The owner's response is entirely false. The restaurant had gotten the reservation time wrong (even though the groom had called earlier in the day to confirm) and there was no "simply told him he should have called earlier". He flat out threatened the groom. Profanities were only yelled AFTER we were all outside and Ryan chased us down to start screaming at us. No hostesses were ever yelled at since we had no reason to be mad at them. The hostesses were actually quite nice and apologetic about the whole debacle. I would also advise that people be hesitant of any glowing reviews that happen to appear in the next few days. If you have been to the Roadhouse before and it was more than a year ago, forget what you know and check it out again ! Being born and raised in the good ole Mint City I grew up with the Roadhouse, formerly Ye Ole Roadhouse, recently changed to Ryan's Roadhouse. Man has this place changed over the years, and for the better, it used to be full of 6 ft tall dark wood booths that made the interior really dark and woodsy. They have remodeled and it is much brighter inside now. They have a nice patio on the back in the summer that often has live entertainment. They also have redone the basement and have music down there. The food is good, last time I went we had the veggie pizza and it was DELICIOUS ! If your are not from 'around here' expect to feel a little out of place, as everyone seems to know everyone, but hey, if your visiting the area and need a good meal and a beer or two check it out, if you just need a good meal please read my review on Mancino's !! read more

This is a really good rustic steakhouse! I'm not from around here, but next time I'm in the area, I'll be back. The food was unique and yummy. The atmosphere made me feel right at home with the log cabin rustic ambiance. We sat out on the patio and enjoyed a sandwich and sweet potato fries to music that made me think I was young again! Ordered fish the batter on the fish was not cooked all the way. Some of my fish was raw. Told that waitress, she took my food and charged me for it. I thought she would send a manager over she didn't. I seen several health code violations. The waitress spent more time off the floor than on. read more

The onion bloom was really good but the burger tasted dry and fake like a frozen patty. My dad got a ribeye and asked for medium rare and for rare with it burnt on one side. The staff is very nice and did a great job. I wouldn't recommend it for the food based off what we got. read more

Last two visits food was poor and service was lacking. They served me burnt lasagna and then replaced it with burnt chicken. Server made us feel like we were the problem and we should just eat what we were served. I would like this place to be great, but currently it seems to be very inconsistent and lacks standards. read more

We really liked this place! We were in St. Johns for Band festival and stopped here for dinner after. We were greeted right away (even though we came in through a door that was not by the hostess stand). Service was very prompt and super friendly!! Menu was a good size, not too big not too small, and a nice variety. Ambiance was very cozy and clean!!! Log cabin feel with a beautiful rock fireplace. Food was really good! We had the Monte Cristo, the French Dip, my 17 the sirloin, and the turkey club wrap. The sirloin came with the salad bar which was great as well! We will definitely come back here next time we are in town!!!! read more

Great food and Great Service. Love the wet burrito and mini tacos.

They use frozen french fries, frozen hamburger patties and I think, frozen fish. Salmon was over cooked, wife's fish was inedible and my son couldn't finish his burger it was that gross. Servers were fine and helpful but the price you pay you would expect much, much better food. read more

My GF, my sister and I ate at Ryan's on a Sunday evening. We started with the Mini Tacos. They were excellent and the portion big enough for four. My GF ordered a Special and did not like it. Too plain and too dry (Wild Mushroom Linguine). It was removed from our bill. She gave five stars to the salad and soup bar. I agree. Sis had no complaints about her Chicken Parmessan. My entree was North Atlantic Salmon. I opted for the Rum Glaze. Outstanding. If I had been alone, this review would earn five stars. Service was excellent. read more

Steak A Smidge Overcooked, But Grilled Veggies And Loaded Smashed Potatoes Were Great.

We thought we would try some place different. Well what a mistake. The chicken wasn't done. When we sent it back they just put it on another plate and re-served it to us. When we said something they said there was nothing they could do about it. REALLY- since when is there nothing you can do about it. You offer a different dish and remove it from the bill. They did neither. We had to pay for it. We will NOT be going back EVER. read more

Had a good experience. Had the turkey wrap, very light but filling. Turkey breast had the skin on it, and it was grilled, which gave it that grilled taste. They serve bread with two kinds of butters, and so you don't really need appetizers. They have Pepsi products, and a salad bar, with 2 soups. If you don't like animal furs, they do have them on the walls as decoration. Food was good, next time we are up there on business it's a good local eatery. Friendly wait staff. read more

Really surprised by the pleasant decor, great service and good food. Ordered the lunch special salad bar and sandwich for only $8.49. Good spring mix lettuce and fresh veggies on salad bar as well as 4 pasta salads. I chose BLT sandwich with thick bacon. Coffee was delicious. read more

Not sure what's going on with this restaurant but it's gone drastically downhill from when I first ate here... just had the absolute worst pizza I ever ate... called and ordered it 40 min ahead of schedule, still ended up waiting 30 additional min to get the pizza because they burnt the first one ... get home to eat the pizza and the cheese on it was not even melted, crust totally under cooked .. it's disappointing because the food and service used to be great and now I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.... read more

Awesome atmosphere with both upstairs and downstairs dining. Good food and great service. Only had to send food back a couple times and they always took care of it when they did mess up. Really recommend the steaks and burgers here they are the best in town, aside from my own lol. read more

1st time at Ryan's, I was brought here by friends who live in the area. They all remembered the slogan warm beer & lousy food. Which was funny. Beer choice was fine, I chose a local IPA & the food was regular fair nothing extravagant but good. What really caught my eye to the point that I'm writing a review is that I noticed while eating & visiting friends was the staff. Now mind you unless you paid attention you really couldn't tell who worked there(they dressed super casual & no one wore a name tag/ or uniform shirt to differentiate them from costumers. But that wasn't an issue for me. I guess it's their thing. Anyhow it was the staff consistently scanning the room to make sure tables were bussed, the floor was clean, and customers were always checked on. I was impressed by that. read more
