Our dryer died. It…read morewas unexpected only because we expected the washer to go first. I spent hours looking at reviews, applying for a box store credit card, loading up my shopping cart with extended warranties and parts only to come to the very end where the box store indicated that the product I wanted could be delivered, but there was no professional installation available. Say what??? Everyone knows that if you don't have their installers handle the installation, the moment you try to use that extended warranty that you've purchased they will tell you, "the warranty was voided by the installer." NOPE, not going to happen. So I came on yelp. Appliances on Lakeside had great reviews, was local, and nearby. Couldn't ask for more. We walked into the store and were greeted immediately. Mr. Ray came over to help us. I explained that I was looking at their GE machines on-line and we wanted to purchase a washer and dryer. I went from the top-of-the-line to a "lower" model because I really didn't want all the bells and whistles (15 functions???? I need maybe 3 and no, I don't need wifi because honestly, I don't care if my wash is done - I'll move it to the dryer when I get to it). Mr. Ray looked up the machine I was interested in, and while it was going to take at least 3 weeks for delivery, the price was even less than what was on the show room model. I like less. The installation (professional!) along with the recycling of the existing is all one price. The parts (new hoses are a must) were less than the box store. The warranty (same amount of time and basically the same price) is actually BETTER than what the box store covers. I'm liking local. I like walking out of a showroom happy about my purchase.

Appliances on Lakeside has told us they need to get it fixed their supplier; Bodewell. Bodewell keeps resched and has told is we need to pay for the part. Lakesise is now ignoring us. By from Lowes or Home Depot or someone who actually cares about their reputation.

I had clearly…read moreexplained the issue over the phone and even offered to send photos beforehand, but that wasn't taken up. When the technician arrived, I showed him the small plastic latch piece that had broken off. He only briefly looked at the washer itself and quickly concluded that the issue required a full lid assembly replacement costing around $400-$450, along with an $80 service charge for the visit. Afterwards, I purchased the replacement latch part from another appliance store for about $13 and replaced it myself in a few minutes after watching a repair video. The washer is now working properly. My concern is that the specific broken part I identified was not really evaluated, and the diagnosis felt very quick given the simplicity of the actual repair. I understand technicians rely on experience, but in this case the solution turned out to be far less complex than what was quoted. Overall, I left feeling that the issue wasn't fully considered, which led to an unnecessary service fee and a much more expensive repair recommendation than was needed.

I was told they used other contract workers but someone would reach out to them to see if it could be delivered sooner. When I got home 2 hours later I felt I really needed the mattress on the same day so I wanted out of the just made contract to choose another location. When I called back I was able to talk to Steven Gulati a salesman that works there. He was absolutely thorough on canceling my order and used absolute A1 customer service in doing so. Steven spoke clearly, he listened closely to all details and made sure he got all my information correct the first time. Steven was patient, friendly and moved swiftly!! I appreciate his help and his courteaousness in the matter. For customer service alone I would recommend this company! Thank you Steven!

The place can definitely be upgraded and look a lot better inside. It truly feels like a whole in the whole of furniture places. However, I ordered some items online (two night stands) for pickup but also took some time to look around the store at their offerings. They have a lot of good things that are priced well! I drive a sedan, so I knew that my car may not be able to fit both night stands but they let me see the boxes they were in and we were able to fit one in! Luckily, I live close by so I just drove back for the other (I didn't want to pay the $99 delivery fee clearly lol). I assembled the night stands together the same day and one of them was faulty (the leg didn't line up with the pre drilled holes). Based on their website, their return policy is not friendly but I tried my hand and called them and told them the problem. They were happy to replace it rather than me filing a warranty claim -- which I thought was super nice and saved me from a future headache. I would say that when I went to go replace it, I had to wait a very long time but they seemed short staffed and rather busy at the time.

The technology in appliancees has come so far now. I financed an LG all in one machine Washer+Drier for $150 down I had a $2,000+ space age feeling, clothes and linen pampering machine. It is so crazy, the stuff goes in dry and comes out dry and clean and softer thannI have ever felt something come out the drier. This thing uses a heat pump to gently heat and pull the moisture out your stuff. Amazing, no vent pipe and no extra space being taken up by a whole additional machine. Thing even uses a standard 120 Volt plug like anything else you would plug in. No more wild, huge 220 Volt plug and special outlet and an electrician to install the outlet and breaker. EZPZ is an understatement. Only thing this place needs is the appliances to be hooked up so the salesman can give a proper demonstration. Also the salesman need to be more knowledgeable about the technology. If you do your own research then you're straight.

Although my previous unit fit the space, the new one did not. The delivery drivers--who were great and clearly working at the end of a very long day, as mine was their ninth delivery--managed to wedge the appliance into place but were unable to complete the installation by leveling it. I then had the space adjusted to accommodate the new appliance and called East Coast Appliance to ask if someone could return to finish the delivery. But the manager told me I would have to pay another $90 service fee. From a customer-service standpoint, waiving that second fee would have gone a long way toward ensuring the appliance was installed correctly and turning a frustrating situation into a positive experience. Instead, I was asked to pay a second time for the delivery to be completed. The delivery team was courteous and did what they could under the circumstances. My disappointment is with the company's response afterward. As I said, I really wanted to like East Coast Appliance, but I don't.

I'm renovating a 150 house and trying to make the bathrooms appear as they would have been when originally installed in the 1930s. Someone did a "modern" drugged induced hippie renovation in the 1970s (the only way you could tolerate the bathrooms is if you were high). Sorry, back to the review. Every time I'm there, I found the product that I really liked but out of my budget. The sales person spent a lot of time with me to understand exactly the style I wanted and suggested a much less expensive option without sacrificing quality. I am thrilled with the products and service. If you shop there, it's helpful to take magazines or photos of what you want. Don't run out the door in terror with some of the prices- they offer more affordable options. When talking with the sales person, be honest to discuss budget because they will work with you. Be mindful that these are quality products. While the prices are higher than the big box stores, the products will last much longer so they are actually cheaper. It's painful to spend a lot of money on a renovation and then after a few years, the finish on the faucets is wearing off and leaking. Go with quality products! Wow, I never thought that I could be so excited about plumbing products and bodily functions.
