This could not have been a better choice to celebrate Michelle's Birthday! I made an advance reservation and we were promptly seated. The staff was prepared with notice it was a special occasion. Our waiter Ethan was a true professional, pleasant and friendly and focused on making our as positive experience. The food was fantastic as expected. This is an elevated experience and a great place for a special occasion. Of course, we had the steaks a rib eye and filet which were perfect! The gumbo was not memorable, the roux was very dark and bit strong, not much seafood, a few small shrimp and some andouille sausage with a dollop of rice in the middle. The steamed broccoli was excellent and the pre-meal bread was a nice addition. We brought our own bottle of wine for the occasion so they offer the 'corking' service. For the finale, Ethan brought a small slice of cake with a candle and sang 'Happy Birthday'! They offer Valet parking as well. read more

We have had dinner there many times, one of our go to places for fine dining in the region. Always had great experiences in terms of food and service. Last night was a major disappointment. We ordered a prime ribeye steak, cooked rare, with two sides, creamed spinach and au gratin potatoes. The sides were great, but the steak was awful ... prepared more more like medium well, dry, and tasteless. If this was a prime steak, they better find a new meat vendor. We will now have second thoughts about returning. There's too much competition in the area to return, particularly at such high prices. read more

I honestly can't recall the last time i dined at a Ruth's Chris, but it was the closest restaurant to the Marina Inn @ the Grande Dunes in Myrtle (outside of the hotel). So headed over in time for the end of HH (nice discount on drinks and some good fried oysters) and hung at the bar, which was packed for a Friday night. Not wanting to spend an arm and a leg for dinner, I noticed they had a January special of a $60 prix fixe. I chose the 11 oz Filet option (upgraded for an extra $14), their house salad, a side of garlic mashed potatoes and their chocolate tower for dessert. It was not disappointing, quite well prepared and everything prepared and cooked perfectly. There is something about consistency, and quality and this Chris's followed the script well. I'm probably not going to run to a Ruth's Chris in the near future, but to sum it up, I was very pleasantly surprised and definitely happy with the service, food and place! read more

We did takeout through Door Dash, so I'm sure the delivery delay affected the taste of the food to some extent. Our meal was $160 and we feel ripped off. Yeah, Door Dash is around a 30% uplift plus tip, but regardless, our meal was terrible. The Caesar salad was good enough. My wife had the stuffed chicken and it was overly salty, and not a very big portion for the money. I had their prime burger and fries, and while the fries were decent and there was a generous amountof cheddar cheese, the burger was so overcooked and dry I could barely choke it down. Part of it went into the trash. Well done was an understatement, however I ordered medium. There is no way that burger left the kitchen as medium. The chef should have remade it. I remember a time when Ruth's Chris was one of the best, and I've been to many of their locations over the years for business dinners and special occasions, but this was beyond bad. On the bright side, at least I didn't spend $40 more for a ruined filet. We are done with Ruth's Chris. read more

This review is based on my wife's recent visit to this restaurant. She had reservations and got seated immediately. She ordered the steak and seafood special what had a 6 ounce filet, shrimp, lobster and shrimp which she said was enough for 2 to split, very good and cooked just right. The bread and salad were also very good, and blue cheese dressing had large chunks of cheese. She also believed they were outnof 6 ounce filets so she got a filet that was probably twice the size and more like 10 to 11 ounces. The creame burlee she ordered was good but the top a little over caramelized. She said the dining area was nice but wished she got seated closer to the window especially since here table was adjacent to an inside dividing window with another table on the other side (so basically you are looking at another party dining). Seh also mentioned that the service was good but not as attentive as she would have expected. Both her and I have noticed sometimes when we dine alone at a more upscale and because we don't usually order cocktails or wine, other table appear to get better service. A manager did come around ans asked how everything was, but like she told me, however this observation of ours is something we just accepted and don't bring it up. She also only said it was 4 stars versus 3 stars since the majority of her food was very good. Overall, she still had a very good experience, but she is not sure it is a restaurant she would return to for the price. read more

1-Star Review -- Extremely Disappointing Experience at Ruth's Chris Myrtle Beach I have eaten at many Ruth's Chris locations, and unfortunately, this was by far the worst experience I've ever had. When we arrived, we were seated, ordered our drinks, received bread and butter, and placed our order. About 20 minutes after we were seated and after our order had already been taken, we were told that the restaurant would be closing for the next 4-5 days for renovations and that the kitchen was already out of several menu items, including the stuffed chicken and sweet potato casserole. At that point, we had already been sitting there for quite some time and were hungry, so we didn't want to simply get up and leave. However, the situation continued to become more frustrating and disorganized. Our waitress came back another 10-15 minutes later and told us they were also out of the lobster mac and cheese. I suggested that they simply serve the mac and cheese with a lobster tail instead. She went to the back and came back saying they could accommodate that request. Then the manager came out and told us they didn't even have any noodles. Five minutes later, our pork chop and steak arrived -- and both were undercooked despite us specifically requesting otherwise. The mac and cheese arrived with a lobster tail that had not even been deveined. The food itself was extremely disappointing. The spicy shrimp tasted undercooked and rushed, and even the Caesar salad tasted as though it had been sitting out for hours. Then, to make matters even more confusing, after repeatedly being told that there was no sweet potato casserole left, we were suddenly told at the last minute that they did have it after all. This entire experience was incredibly disorganized and, honestly, mentally and emotionally draining. I understand that restaurants run out of items, especially when they are preparing to close for renovations. What I do not understand is allowing customers to sit down, order drinks, receive bread, place an order, and then one by one tell them that nearly everything they ordered is unavailable. If the kitchen is so depleted that the restaurant cannot properly serve its menu, management should seriously consider closing the restaurant early rather than continuing to seat customers and charging them for an experience that is nowhere near the standard expected from Ruth's Chris. We ultimately spent approximately $350, and I left feeling not only frustrated and disappointed, but honestly like I had been played. My taste buds were not satisfied, and instead of enjoying what was supposed to be a nice dinner, I left exhausted from the entire experience. Overall, I would rate this experience about a 2.5 out of 10 dining experience. It had moments of basic service, but the execution, communication, and food quality were far below acceptable standards. I've always associated Ruth's Chris with quality food, professionalism, and consistency. Unfortunately, this location completely missed the mark. The lack of communication, poor organization, unavailable menu items, undercooked food, and overall handling of the situation made this an experience I would not want to repeat. The only positive takeaway from the entire evening was that our waitress was genuinely very sweet and kind throughout the experience, even though she was clearly working in a very disorganized and difficult situation. She did her best with what she was given, and I do appreciate her attitude despite everything going wrong around her. If you know your kitchen is running out of inventory before a multi-day renovation, please be transparent with customers BEFORE taking their orders. Customers should not have to discover what is and isn't available one item at a time after already sitting down and committing to a $350 dinner. Extremely disappointed. This was absolutely not the Ruth's Chris experience I expected. read more

We celebrated our 23rd Anniversary with an amazing dinner at Ruth Chris! Our server, Colleen, was amazing and Paige was great too. Excellent service! Very attentive. Our food was delicious. We split a Ceasar salad - so yummy. And split a filet mignon, cooked perfectly, and mashed potatoes. The filet was tender and juicy! We enjoyed our cocktails- basil Hayden on an ice rock and Quilt red wine. It was a great, intimate setting for our anniversary celebration. A trip to Myrtle Beach is not complete without a visit to the fine dining establishment of Miss Ruth Chris. We had reservations to make sure our trip would be perfect. Iuliia was our main server assisted by Mason & Tanner. They were all top notch at their professions. It wasn't crowded but then again we go there at 5:00. I would've preferred a different choice of background music but that's just me! We started off with calamari and then to the main entree. Bone in ribeye cooked to perfection. We added grilled shrimp and asparagus. For dessert believe it or not- Crab cakes! Perfection on a plate. So good I forgot to take a picture of the entire serving!! Karina was probably THE most pleasant, most attentive and most conscientious person I've EVER had the pleasure of meeting. We never had to ask for a refill, she quickly responded to us when we had a need. We have dubbed her the "water fairy", but she is sooooo much more! Second, Parker! Likewise, Parker was attentive, personable and quick to make sure everything was good. Both, delivered a valuable service and made our experience one that warranted a good review to the manager, Adam. I wanted to make sure others were aware that Ruth's Chris makes sure you not only have a wonderful dining experience, but they make their service equally as important. Ruth's Chris Steak House consistently delivers a satisfying dining experience, and conveniently, it was situated within the hotel where I was staying in Myrtle Beach. In the mood for lamb, I selected the double cut lamb chops as my entree. All sides are designed for sharing; I opted for the lyonnaise potatoes, roasted brussels sprouts, and cremini mushrooms. I also treated myself to a couple of cocktails during my meal: the Ruth's Aviation, featuring my favorite Aviation Gin, and a scotch-based cocktail called The Gentleman. 4 out of 5 Stars for this visit. Full disclosure, my father (RIP) ran the kitchen of a Four Star Restaurant and he tried to teach me the ropes. I didn't have interest then, but I do now (in my old age). For starters, we usually spend our Anniversary week at a beach resort, and we have a few in our rotation. This year, we chose North Myrtle Beach, which we love. We got to our hotel the night before our big day, but since we arrived early, we decided to have dinner at Ruth's Chris, which is located on the grounds of our favorite place to stay. After being seated and greeted by a courteous staff member, our server, whose name was Reginald, clumsily asked if "all we were having to drink this evening was water?" Huh? At a restaurant of this quality? I almost asked him to leave, collect his thoughts and try again. He took our orders and was off to ensure that everything went well. The wife ordered a crisp, fruity white (Sauvignon Blanc?) and I ordered a Shiraz. The pacing was terrible...primarily because Reginald spent an exorbitant amount of time at one table only. We had very little interaction with him the entire evening, and the place wasn't so busy that he couldn't have made time. He chose to interact with one table. Meanwhile, our bread and salads were good...once they came. My wife's entree was Salmon, which was cooked to perfection. My steak, however, was grossly overcooked. I ordered medium rare and got a well done piece of shoe leather. I also asked for blue cheese crust, which I got, but the shrimp topping was also missing. How could our server miss these details? Proper procedure for front of the house is to double check that order before serving it to your customer. My guess is that Reginald wanted to get back to the aforementioned table, which did not benefit us. In the meantime, both my wife and I watched Tyler, another server interact with all of his tables and customers. I had to flag down another server and ask her to find Reginald. Meanwhile, Tyler saw the mistep and tried to assist. He and the manager were very customer friendly and did everything they could to fix the situation. I finally got my entree, which was cooked to my liking, and we got a couple of glasses of wine thrown in to boot. I would have demanded that my meal be on Reginald's tab, but it was late and I was tired. That would have been the right thing to do (it's what I would have done). After we settled up with Reginald, he shook my hand and clumsily stated, "You know that you're always invited don't you?" What? This is a public restaurant! WHY wouldn't I be invited? ‍ Anyway, I give the rest of the staff 5 stars and Reginald gets 1 star. We're usually really big tippers...especially at higher end restaurants, but Reginald lost an additional $30 that night. We still tipped him decently because that's just how we are, but his lack of attention and poor customer service cost him on the back end. The next time we come to North Myrtle Beach, we will visit Ruth's Chris, but I will ask for Tyler. I'm sure that our experience will be significantly better. read more

For date night we made reservations for Ruth's Chris and our first experience could have definitely been better. For starters, while the first serving assistant was sitting down my Crab cakes, the second assistant dropped an 8oz glass of Santa Margherita Pinot Grigio onto the food, table and the lap of my dress! On date night, while on vacation, during our first time there, y'all. I was upset but in trying not to ruin the night, I asked could we move to a new table. They began to recook the meal and I went to the restroom to attempt to dry off. They apologized and I assumed that it would be rectified at the end. The manager nor chef ever came by so I'm assuming they knew they had messed up. The crab cakes were actually the star of the show. My fiancé had the Garlic encrusted Seabass which he said it was pretty tasty, paired with the Santa Margherita Pinot Grigio. We both shared the Au Gratin Potatoes and the Sweet Potatoe casserole. Our server asked if it was our first time at any Ruth's Chris to which we said yes. I had the Hat Trick and he suggested the Managers Special Seafood Trio that he said we wouldn't find on the menu. He said it included scallops which I don't eat so asked if I could have shrimp instead? I asked for the Filet to be Medium which means HOT PINK center. I received a completely RED cut that was closer to Rare than Medium Rare. (you're talking to a former fine dining server of many years here, just keep that in mind) I know steak temperatures lol so that dish also had to be sent back. When it came back this time, it was Well Done (never quite made it to the medium mark lol.) So I obviously wasn't happy with the filet. The shrimp and lobster were just OK. I enjoyed the sauce that was served with the crabcakes better. Then to find out at the end that this special was $105 -more than anything else on the menu, was very underwhelming. Nothing was exceptional about this special. It didn't melt in your mouth like some of your competitors that serves Kobe/ Japanese beef. I also feel as if the server should have 100% mentioned the price beforehand. Not because it was an issue but because on the menu, there was actually an entrée that serves Filet and Shrimp! I could have simply added a lobster tail to the entrée, and it still would have been less than what the price of the Manager Special was. As a server, I do think it was his job to suggest or either notify us of that. Not to try to get the ticket to be as high as possible. As I mentioned previously, I am a former fine dining server so he was going to be tipped well regardless. I just feel as if you didn't have to price gouge in order to receive your tip, which actually could've been more than 20% in all honesty, had the night gone better. I ordered the Apple Tart to take home with us (which was good the next morning). When the server brought out our check, he mentioned that he added a chocolate mousse cake to our to go bags. Later, I seen on the receipt was a promotional item. I'm guessing that was their gesture faith? Didn't land well. I don't eat chocolate at all. Why not simply cover the other desert, we purchased if that was the case? It seem more self-serving vs. customer satisfaction. I think our expectations just simply weren't met on this night. To leave a place spending almost $400 on 2 people, you would have thought to have had a better experience than what we did. So unfortunately, this Ruth's Chris gets the one star from me based off of our very underwhelming experience! read more

I just realized that my review for RC is sitting without being posted- however as I review and prepare to post- I think a bit about holiday service is timely and useful. Ruth Chris has always been part of my - standby- normally doesn't disappoint nice meal- especially while traveling on business. I can say without exception that prior to Darden Hospitality's acquisition, I have never had a disappointing meal at Ruth's Chris. Having missed making a reservation for New Year's Eve, I was perfectly happy with welcoming the New Year at our home location in Myrtle Beach. Sadly the ambience was a bit lacking - no greet by name and napkin assistance. Our server was lovely and based on over hearing nearby tables, she was not alone with the guests needing to ask for specials. At first I thought well it's New Year's and part of the reason I was able to snag a reservation the same day was likely that they stretched capacity a bit. I can live with that, especially given her polite manner. I genuinely observed that the service standards had simply changed. We don't normally eat out with our neighbors- so this was really the first time in 2 years we were without kiddos and able to engage in meaning conversation. Our server was very patient (our reservation at 8:41 was late enough that no one was breaking down the door to get our table). We are not heavy drinkers so we ordered a drink and placed an order for two appetizers to share. Both the calamari and shrimp cocktail were as expected, even better- the shrimp was chilled properly without being damp (sometimes hard to find in our area). We finally placed our order during the appetizers and the server left the menus on our table for 4, until we were trying to clear some of the appetizer and bread plates. Our food came to the table in good time and was delivered with assistance. As a table we remained in conversation, while the plates were delivered. After the server and her assistance left my husband had made a comment about possible wanting cracked pepper, just as I went to turn my plate. I am aware that their plates are hot- it's part of their brand- but this was beyond hot! As a mom of 5 and having worked my way through school in hospitality, I have grabbed my share of hot dishes. This was incredibly hot and the stinging radiated far. I quickly dug ice from my water glass and focused on not cursing out loud or bursting into tears. Once we caught the server's attention she was quick to offer burn cream and a bandaid. Tears did roll down my face. Our table of four sat stunned. Everyone was waiting for me to declare that I was fine but it burned and the white blistering started to show on 4 fingers and both thumbs. The server was attentive and returned with even more burn cream. She too was looking uncomfortable. Once I convinced the table to eat while I iced and applied generous amounts of burn cream my husband politely cut my filet so I could at least eat some of my surf and turf- the little that I was able to eat was delicious but my hands hurt so much that holding my utensils to eat was difficult to say the least. The management waited to approach our table and we had no clue she even stopped by until I called to discuss how badly I was hurt by the plate. During that call, the manager was down right argumentative. She never even asked if my hand was doing any better or even okay. It is so very disappointing that Ruth's was k own for great service and is now almost a mirror image of the "couldn't care less attitude or their sister The Olive Garden". At an establishment with this reputation, guests should never know if the staff is feeling stressed. However, so many of the tables near us shared comments about how upset they were. One charged that they "felt bad about leaving a less than 25% tip on a holiday, but there was no way in hell I am leaving a tip for this mess." Ouch! Holiday tips and $$$$$ normally go hand in hand. Maybe 2025 will look better for them. read more

They don't have physical menu, you will need an smart phone to scan the QR code to open the menu on the phone. The berries at MB cocktail was awesome and smell good.
