Everything great you would expect from a Ruth Chris Steakhouse regardless of location. From the service to the offerings all around excellent. The dinner special starting with a huge individual Caesar salad followed by an 11oz medium rare fillet and 3 shrimp, a large side of garlic mashed and warm rolls accompanied by an excellent mocktail which was pretty tasty. Set in a clean intimate setting with attention to detail and top shelf cuisine Ruth Chris is known for.

I really wish I could give this steak house a very good review buy I cannot!! The food was good but our steaks were overcooked. Hard to believe at a famous steak house! Our Caesar salads and lobster was good. Our waiter was obviously trying to perform for a bigger tip and was much too rehearsed and not genuine in his approach. He as obviously trying too hard and it really detracted from the ambiance. We were celebrating a birthday and an anniversary and in the past the shared desert was complementary and in fact the server we had last year, stated that they would again be complimentary. IT WASN'T. $13.00 is not going to break me when I spent $345.00 on diner, but it might be a deciding factor when I choose this restaurant in the future or not! We are blessed in Rochester with some very good eating establishments. Time to look elsewhere in the future!

Stopped into Ruth's Chris in Rochester for a pre-dinner drink and was seriously impressed. The bar has such a cool, upscale vibe--perfect spot to unwind before dinner. I had one of the best martinis I've ever had, and the Old Fashioned was easily one of the best in Rochester. The food coming out of the kitchen smelled incredible, so I'll definitely be back to try dinner next time. Highly recommend stopping in for a drink--you won't be disappointed!

I come here every time I'm in town for medical issues or medical tourism, and I am never disappointed with the service or food! The happy hour from 4 to 6 PM is a special treat. I've had great service both times I've been in town recently from Al & Ang at the bar. Everyone knows Ruth Chris has excellent ambience & steaks. When the weather is nice, ck out the patio. They have Iive music and art shows, etc. in peace Plaza sometimes just outside.

Where does one begin to rave about an awesome culinary experience. Ruth's Rochester is knocking it out of the park. They have only been open for a month, and my first venture here was everything a well established premier steakhouse should be. Cudos to everyone on the team, especially Sydney, our enthusiastic table server. She and everyone we encountered provided an absolutely wonderful experience in every way. Ruth's brand sells itself to old devotees of the original Louisiana locations, especially Baton Rouge. Almost thirty years ago, Ruth's Baton Rouge was my second home. Tonight, Ruth's Rochester brought back every wonderful memory and more in their food, service, and ambiance. The wine list is amazing. A price point for everyone, and a wine for every palate. Seriously, an award worthy list. Pay attention Wine Spectator. My beef filet was perfection. Serious perfection. The seafood tower was memorable. And the au gratin absolutely heavenly. Seriously traditional Ruth's offerings done right. The au gratin brought me to tears with its awesomeness. Another small, but big, thing: the seafood shell cracking tool and small forks were of the finest quality and worked perfectly. No wannabes here. We went for bread pudding for dessert. Again, well worthy of old New Orleans. One grouse, we needed to ask for a little more whiskey sauce, which was promptly provided. The after dinner coffee was rich and robust. A perfect ending. Ruth's Rochester fills a long standing vacancy in the Rochester culinary scene. You can't beat Victoria's for Italian everything, and you can't beat Ruth's for traditional American steakhouse. And they are next door to each other. Lovin' both in Rochester. Ruth's Rochester, a total winner!!!!!

I had made a reservation well in advance, mentioning that it was our anniversary and a special night for us. The team at Ruth's Chris went out of their way to make it a "WOW!" experience for us! The hostess asked us if we had a reservation, and as soon as we said our name, they immediately welcomed us and said "happy anniversary!", and took us to our table - the table was set beautifully, and had been covered with fresh rose petals, and anniversary-themed confetti. They thanked us for choosing their establishment for our special night, and introduced our service team. Tony welcomed us by name, and then shared the specials with us before taking our drink order and walking us through a few of the menu highlights. We were served bread, and when Tony returned with the drinks, he took our orders, all the while very gracious, knowledgeable and polite. Salads were wonderfully dressed and portioned, and the Caesar salads with anchovies and freshly ground pepper were awesome! We both chose steak and lobster - and they exceeded our expectations by a mile. Perfectly cooked, beautifully presented, and absolutely delicious! Steak so tender that the knife was almost overkill - and the lobster was perfect. We shared cheesecake and Crème brûlée, and loved the presentation with fresh berries and a flourish of chocolate that spelled out "happy anniversary!" Absolutely the best steak experience that we've had in the past few years, and we're thankful that Ruth's Chris has come to Rochester!

Amazing Shrimp cocktail to whet the whistle . .

Outstanding meal!! Newly established in Rochester food scene, I took my granddaughter for a special treat and we were two happy campers. Served by two efficient waiters, we were made to feel special! Super elegant table setting and everything "just so . . " the pictures make my mouth water! Will definitely be back!

We found the five course tasting menu to be interesting, but neither my wife nor I found the food to be delicious or memorable. Quality ingredients were top notch and the preparation and plating excellent, but we just didn't care for the flavors or combinations that came out. We expect when we get a tasting menu to have a few dishes that might miss the mark for us -- that's sort of the point. You're exploring the chef's ideas and dishes. It's strange when none of the dishes really hit with our palates and we travel all over the world in search of amazing food and dining experiences. To make matters somewhat worse, we did the wine pairing and oftentimes with the courses we found the wine did not pair incredibly well with the plates. Further, when the wine was served we never saw a bottle once and were never told about the winery, the vintage, etc. -- only the type of wine it was and what flavors we could expect. We've never had that before with a wine pairing. We encourage the chef to continue to explore his palate, creativity, and imagination and we look forward to the possibility of coming back again some time in the future to see how this chef and menu may have evolved.

Highly recommend the confit potatoes which are cooked in marrow fat with this really nice cheese cream sauce. Overall I think the highlight of most of their dishes including the Manti Dumplings and Bone Marrow risotto are their sauces which are well rendered, have a nice citrus tang to them (could be strong for some) or bone marrow rendered fat flavor. Service was great at the bar with our server giving us recommendations on how best to have our dishes. Food came out decently quick with the app first then mains. Was very pricey though worth it if you're looking for a nice treat with friends, partners, or family! :) Ambiance was chill and nice overall. They have nice decor and vibes and I'm glad they recovered after the recent accident a year ago!

The estate is enveloped by the most magnificent, lush greenery and beautiful flowers; the visual presentation of both the exterior and interior is nothing short of stunning. It feels less like a traditional restaurant and more like a peaceful, hidden sanctuary. One has the lovely option of dining either indoors or al fresco. I chose to step inside, and the ambiance completely captivated me. The decor is masterfully curated, transporting one entirely out of Rochester and into a serene, elegant Thai forest. The hospitality was equally impressive. While I was speaking with our attentive waiter, the charming owner personally came over to greet me and introduced Annie, which was a thoroughly delightful touch. The level of care and personalized service here is genuinely top-tier. To drink, I enjoyed a beautifully crafted Mock-Gari-Thai. Upon the owner's superb recommendation, I paired it with the Tom Yum Noodle Soup. The pairing was magnificent the flavors were complex, vibrant, and executed with absolute precision. The ranch served alongside tasted fresh like it was house-made, too. My husband loved his meal: custom burger with fries. The bun was even great quality. I had the grilled chicken with toasted quinoa salad. The portion size was massive, and it was a very good mix of flavors and textures. I've never had quinoa toasted in this way before. The baguette piece along with it was great, too. We were too full to order dessert, which was a shame, as they had bread pudding on the menu, one of my favorites. We'll need to come back!

It can feel a bit cramped but gives kinda a speakeasy vibe meets hipster. Note that finding parking is a bit challenging here. There are two booths on the window that would make excellent date spots.
