Seated promply for our 7 PM reservation. Glanced over the Valentine's Specials. I went with the Best on the Main Line, their French Onion Gratin Soup and the Crab Cakes. I was able to sub the Spinach out for Carrots & Zucchini. Menu said you can have anything your way. The Soup was delicious, the Crab cake was delicious as well. More Crab then filler. BYOB!! Yesterday we went to Ryan Christopher to celebrate my mother's birthday. The staff had just returned from vacation and they were sooo welcoming and loving. Even though this was our first time here they treated us as family. It's a small intimate restaurant with a casual feel. All of the staff were eager to assist, offered warm smiles and displayed caring energy. The food was fresh, flavorful and came in healthy portions. I forgot to take pictures of the appetizers because we were hungry. My son said the cheesesteak egg rolls were great. My mom loved the French onion soup and I enjoyed the Cesar salad. None of us finished our entrees because we saved room for dessert. Normally I can easily pick one dessert however I struggled to narrow it down. The pictures don't do the quality of the food justice. This is the cutest BYOB with large portions. The food is delicious! I have been here twice in the last month. First was a brunch with family. They have a covered patio that makes it perfect for a little party. 16-18 people at most! I had the shrimp and grits. Great flavor. The grits could've been cooked a little longer but a lot of people enjoy the gritty grit of it best. The pancakes were divine! With just a drop of syrup you have perfection. When I came back for dinner, I got the coconut shrimp. Butterflied with an orange marmalade you can't get any better. Crispy, crunchy and light. I think it is the higher quality meat that made the cheesesteak egg rolls better than I've had in the past. A thicker roll dough with seasoned ketchup! Delectable and the provolone cheese hit the spot. The Milan salad was perfect. Initially I didn't think thousand island would be good on it so I asked for it on the side. It DOES work! Loved this quaint and charming eatery for brunch! There's indoor and outdoor seating. It's a byob! Prices are surprisingly affordable for large quality portions! They were able to accommodate a reservation for our party of 10 with ease. Everyone enjoyed their meal. Service was fantastic. The owner stopped by for a visit and made us feel like regulars. What a lovely restaurant in this quaint town. The owner is magnificent and makes you feel at home. The service is superb and the food is just amazingly good. The prices are great and portions very generous. They have many options but not too many. I'd truly like to try them all. We just returned from our third anniversary dinner in a row at Ryan Christopher's, one of a half dozen or more times we've eaten there. If the fact that we've chosen to spend so many of our anniversaries there isn't a sufficient comment on how much we love eating there, I'll mention that we've never had a single meal that wasn't superb from start to finish. Tonight was no exception: we had Crab Bisque, Crispy Coconut Shrimp, Poached Pear Salad, Jumbo Lump Crab Cakes (Voted best of the Main Line), Grilled Red Snapper Livornese, Coconut Chocolate Cheese Cake, and Blueberry Lattice Pie, each and every one up to the celestial standard of Ryan Christopher's. For those who don't know, the restaurant is family owned and run, from the chef down to the servers. It occupies a corner property in a mostly residential neighborhood in Narberth, PA. The ambiance is more like a homey country inn than a fine restaurant, but a fine restaurant it is: it won the Main Line Tines Readers' Choice for Best BYOB on the Mainline in 2025 -- well deserved. Prices are in line with other top-quality restaurants, but since it's a BYO there's no over-priced liquor, so the bottom line is delightfully reasonable -- and since the portions are very generous, you might find yourself with some scrumptious leftovers for the next day's dinner: we almost always do. This restaurant was ranked as one of the top brunch spots in the suburbs by Philadelphia Magazine, and it did not disappoint! The Breakfast Sliders were phenomenal for a reasonable $11.99 in this crazy time of inflation. The Louisiana style maple syrup hot sauce was a delectable mixture of sweetness and spice that was perfect for dipping the biscuit sandwich and home fries. So excited to have this BYOB in the neighborhood. The staff were very friendly and right on time with service. There is street parking close by, so you can walk right up to the storefront. This spot is my lowkey Brunch spot. It's a small and everyone in there is personable. It is in a close tight-knit neighborhood of Narbeth. Normally, I do not spill the beans on my secret spots, but this spot has a BOMB brunch for a BOMB VALUE. Every time I come here I give the chef my good graces because I am happy with the meal I get. I have been here for bunch on 4 different occasions and dinner on 1 occasion and never been disappointed. The short-rib hasher is a crowd favorite and now it is one of my favorite brunch items from here. The flavors blended nicely, the potatoes were crisp yet soft to the bite. The eggs had a little run to them, but not enough to be overwhelming. This location has a chokehold on my wallet and I wouldn't have It any other way lol. Did I mention is BYOB! A quaint family feeling restaurant tucked in a neighborhood. This restaurant popped up on my google search so we decided to try it on a Friday night. I was able to call that day and make a reservation at 5:30. When we got there it was pretty empty & we were seated right away. It got busier as time passed. You could tell that most of their customers were regulars! We ordered the cheesesteak egg rolls and chicken parm to share. Both had very generous portions & were perfect to share between the two of us. Both were AMAZING. The egg rolls were so crisp on the outside and the filling was delicious. The chicken parm was the best I've ever had. Every bite was filled with the crispy batter, a decent amount of sauce and gooey cheese. We ended with a slice of their snickers pie. Back when I worked across the street in Narberth, I'd get Ryan Christopher's for lunch as often as possible. There are so many delicious menu items to choose from and the staff is truly so kind. Last night while visiting the area, I placed an order to pick up dinner. I used the Yelp app to schedule it for 6 PM and got the French Onion Au Gratin and the Toasted Goat Cheese and Beet Salad. Two of my all time favorites here. When I arrived to pick them up (a few minutes early) they were ready and my soup was still very hot. Everything was packaged perfectly so I could place it in my car without any spills. By the time I got back to eat, my soup was still warm (honestly the perfect temperature because the cheese hadn't gotten too stiff). The toasted goat cheese was as delicious as I had remembered. I really wish that there was a place in the city where I could get this same salad - it is my favorite!!! Another menu highlight at Ryan Christopher's is their burgers. I've tried multiple burger options and every single one is delicious and the fries are great too! I wish I were still a minute away from Ryan Christopher's every weekday because it is truly an incredible establishment. As an FYI, they are not open for lunch right now due to staffing shortages. read more

The service was sub parr, very unfriendly wait staff. Specifically asked for no onions in my dinner because of a food sensitivity and they were all throughout the liver and no checking back to see if everything was ok even as I asked if something on the plate had onions and the response was no it's only the skin on the smashed potatoes. Very lucky I didn't have a major allergic reaction. Then the bill came and I was charged the full amount for my meal. First of all, Phyllis the owner and her staff are absolutely amazing. We had an 8-top celebrating my birthday brunch and each staff member was beyond attentive and kind to us. The food was absolutely delicious. I recommend the short rib hash and the bananas foster French toast. No one in our party regretted their meals. We just went to Ryan Christopher for the first time because our friend, who was in the hotel/restaurant business for many decades, said it was her favorite restaurant. I was surprised at first because it looks like a neighborhood restaurant in Kensington or South Philly with a working class clientele, which Ryan Christopher also seems to have. It is so NOT Main Line! But oh my goodness, THE FOOD is as good as in the fanciest upscale center city palaces of gastronomy! The mussels, crab cakes, salmon dishes are spectacular, and the portion sizes are obscene! We left with enough for two more full dinners. And do not forget the homemade desserts, which are world class! Prices are very reasonable; every staff person is super-friendly (our server, Kelsie, was delightful), and it is BYOB! My husband and I have dined at Ryan Christopher's on several different occasions. Every time we leave, we're stuffed and more importantly satisfied. Although we've never dined here for dinner the breakfast and lunch options are great. They have something for everyone from waffle egg sandwiches, chocolate chip pancakes, to poached pear salads and Thai chicken wraps. Everything we've tried has been tasty. The restaurant has expanded their seating area. They removed the bar/ griddle area and have introduced a larger seating area. In the warmer months you can done outside. I'm giving it a 4 because the service, although friendly, is not always attentive. read more
