gem in Rosslyn, which has so many mid tier corporate food.

Ordered the Malbec. Caesar no croutons, ribeye medium rare with blue cheese crumbles, and side of Mac and cheese. We sat outside and the ambiance was really nice- mostly due to the restaurant next door! They had lots of colorful lights and it was dark outside. Wine was good. Loved my Caesar salad. Mac and cheese was good- not too dry or too wet; good flavor. Steak was ok. My medium rare was a few minutes over and my friend's medium rare steak was a few minutes under cooked.

Tried Guerra for dinner and had a good experience. Service was great and ambience was nice. The restaurant is very small so thankfully it wasn't packed but you can easily take part in conversations nearby being seated that close. The steak was good but the chimmichurri wasn't as flavourful as I'm used to and the mashed potatoes needed Something more... butter? Salt?

This restaurant is amazing! The food was excellent. The service was superb. I love the atmosphere. My first time at the restaurant and can't wait until the next time. I gave them 5 stars! Please try the Parrillada with the chimchurri sauce. Just amazing!

We went to Guerra for a celebration. I easily booked the reservation about a month in advance. The ambiance is intimate and warm and was the perfect spot for a crisp fall evening. All the sides come family style, so you can get one or two to share with the table! The food was really good - I ordered the blackened salmon and had sides of the Mac n cheese, whipped potatoes, Mac n cheese, and Brussels sprouts. All of it was excellent! We also ordered two bottles of Cabernet. It was really delicious wine. My only complaint was they only had bottles that were around $60 - no house wine. For celebrations when you want to order several for the table that can be a little annoying. Overall, great experience.

Service was a bit slow, but when they did come to our table, they were nice and attentive. A lovely meal with good company. It was pretty loud in there- they were very busy with happy people enjoying their meal. My friend's birthday was spent here, and they added a cute HAPPY BIRTHDAY on her menu. The bread for the table was nice. My steak was cooked nicely, and the horseradish sauce was not overly hot, but had good flavor. My friend liked the hollandaise, another liked her steak salad, the Mac and cheese was good and also liked the iceberg wedge. Friendly staff. I'd come back here!

Came here for a 35th wedding anniversary and was not disappointed at all! They ordered the tableside Tomahawk steak and my date and I ordered the cowboy and and entrecôte steaks. They were all very well seasoned and cooked perfectly. The Tomahawk is cooked tableside and was a nice treat! For drinks, we had a bottle of Moscato, a smokey old fashion (best OF I've ever had), and a fancy margarita. Service was spectacular and fast! Ambiance was adorable. We sat outside and the decor is so picture perfect! Great place to have a nice dinner! Parking is limited inside of the lot but there is street parking a well as garages near by. It is a small location in a busy shopping center. I would definitely return and so glad that they made their anniversary memorable!

Barcelona was okay but has room for improvement…read more I checked out the menu and other Yelp reviews before visiting. Many of the reviews mentioned the loud music, tightly packed tables, and lukewarm food, which is exactly what I experienced. I don't want to feel like I'm in a club, watch servers barely squeak by my table, or eat room temp food. We visited on Sunday night for a 6 PM reservation. The place was busy but not full, and got a little busier by the time we left around 7:15 PM. There was a small line at the host stand, but people were quickly seated. The host initially took us to a two-top next to a four-top that had a baby in a high chair and some kids books/toys nudging into our table space. We politely asked for a different table, which the host accommodated, but we shouldn't have to ask; they should give guests more space proactively. Our waiter was not particularly friendly or helpful. He asked us about allergies, but did not offer to explain the menu, make recommendations, or anything else. I overheard the waiter at the table next to us telling his table all about the menu and warning them to order any large dishes early, because they can take up to 45 minutes to prepare. We got no such advice; thankfully, we didn't plan to get any large dishes. I do appreciate that the food pacing was pretty good, all the dishes came out quickly and were cleared quickly, and our waiter offered us another piece of bread later (for a dish that only came with one piece and should have come with two...). We got a pitcher of red sangria ($38) which was 4 glasses worth. The sangria tasted fine but was very generic; nothing special, not much fruit, lots of ice. The server who poured it for us did it in a very noisy, distracting way -- shaking it a lot to get the ice to settle, struggling to balance the amount of ice in each glass, spilling some ice on the floor. It was unpleasant and almost comical. We tried eight different tapas dishes: Eggplant Caponata ($7.5), Rainbow Carrots ($8.5), Whipped Sheep's Cheese ($8.5), Cauliflower ($9.5), Grilled Chicken Thigh ($10.5), Bacon-Wrapped Dates ($8.5), Jamon and Manchego Croquetas ($7.5, four pieces), and Lamb Merguez ($10.5). Everything was pretty good. The best dishes were the Sheep's Cheese and Chicken Thigh. The cheese was a nice portion and worked well with the honey. It only came with one piece of bread and should have come with two. Also, although the bread had grill marks on it, it was not warm at all, barely room temperature. The chicken was excellent all around -- tender, salty, spicy, with a very nice green sauce. All the other dishes were ok but had room to improve. The croquetas -- which I love in any form -- had a nice, crunchy exterior and a soft interior that reminded me of mashed potatoes. I wouldn't say they tasted particularly like jamon and manchego, though. The bacon-wrapped dates -- also a favorite dish -- were fine if a bit sweet; the blue cheese on the plate cut this a bit, but I wanted more flavor from the bacon, which was lost against the sweetness of the date. The carrots looked pretty but had different levels of doneness -- some softer or harder than others -- and I wanted more flavor from the sauce. The lamb merguez came with fava hummus and both tasted bland. The eggplant did not have a uniform heat level -- some pieces hot, some room temp -- and I disliked the sauce, which reminded me of sweet BBQ sauce in a negative way. The cauliflower was underwhelming; the sauce needed to be punchier and the dish needed another ingredient, like a few crunchy nuts. I would like to see the restaurant turn down the music, give diners more space, and tweak many of the dishes. It was an okay meal but I wouldn't return.

We weren't talking loud, we weren't drinking before and being obnoxious, we just wanted to ask about what some of the drinks were like on a very cool menu of cocktails we haven't tried anywhere else. Upon returning with our drinks, he accidentally spilled a not insignificant amount on my friend sitting across from me, and while we reacted and started handing him extra napkins, he just glanced at him, finished giving out the drinks, and walked away. No "oops", "my bad", "oh let me get you some paper towels", nothing. So at this point, we're all staring at each other like "Did we do something? Do we smell?" Whatever, friend's birthday, we've been talking about this cabin weekend for several years and it's finally happening, let's just vibe. Now another 20 minutes went by and we were getting antsy because we wanted to order our food but it looked like there wasn't a lot of staff, and we didn't want to upset anyone by hurrying them. Another man came over who we thought was going to take our orders. Nope. He starts picking up our menus so I say, "Oh, hey we haven't ordered yet." To which he replies, "OK, but I need the menus." Alright cool, yeah, that makes sense if he needed them for other tables and can leave us with a few to share. Nope. He just took them and placed them back at the host stand. Awkward stares across the table again. Whatever, we had enough, I guess. Tick tock, tick tock. A third guy came over, and when he smiled and asked, "Hi are you all ready to order?" I was like "Oh finally a human being!" Food took another 20-ish minutes while we nursed our drinks and really had no interest in ordering another round (not that anyone asked us). We ate. We chatted. We had an okay time. We were super ready to get out of there. Oh right, the mozz sticks. Le Mont'zarella sticks. They had one order left of four sticks for $18. We were one of the first diners. You can imagine after all the above, that's just a major facepalm emoji. Assessment/Plan: Hail Mary full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou amongst women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God pray for Le Mont Royal to improve their service, now and at the hour of ASAP, because the place has so much potential, and maybe it was just an off night, or the staff just finished arguing with each other in the back so they took it out on us, but dearly beloved Lord it was like we offended nine generations of their ancestry from the moment we walked in. With "a 22% service charge has been added for your convenience," I thought we were getting Punk'd. The always-changing French-Canadian menu is a cool and unique concept, but it's a lot of bark with very little bite. It didn't make the disappointing service worth it. I was already impressed by the weekend happy hour deals. I started with the Aromatic whites wine flight (great pours for $12!!). All 3 wines were delicious and the bartender, Fabio was the best and very engaging throughout my time at the bar. I had the beef tartare and it was the best I've ever had! I then ordered a glass of the Domain du Somail Red Blend paired with the steak frites, which was the best pairing. I was stuffed but decided to get the crème brulee, which you could never go wrong with. It was the best CB I've had in a while. I will definitely be back for restaurant week or just an impromptu happy hour.

We came here with a few friends for an early dinner, making reservations in advance. Once seated, we decided to order some starters to share: +the Warm Pistachio Crusted Goat Cheese Ball - with honey and red wine caramelized onions +Chicken Liver Mousse - with white wine gelee, apricot, pickled veggies, and an onion marmalade +Baked Camembert de Normandie - with confit garlic, thyme, and honey +and, an Onion Soup for the hubs - prepared with beef broth, croutons, and Gruyere For our entrees, I went for the Steak-Frites, which came with a hanger steak and shallot sauce; you can sub the usual fries with truffle fries, which I recommend! My counterparts enjoyed their Long Island Duck Breakfast (with seared asparagus, cumin carrot puree, cippolini onions, and port sauce), the Maryland Rockfish (with artichoke barigoule, carrots, brasied fennel, and noilly prat sauce), and the Local Roasted Chicken (with English peas, carrots, baby potatoes, and truffle jus). If you want to sop up your sauce with bread, don't forget to order the breadbasket! Staff were friendly and checked-in on our party throughout our dining experience; the place is cozy and vibrant, and seems to be pretty popular. I'd be curious to try their HH on the next visit! +French bistro eats +shareables +friendly staff & service
