From the friendliness and attentiveness of the staff to the flavorful meats and delicious dishes, this is definitely the best Brazilian steakhouse I've eaten at so far! From the host and servers to the meat servers, supervisors, and floor managers, I've never been to a restaurant where literally EVERYONE was so accommodating, welcoming, and polite! From beginning to end, we truly enjoyed our dining experience while celebrating our wedding anniversary. They even celebrated us with a lovely dessert, which was such a nice touch! I've never been to a Brazilian steakhouse. I was invited to join a friend and took him up on the offer. The venue was nicely decorated. A bar to the right of the entrance and seating area straight ahead behind the greeters area. The restaurant had a steakhouse feel, I'd say an upscale vibe. The premises here is that once seated you receive a round "coaster like" item. Red on one side, green on the other. You start with the coaster, red side up. First stop is the salad bar area. Here, you will find a vast selection of salads, to include seafood salad and sushi, romaine to kale. Many popular salad dressings, alas no blue cheese. After the cold food, proceed to the water bar (with a clean plate). Here, several popular warm dishes are available, including mashed potatoes, mac and cheese and spaghetti. After the water dishes, or really any time during your meal, flip your coaster from red to green and prepare for a veritable onslaught of different meats brought to your table, served on skewers. The servers either slice hunks of meat off for your enjoyment. Meats like flank steak, sirloin, beef tenderloin, chicken (many different versions), lamb, sausage, and garlic bread. All are cooked on an open fire and distinctively smoky in taste. Eat all you want! The servers were very polite and very attentive. For me, a quite unique experience. Overall, a great experience! Come with an appetite! Good food, great service, though an "all you can eat" restaurant, none of the detractors commonly complained about at other places. The salad and warm bars were manicured and food served fresh. Meats galore and tasty. At the end of the meal, a dessert cart will come around tempting you with sweet dishes. Took another long weekend in Myrtle Beach and Rioz is always a must. This last visit we were waited on by Pilar who was incredibly kind, made sure we enjoyed our time, had some great recommendations and was a pleasure to talk to. We got there early, around 5:00, and the dining room was just starting to fill up. The environment is always warm and welcoming. Although I don't think there is a dress code, semi-casual or business-casual is just fine. The food on the buffet was displayed well, fresh, and delicious. There are plenty of non-pork options as the staff bring around the meat, just be careful because some options are wrapped in bacon and the servers move quickly so be sure to ask if that's a concern. read more

We never had to worry about flagging anyone down for meat even though we were seated in a more private corner, which honestly made our time more romantic. The sangria was amazing! We went to eat on Saturday July 11th during our mini vacation. The food was amazing and the servers kept bringing more and more options of wonderful food. They did not rush to get us out. When you turned your coin from red to green, the amount of options that came to the table were unstoppable. The mashed potatoes are so delicious and the lamb chops are decadent. Every single thing we tried was fresh, hot and extremely flavorful. The staff is very friendly and attentive to our table. It was $50 per person and we got more than our moneys worth! My boyfriend ask the server if he ever saw a pregnant man before. He ate so much he felt like the first American pregnant man. We can't wait to go back. Let me start by saying I have been to this establishment many times and always enjoyed my time there. I was taking my family out but fell ill. My Wife took our Daughter and GrandDaughter and her friend from out of town. When they got home, I was shocked to hear how horrible it was and they will never go back. They proceeded to tell me that all the meats were dry, overcooked and barely edible. The salad bar was a disaster. Wilted and brown produce, most floating in water. The noodle dishes starchy with no flavor. I could go on but I don't feel the need to. I do wish I attended to see this for myself but what I was told was enough for me. What happened? I can barely describe the experience I just had at this restaurant, My husband and I are not from the area and we decided to come to Rioz. So disappointed. Went to the bar to get a drink and appetizer. We sat down and there were three employees working that never acknowledged us (the bar had two other customers). Looked at one of the employees and asked if she worked there and she says yes but nothing else. One of the other employees finally asked if we needed something. Ordered a drink and two meat appetizers. The chicken was tasteless and dry and the steak was full of gristle. Will never go back. If you have the green light, the meat just kept coming. The restaurant itself was very clean and well kept. This was a top notch establishment...much nicer than the other place we tried last year (Gauchos). While it is expensive, it is worth every penny. Don't miss out on this experience. The food was terrible. I wasn't going to write a review but since you asked here it is. It is very expensive, about $50 a person. At That price it needs to,be consistently wonderful. A friend recommended the Parmesan encrusted pork. It was so dry it was inedible. The steak was very tough. Even the filet minion was tough! The potato salad was bland. The asparagus was bland, tasteless. My husband had the beets and said they were the best thing about the meal! Pretty sad, huh? We had cocktails which were very good. I ordered the strawberry cheesecake to go. It was mediocre because it had a few fresh strawberries on it but no strawberry sauce. The staff was amazing, very attentive and cordial. We went on a Wednesday night, maybe that was the problem. The food wasn't fresh because they weren't busy. We spent $175 for two people on a bad meal. Not cool! It should have knocked our socks off! The $175 did include the tip. We did tip. We have been to the Rioz in Columbia, South Carolina and enjoyed it. Great churrascaria across the street from Broadway. Excellent service from the time you walk in the door until you leave. The place is huge and well decorated, Huge salad bar with many cold and hot choices but the grilled skewered meats are the star here. Filet mignon, lamb chops, sausage, chicken, pork, and my favorite - Picanha! All properly cooked. The servers will ask how you like it cooked and they will provide you with slices your way. Their cheesy puffy bread is great as is their garlic cheesy toast. Don't miss the grilled pineapple with brown sugar or the other house special treat, grilled mozzarella with honey. Fantastic combinations. I would have given them five stars if they were more upfront about the to-go desserts. They came around with a cart and offered desserts and said they were available to go. What they didn't clarify was that they were 'extra $$' and were the most expensive desserts I've ever purchased. Seems like for a $50/person meal that dessert would be included. I was waiting on lamb chops so I asked and the waiter asked how I wanted them cooked. He delivered, delicious med rare lamb chops. Wish I had room to eat more. Sirloin was a little tough, but everything else was great. It was quite loud in the dining area. It was hard to hear what the offered meat items were. We finally got our drinks at least halfway through dinner, (had to ask twice). Mousse Cake was delivered after a long wait, even tho it was frozen. hubs finished it before I got flan so I took it to go and it was excellent. Food was great! Overall experience wasn't an experience I would NOT recommend. The almost all of meats were extremely salty, salad bar was good. Our waiter (Hunter) was not the friendliest. We were celebrating two birthdays, after being in the restaurant for an hour, request was made with our reservations to sing two the two birthdays.. that did not happen. The hostess even spoke in Spanish noting there were two birthdays. 10/10 do not recommend unless you are only doing the salad bar. I love this place!! It's a little pricey but foods always good! I love how the waiters come with skewers of meats and offer you cuts of a variety of meats plus that pineapple.. wow it melts in your mouth! I have never had bad experience here.. there are 2 now in Myrtle but this one's the one we tend to go to most because it's located by Broadway at beach . It was busy with big groups the night we came but we had reservation and they sat us immediately. I ordered the white sangria and it's amazing!! I got good plate of variety at salad bar. You could just eat that there's so much to choose from. My stomach was so full between that and few meats really enjoyed ! We were done fairly fast but they told us to relax we weren't rushed out but the guys with meats were coming fast! It can be overwhelming T times with lot going on. I've been coming to Rioz now, and it's always a good time. The food is A1, the steak is one of my favs from the area. But I actually am making this review because of the stellar service we had from the person who took care of our room, her name is Albany. What a spectacular job, she was so kind, sweet, patient & also very proactive. We had a pretty big part of 25+ and she was able to accommodate our party with no issues. The salad bar offered decent choices, but the chicken salad and the crab salad had way too much mayo to taste good. The rice was so mushy and wet. Inedible. Other food that missed the mark included some of the salads on the bar - The salad bar items are not marked in a way that indicates if they are vegetarian or not. Some of the greens were wilted and browning. Some of the good food we had included the shrimp. Perfectly cooked and seasoned. I was able to eat quite a few of those. It was the best thing I had, followed closely by the dessert , which was a decadent turtle cheesecake. The seaweed salad was decent. The mashed potatoes were smooth and delicious. Would I come back? We visit Rioz every year on vacation as our special meal. If you've been to a Brazilian steak house before, it's no match for Rioz. My ONLY nix for Rioz this year is that any floor in the restaurant that is not carpeted is very slippery, we almost went down multiple times going to the salad bar and bathroom. I don't know if it's the cleaner they use or if the floor is greasy, but it's a disaster waiting to happen. Salad bar has salad, fruit, charcuterie, sushi, potato/pasta/corn salad. There is a hot bar with sides for your meat; mashed potatoes, rice, fried potatoes, bacon. And the meat is incredible. House sirloin, filet mignon, flank steak, pork chop, lamp chop, garlic steak, garlic chicken, prime rib, salmon. This year they also had garlic bread coming around and baked cheese with honey - not sure if they've always had it or we just missed it in the past.
