Pure shit. Don't bother. Nothing like what you'd expect at a RC. Ignored us at our reservation time for a solid 15min even with loads of open tables. Staff never engaged. The patio is lovely, plenty of seating to people watch. And of course the dinning room is nice. My husband and I enjoyed the tomahawk steak which was absolutely delightful!!! We came here with a large birthday group rounding off at about 16, and not a single one was disappointed. Starting with the appetizers to desert the staff from the front to the back were firing on all cylinders. We all had cocktails and they were delicious. From a patron point of view the dining experience was great which you can't really ask for more. If you find yourself here in Cabo and in the need of a finer dining experience then I for sure would recommend this place. However, the downside is it is a bit pricey but that's also the name of the game down here. In conclusion I do recommend this place for anything from drinks to dinner. Enjoy. read more

Now accidents happen we are only human however when we have 5 waitstaff standing around our table including the manager to serve our food and the only response was I'll bring a cold plate, how deplorable. Not one person checked to see if she was okay or even said sorry as she crying and we have to leave the table to the bathroom to calm down and inspect the marks left form the hot spray. At this point our daughter was too upset to eat and wanted to leave so we packed up our food and left. I do not expect anything for free and happy to pay my bill but to have my daughter get hit in the face with hot juices from the plate because of the fan the restaurant has placed directly in front of your table should mean comping her meal that she couldn't eat bevause she was so upset let alone at least a sorry. Was down in Cabo a few weeks back and treated my daughter to Ruth's Chris At the Marina. Sure I got a ton of flack from all the locals because we were in Mexico and should be going out for Mexican food but I made a promise and we're from So Cal so we eat good Mexican food all the time. At any rate, we had a great dinner (NY strips) and the service was awesome. Jose took care of us I've been to this Ruth's Chris twice now and about 6 other locations . It's my favorite steak house. I'd give it 5 stars but the steaks just are quite as good as the other locations I've been too. Still great and a nice night out in Cabo. read more

I came here with my friends and boyfriend for the first time and had an amazing experience! Respectful servers, Emilio and Salvador took great care of us. We had a late night dinner by the Marina. Relaxing atmosphere, attending servers, great music and very delicious food! Definitely recommend! Very nice and private too. Lots of people were trying to sell us on their menus at the Marina and it was a huge turn off. I'd love to know what other Yelper's think about our story. We were here with another couple and ran up a $230 bill with cocktails and shared ribeyes, and both were perfect. When we got the check, both husbands got out their credit cards and were going to split 50/50. My husband happened to glance at the check and then did a quick pesos conversion, realizing that they were charging $530, not $230. When he got a pen out and started to check off the items that were ours, the waiter rushed over and said that 'they had made a mistake'. When my husband pointed out the extra $300 U.S. (2 extra steaks and 6 expensive tequilas) that we almost paid for, they apologized a lot, but offered nothing to compensate for making such a big mistake. Do my fellow Yelpers think: 1. it was an innocent mistake, or do you think 2.they were hoping that four Americans having a great time with cocktails in Mexico are easy prey for a fast $300 bonus? Ruth's Chris never disappoints. My husband and I came here for my birthday and to also celebrate our anniversary. From the moment we walked in we received excellent service. Salvador was our waiter and he and Carlos made our experience perfect. They were very attentive and friendly. My husband had the surf and turf which consisted of a filet and 2 lobster tails. He thought it was excellent and ate almost every bite. The filet was not the best cut he has had so that could have been better, but it was good. You just can't beat a steak served on a 500 degree sizzling plate with butter melted over it. The lobster tails were cooked perfectly with good taste and were very fresh. I had the stuffed chicken breast. It was also served on a 500 degree sizzling plate. This is one of the best chicken's I have ever had. I come back here over and over because it has always been excellent. I started with the Harvest Salad and my husband had the Ruth's Chopped Salad. We both loved our salads. Whoever created them did a fantastic job as all the flavors work perfectly together to make an excellent salad. We had the au gratin potatoes and broccoli au gratin as our side dishes. Salvador made a little fun of us for all the cheese we were eating, but we have no regrets :-) Purely delicious. The night ended with them surprising us with rose petals and birthday confetti on the table as well as a birthday song with a complimentary carrot cake for my birthday. We also ordered the trio of desserts (chocolate sin cake, creme brulee and cheese cake). All the desserts were also excellent. We definitely left stuffed. I highly recommend all these dishes and this restaurant. Everything we had was excellent and the service was top notch. So happy we visited and we will be back. read more

We have always enjoyed the Ruth Chris experience in Cabo and other cities. Our last trip this month was terrible. Sad to see the service and environment go downhill, wondering if there was a leadership change. The tablecloth had multiple stains, the table was not cleaned off between courses, little touch points like providing the purse stand did not happen. Water glasses sat empty as well. We had a birthday and they asked for a name twice and never provided her with the normal dessert for her 74th birthday. The manager working that night stood in the corner watching everyone but did not interact with any of the guests. The food was just average on this visit. Sad state of affairs at Ruth Chris in the Cabo marina. We had an excellent dinner at JM Steakhouse with a fantastic service team. The chef came out and visited with all of the guests. After a week of All-inclusive dining at our hotel....Ruth Chris' steak house was just what we needed to make our vacation complete. Fresh fresh ingredients. Lots of wonderful green vegetables. As a Californian we are used to lots of vegetable with our meals....not the same in Mexico. We were all so excited to get a real salad, side of broccoli and green beans and mushrooms. Ahhh! If you're accustomed to dining at Ruth Chris steak houses in America this place might be a little bit of a disappointment. Although we had reservations the hostess insisted we have to sit inside which didn't seem right. After she sat us I watched the manager go to sit the next couple at a table inside and they pointed to the outside and he took them straight to the patio. I asked the manager as I passed by headed to the restroom if it was okay if we sat outside and he said "yes of course sir if you have a reservation" which we did. Mind you there was many tables available outside even with the Covid spacing. The food was about 75% of the flavor we are use to at other Ruth Chris's. My sons lobster Mac and cheese had to go back to the kitchen as it wasn't hot. Luke warm at best i would say. Water glasses set empty for extended period of times. Just wasn't the kind of experience you expect when dropping four bills for a dinner. Would potentially try again but might be a few years as there are so many great options in Cabo. read more

Let me start by saying, this place is an absolute dumpster fire of a restaurant. First, it took our server 20 minutes to even take our drink order, but by this time we were also ready to order our food, so we ordered everything at once. Then, 10 minutes after we ordered, our bottle of wine was still not out yet. So we asked the server (who we had to wave down because they never checked on us throughout the whole night) where the wine was. Then another server came back and said they did not have the bottle we ordered and had us pick another one (significantly more expensive might I add). Two servers then came out with the bottle of wine and could not figure out how to open the wine with the wine opener.... It was a screw-off bottle of wine. They both walked away and grabbed another server to try and open the wine with the wine bottle opener, luckily this server realized you didn't need a wine opener to screw off the top. My fiancé and I had extreme second hand embarrassment after this. An absolute subpar Caesar salad was served at the same time they finally figured out how to open the wine. Then our meals came. We ate about half of our meals. Once again, everything we ordered was subpar (and that's being generous). I absolutely love a fancy, expensive meal. And my fiancé and I were celebrating our anniversary, so we wanted the night to be extra special. If you take one thing away from this review, there are SUCH BETTER places to eat in Cabo than this place. The service was just bad. Save your money, go somewhere else and do not expect your typical Ruth's Chris experience here. read more

Possibly the worst Ruth Chris on planet earth. I am a big fan of this steakhouse and make sure wherever I go if there is one I stop by. I've done this in several US cities and also internationally. This Ruth Chris was so disappointing however, that it took me a minute to wrap my head around it and actually write this review. Location is great, beautiful and massive space, which might have worked against them because it makes the restaurant look really empty except on the terrace which they were not even that many tables during a busy Saturday night. We were the third table sat. Service was super slow, we had to wait forever for our water and drinks, to order, to get the check it was insane. I had it by the time we had to get the check and personally walked inside and spoke to the manager to help us out. The food was very very bad. The worse meal we had during our stay in Cabo, which was over 2 weeks. The onion soup was super small, tea cup size small and i had to keep on re seasoning with salt and pepper because not even the cheese tasted like anything. We asked for bone in filet to share with baked potato and mushrooms. They brought us the wrong cut of meat, bone in but definitely not a fillet as it was super marbled (and not in a good bone-in ribeye kind of way) I'm talking tough connective tissue you couldn't even chew. They guy by the table who split it for us and deboned it massacred that steak, he cut it towards the grain and not against it like supposed to, with a knife that was not sharp and by the time he finished what landed on our plates was similar to a leftover steak after put through a shredder. It was ridiculous they even served us that. We called our waiter and asked several times if this was the right cut of meat and that it didn't seem right, to which he replied both times, yes that's the one you asked for and that was that , more like a closing statement not to be argued. Temperature was wrong, we asked for medium rare and got medium well on top of everything else. And our baked potato had burned skin at the bottom, had only butter and we had to wait 10 minutes after asking for bacon, cheese and sour cream (which is a given with their bake potato) to start eating. I didn't even dare to get dessert, we wanted to get out of there so fast. I hope they put their entire staff through more training and correct the issue. This place shouldn't not even carry Ruth Chris's name, it doesn't do justice to their chain and hurts their brand. read more

The check came- I didi a quick calc from pesos to $ & was shocked to see it was for $530. This location treats American tourists horrible. The food they gave me and my family was sub par compared to the states. The Caesar salad was wilted and bland. The service was a 2 out of 5. The party sitting right next to me who were Mexican got treated like kings and queens. The servers coming to them every second and for me and my family we had to wait long periods of time for simple things we would ask for like a cup of ice or some balsamic vinegar. The worst part is that this place takes advantage of unsuspecting Americans. They charged me a mandatory 15% gratuity which I thought was odd. The bill came and it said service fee. I didn't k ow what that meant so I asked the waiter what this charge was for. He told me it's the tip which is included in the total bill. I thought ok that's weird why would they choose the tip amount for me. I paid the bill anyways but when I got back home i called the location in cabo and asked if they charge a mandatory tip. Come to find out that the 15% is only charged for parties of 8 or more. So they took advantage of me. So tasteless and un classy. It seems in Mexico that the Mexicans try any way possible to steal money from Americans. I thought to my self that when Mexicans come to America they don't get that kind of treatment. So anyways I called corporate to tell them about my experience and he told me that the same situation happened to another party that went to that location so this is what they do to Americans. The corporate office told me that they will reach out to that location since he says that Ruth's Chris in other countries aren't affiliated with the US corporation which is very suspect. The manager from cabl emails me and tells me he is sorry for the error that occurred and that if I have a PayPal account they will reimburse me my tip. Are you kidding me! That wasn't a error. I was purposely charged that 15% gratuity and that's all you offer. Don't set foot and this Ruth's Chris. And for corporate to leave me hanging is truly disgusting. If it wasn't so hot, sitting outdoors is better than indoors, as it was a bit loud from the fans inside.
