I have always been a person to put off my dental treatment due to very bad experiences growing up. I avoided it to the point of continuous pain and my neighbor recommended Dr. Savage and Dr. Kay's. I was very pleased with the nurturing comfort and concern their staff expressed right off the bat. The technology was cutting edge. Digital x-rays and intra-oral photos appeared on a big screen right in front of me the second they took them. Which allowed the doctor to point out the reasons and be very detailed in explaining why I was in need of a crown. They offer a same day crown service and showed me the technology they use there in the office to create my crown from start to finish in just a few hours. I was able to come in in the morning, have my tooth prepared, and return after lunch and walk out with a permanent crown! They made me feel right at home and suggested with my dental anxiety that I try the laughing gas with Pandora radio and headphones at no extra cost, in which I HIGHLY recommend!!! It made me so relaxed and the time pass by so quickly! During treatment they also noticed a cold sore on my lip which they used a laser kill the cold sore and the irritating pain! The best part was I didn't feel a thing and they didn't have to give me a shot. I am more than pleased with the experience I had and have booked my next cleaning appointment. Words can't express the way I feel about this office. It is AMAZING!! In the past 38 years, I've had the most horrible experiences in dentistry a person can ever have. You name it, I've had it. I was a guinea pig for my aunt in Mexico when she was in dental school, I went to the dentists in Tijuana and Mexico (because it was more affordable for my parents), I've been to garage dentists in Orange County, etc.. I just finally stopped going to dentists all together because there had never been a time I wasn't in pain while sitting in the dental chair. :(( Even when I raised my hand and signaled to the dentist/assistant that I was in pain, they would just say, "We're almost done....We're almost done....." UGH!! I have been going to Dr. Savage for less than a year on a referral from two of my co-workers who had nothing but GREAT things to say about this office. I took a chance (because I was in so much pain). After my first treatment visit, I can't explain how well I've been taken care of. :)) Everyone in that office cares about every single patient as if they were FAMILY. I've had major work like crowns (delivered on the same day) without even feeling a little bit of pain. OMG I can't even believe what I tell people now......I LOVE GOING TO MY DENTIST!!! I've been coming here for over 17 years. I started out with Dr Kay and she was the best EVER!! All the ladies in the office are extremely nice and professional and you will never be disappointed in the excellent service they provide. I now see Dr Savage who is the BOMB!!!! They are EXCELLENT with my 2 young sons. My kids LOVE and I do mean LOVE coming to their appointments. My husband who is the biggest chicken has admitted to me that this is the best dental office he has experienced. Again! I haven`t have teeth in 20 years and I am looking forward to getting them from Dr. R Savage. The other dentists I have had in the past have always made my dentures make me look like donkey from sherk and after seeing the ones that he has made for me i really look forward to having them once again. I too have had many bad experiences with other so called dentist that I have put my trust in.. My sister told me about Dr. Savage and I am glad she did.. I have been going to this dental practice for over 10 years and have had only good experiences; however, I recently had a visit that had me thinking well after I left the office. After an exceptionally stressful week as a primary caregiver, I made it to the dentist's office (after rescheduling for the 3rd time!). I've been going to Dr. Kay's office for 20+ years and continue to get my perfect teeth (yes, I'm bragging) cleaned by Ellen, Brenda and the rest of awesome staff. When Dr. Savage took over the office, I was worried it would change for the worse but it's still the warm and friendly place where everyone is happy to see you when you come in. I have had a few terrible experiences with dentists in my life. Hence the reason I was forced to deal with my teeth after 15 years or neglect. I have never really been afraid of much in my life except dentist's as being a big baby about it, I was pleasantly surprised to find Dr Savage and Dr Kay! I appreciate that Dr. Nguyen called me after my review to explain the treatment choice. He explained that the decision to use a cemented crown instead of a screw-retained one was due to the spacing between my teeth. The conversation was professional, and the explanation sounded valid, but the reality is that the crown failed in less than two years. I had to pay for a replacement, effectively almost doubling the cost of the implant. It's disappointing to incur that cost when the outcome suggests the original approach may not have been the best long-term choice. read more

This is the best dentist I have ever been to. The staff is so friendly, helpful and know how to treat people coming in to get dental work done. It is a stress free environment and they provide many extras to help you feel comfortable. I asked them why they are so good - and she said that the philosophy was built on "Comfort Dentistry" - and they want to make the experience the most comfortable and enjoyable as possible. The front office is amazing (Bonnie, Letty and Amanda) and I have never had any issues with billing. The hygienists are wonderful-shoutout to Kelly! Dr. Savage's staff is always very professional and they constantly update their technology to maintain the best customer experience.
