The smoke billowed in while the fire raged due to the fireman kicking in my door and leaving it open for days. Since Oct. 2019, my condo is still not ready to move in. And my unit was only smoke, nothing else. I have told this company several times about smelling smoke and getting severe headaches from just walking in 5 min.s to view what HAS been completed. I know it is in my carpet, that's all that is left to hold the smell, unless it it the heating and a/c ducts that they stated were cleaned already. They constantly do not address my concern with the carpet. I keep saying what if someone has asthma, allergies, etc. From this company, to the project manager, onward. I will not sign off on any of their work when the time comes, which will be soon, I hope, bc of liability. They can accept the liability if they are so correct. Note:They say they are not liable if someone gets sick later. They take no responsibility for their incorrect clean up. All they want to do is be handed money from the main ins. company on the condo complex and ignore my concerns after I PAY the INSURANCE money to the main policy on this condo. I feel the money collected is not be used to my advantage. Very disappointed in the owner passing the buck and the mitigation guy ignoring my concerns who is working on the job site. I had no choice in this company. The condo Assoc. did. I would never use them.

I contacted them for an estimate to update and redo their shoddy work. I met with them for over an hour and discussed in detail what I was looking for. When I got the estimate, they hadn't listened to any of the details I discussed, and submitted a ridiculously overpriced estimate to fix their bad work. Avoid using them, unless you want poor workmanship and unfinished projects.

The feedback from everyone so far has simply been "WOW". The tile plan had some challenges but their guy created artful solutions and the work was exceptionally executed. Robin and Zach said yes enthusiastically to every request I made yet did the job very affordably. Our first project was done over the winter of 2015-2016, and was a complete redo of our kitchen and breakfast nook. As a retired educator that worked over 25 years in the summer, with a number of general contractors, I know what is good work. Our kitchen turned out beautiful, with new custom cabinets; new granite countertop; new tile flooring; new backsplash; new plumbing and electrical; and some new appliances. Since we live there for 5 months every summer (we are Florida snowbirds), we wanted more than the original kitchen came with. The next winter, we had UCC completely redo our master bathroom, again with amazing results. We had a jacuzzi tub (that we never used) removed and our shower enlarged and changed to a glass-surrounded, rain shower, with newly tiled walls and plumbing. We had the floor re-tiled; installed a custom built, double-vanity with side storage piers; repositioned our heating & AC to vent from under the vanity; and all new lighting and exhaust fans. Our next project with UCC was a complete redo of of our 2nd floor, guest bathroom during the winter of 2017-2018. This one was gutted to the studs and a new tub and tiled shower (with a decorative niche) was installed; new drywall and a new tiled floor; a new vanity with carrera marble sink; plus the heat & AC duct was moved and now vents from under the vanity. All plumbing and electrical were also replaced with new. This winter we plan to have the entire 2nd floor replaced with hardwood flooring. This will include 3 bedrooms; a den; and the stairs coming up from the first floor. I would not even consider getting any other bids, based on what has been done by UCC in the past. Yes, there have been some mistakes along the way, but everything was taken care of and adjusted by Robin and Zack. Having work done while we are 1000 miles away, has never been a problem with this business.

We we're hesitate to use them at first because there isn't much reviews on them and also our community is a little picky but after seeing my neighbors sunroom with cathedral ceilings and fireplace which was done a year ago, we decided to use them. I must say, it was a great dealing with Henry. He is very helpful and would ask me more then once if everything was good, took pictures for me to see progress. Just a really good experience. He even repair a leak on my roof for practically nothing. One more thing, when my husband and I bought the home, originally we had gotten quoted from two companies what we wanted done, and Henry beat their prices!! I will be using him again to update my kitchen in a couple of months. It kind of reminds me of that saying, don't judge a book by its cover. So glad I decided to go with my neighbors suggestion.

The problem Jake and his team eventually found was complicated, related to air flow within our home and the performance of the dampers. It took substantial time and effort to diagnose, after which GC replaced the dampers and performed a few other tasks to ensure the system ran properly. Through it all, Jake was responsive, polite, informative, and thorough. The problem was resolved and I was billed fairly for the repairs, not for the many service calls he provided. Again, this was stellar customer service, performed diligently through what I'm sure was a very busy time for their business. I highly recommend GC to anyone who needs HVAC help in the MD/DE Eastern shore area.
