I had my hair done by Lois and she was so sweet! The salon is clean and modern with ample parking out front. When I arrived I was greeted and showed to my seat. There was a welcome sign with my name and a drink menu with chocolate and products samples (which I forgot to grab lol) . I showed Lois my inspo pictures and we discussed what I would like done. I was in between doing a balayage or all over color and ultimately decided on a balayage due to the maintenance required. I really enjoyed the scalp massage, so relaxing! Throughout my appointment, Lois made sure I was doing okay and if I needed anything from drinks, snacks or bathroom breaks. Overall a great experience :) read more

Had an amazing experience with Kiana this past week! After driving year after year back to LA to get my hair done, I figured it was finally time to find a new salon closer to home. I was recommended to Salon Ardor by my coworker, who I really trusted since her hair always looks amazing. From the start, Kiana was super friendly and detail-oriented. As a fellow girl with hair trauma, she really understood how to make me feel at ease during my visit. She checked in on me many times and referred back to my reference photo I showed her multiple times to make sure she got it right. It was absolutely perfect. I had a full balayage done with a haircut. What blew me away was that even after blow drying it the first time, she noticed my bangs were more blonde than the rest of my hair. As someone who obviously isn't a professional, I couldn't quite tell at the moment, but she took the time and effort to go back and tone, wash, and blow dry it again. The results at the end were so worth it. I'm so glad she made the professional decision to make sure her work was perfect because she could've easily dismissed it since I said I didn't notice anything wrong at the moment. I think it's safe to say I've found my new salon. The overall vibes were just super friendly and welcoming. The booking process was super easy (online) and the whole experience was pretty seamless. Walking in, the salon is super clean, calm, and neat. They even had a little welcome sign with my name on it near my chair and offered beverages and snacks (fancy!). My stylist was Ariana and I couldn't be more happy with my cut. It's easy to book online for an appointment of anything you need, or you can also call and schedule. The salon is clean and tidy! They always offer snacks and drinks during your service. Never too busy, and everyone seems to love catching up. It's located in a small shopping plaza with lots of parking. I've gotten service from roby and ariana. Roby gave me a great layered haircut and toner, and Ariana also gave me a great toner touch up. The prices are so reasonable - $90 for a full tone. Perfect! I highly recommend! I was nervous, but everyone is super nice, and the texting feature is super handy. Ashley was my stylist and super great; my friend goes to another stylist and likes her too. I did show her a photo, and she made it like the photo but actually better because she's experienced so she knew what to do, even though I didn't know what to ask for! Best salon I have ever been to!!! They specialize in coloring Asian hair. I believe that all their stylists are well-trained and have their own specific style in how they do hair for their clients. I decided to get my haircut by Jen and instantly was drawn to her style and knowledge for my hair type. I'm also planning to get my hair lightened and she offered a lot of tips and education about maintenance of going blonde which I really appreciate. I feel like a lot of stylists at other salons don't explain the process as thoroughly. Such a relaxed and chill work environment. All stylists are always hard at work and make sure their clients are happy and satisfied. Really, any stylist is good at Salon Ardor! Salon Ardor and all the ladies here are so sweet! I got a balayage and cut with Ashley and she did an amazing job! I've been to a few stylists over the years and have always shown them the same inspirational color. Ashley was the FIRST stylist to achieve this look while still preserving the integrity of my hair. During our consultation, she took the time to understand my current hair routine and how comfortable I was with maintenance. I have thick, dark hair and I haven't been able to find a place that was able to treat my hair without leaving it orange and brassy. Ashley made sure I was comfortable the entire time and I was even offered snacks and water during my visit. She wanted to make sure I was happy with the cut and color before I left the salon. What I LOVED about working with Ashley is that she took her time and was not in a rush. She is also so sweet to talk to and I enjoyed being in the chair while she did my hair. The seats and bowls here are also super comfortable so I didn't feel any discomfort while sitting in the chair or while waiting in the bowl. This salon is so different from the ones I've gone to before. You can tell that the ladies here are a team and that they genuinely care that you leave the salon happy. At the end of our appointment, Ashley recommended a few products to me and even used some during our appointment. I love that she did not pressure me to purchase anything and that she took the time to explain how and why she used each product. I've never been one to stick to the same stylist for very long for multiple reasons - I'm generally fine with booking with any stylist at a salon and don't always request for the same stylist as last time. I also tend to bounce between a few different salons depending on scheduling availability. However, I think I've found my forever home! I discovered Salon Ardor through their website & Instagram, and their online aesthetic and brand promise definitely carries through to their in-person presence. Salon Ardor is such a lovely place, with great stylists whom you can tell all care for each other & for their clients. As an Asian w/ thick straight hair, I've experienced upcharges at other salons before for having so much hair (lol) and have been given haircuts and styles that weren't quite for my hair type or my lifestyle needs. But the girls at Salon Ardor are great - they know how to work with my hair (and are POC themselves), are incredibly kind and knowledgeable (and answer any of my fleeting thoughts and offhand questions), and they don't shy away from either asking for my opinion or offering their expert opinion! I loved that I was in confident, assured hands. I know I was bombarding my stylist Ashley with questions left & right (and running off of 1 hour of sleep so I have no clue what I was even saying tbh), but she was so friendly, caring, and sweet about it. I've been going to Cherry at Salon Ardor for the past 2 years and my go-to stylist for balayage highlights. Since I have Asian dark hair she's taken my hair lighter each time on a safe level (so it doesn't get damage) and every time it looks amazing. Cherry really knows what she's doing and always takes the time to understand what I want. Plus, she's super cool to hang out with while she works her magic. The front desk girls are always really nice and they write your name on a pad at your chair station which gives it a really personal touch and feel. I did not like my haircut at all. My hair was left uneven, unblended, awkward layers, face framing pieces that are chunky and awkward. I let the salon know my unhappiness in hopes of a refund so I could have it fixed elsewhere and they refused and suggested I return to have it fixed. I regret returning because the 2nd time I left with super thin and stringy hair. I don't understand how this happened because the other reviews are so great.
