Hello doctor any chance you coming back to lancaster bartz?

Hi Abdullah - Thank you for your warm message. No unfortunately I will not. But I do see patients at Joshua Health Center in Downtown Los Angeles some days of the week where I serve as their medical director.

Wow what a shame! I read some of the bad reviews. I wish they had a good experience…read more Recently my insurance carrier changed and they asked me if I wanted to change doctors. I asked to stay with Dr. Matian. My experience with the PA named Jackie has been consistently positive. My experience with Dr. Martin also has been consistently positive. Sometimes he cannot fulfill my requests (like this week) and he provides an explanation. It doesn't change my opinion of how accommodating and compassionate he has been. Yes, it is hard to reach someone at the office. My experience with the staff in-person has been positive. There is a male worker and Colleen who are consistently gracious and have follow through.

I don't typically write reviews unless I feel strongly compelled to do so. Unfortunately, my…read moreexperiences with Dr. Matian and his office have become increasingly frustrating, and I feel obligated to share them so others can make an informed decision before becoming patients. If I could give this practice zero stars, I would. I've been a patient for a little over three years, and I would not recommend this office to anyone seeking any sort of timely, attentive, or effective medical care. I have never actually seen Dr. Matian in person, even after multiple attempts to make in-person appointments. My most recent appointment was a brief phone call that lasted a little over 3 minutes. During that call, I was told an order for blood work would be submitted. A week later, after hearing nothing, I had to contact the office myself to follow up because the order had never been placed. What was even more concerning was that once I followed up, the office asked me to identify which blood tests had been ordered. I'm still not sure why they couldn't verify this information with the "doctor" who was supposed to have submitted the order, or review my medical chart. As the patient, I should not be responsible for tracking down basic information about my own treatment plan because the office failed to document or process it correctly. The entire experience made me question the purpose of the appointment in the first place. If my provider cannot follow through on the care discussed during our call, and patients have to chase down their own orders and treatment information afterward, something is clearly not working. Based on my most recent experience, and an overall abysmal three years of "care", I would strongly discourage anyone from going to this practice. The lack of follow through, communication, and attention to patient care has been extremely disappointing and at times alarming.

Not because he has to, but because that's the way he operates his practice, with care and professionalism. I recently had an experience where I needed a prescription filled. He waited on hold with CVS for 45 minutes on the doctors line to get me my prescription (I know this because he called me back to let me know he was still trying and there was hold music in the background) - on a Friday night. I don't know many providers who would go that far out of their way. He's never been judgmental, always been positive, and I've always been treated with respect and compassion. I could say a million great things about him... (and that's saying a lot coming from me). Dr B has my highest regard and recommendation. He's a phenomenal provider! I will not tolerate his discourteous act of Service towards me. I mentioned I would like to be seen by a female doctor (woman of color) I did not make this statement to imply division I stated this base on my comfortability and my rights as a woman, Dr. Borookim was very dismissive and stated "I do not care that you are implying you want to be seen by a woman doctor of color that doesn't do anything for me" "it's not a serious matter so we can schedule you something here at Chinatown service" that's not my request. For Dr. Borookim to make this statement, lets me know Dr. Borookim discriminates against women and he can not help me on my health journey. As I inform Dr. Borookim I am in urgent need to see a Obgyn I am in pain, I've been to the ER they have provided me with scans and other documents to verify my health condition and once again Dr. Borookim was discourteous. I will make a call to corporate and report this doctor also change my physician. No one at all specially women and women of color should have to experience this type of treatment at all.

He proves that a doctor's visit doesn't need to be hours long to be thorough, thoughtful, detailed, effective, and--most importantly--to make you feel genuinely seen and heard. He is incredibly prompt and respectful of your time, while somehow never making the appointment feel rushed. He's kind, funny, caring, attentive, and has a way of immediately putting your mind at ease. I left feeling completely confident that my health is in very good hands. I'm newly postpartum, and he has been wonderful in helping me navigate the reins of this new chapter and come up with a plan for a truly healthy future so I can be my best self for my baby. He was incredibly thorough, provided me with excellent referrals, and made the entire process so seamless. I was able to have my labs done immediately after my appointment, received the results that same day, and he had already reviewed and addressed them with me. That kind of attentiveness and follow-through is so appreciated and, unfortunately, not something you find everywhere. He even went the extra mile discussing medication options and copays with me, actively trying to find the most affordable choices--definitely not something most PCPs go out of their way to do. Dr. Thomassian is the epitome of a doctor who genuinely loves what he does and truly cares about helping people. My husband and I both agree that we'll proudly and gladly keep him as our PCP until we're old and gray. Sorry, Dr. Thomassian--you're stuck with us for life! Couldn't recommend him more highly. Also, the staff was really great and super welcoming. I felt right at home from the first second I joined the clinic. Thanks for everything!
