Yes, sorry to confess, but I'm one those more enticed by exotic food and drink than the event itself. The problem however was that to attend, I needed a "Morning Suit." Something as simple as a tuxedo absolutely would not do. So, since I doubted that I would ever have need of a morning suit in the future, I thought it best to merely rent one along with a double cuffed turned down collared shirt. So it was this that brought me to Novias Bridal, assuming that besides wedding dresses and taking care of wedding plans they most likely suppled formal wear for men. When I arrived I found that you couldn't just walk into Novias. There is a doorbell button which I pushed, but nothing happened. However as I was leaving, someone came to the door. I asked about renting a morning suit, but we seemed to have some misunderstanding between a morning suit and a tailcoat suit. But it sort of got beside the point as they don't seem to carry anything like that and would have to find out whether or not a supplier had them and then order. So, I gave that up but while there I saw an amazing selection of wedding dresses which, of course, I envied. A young girl was looking one over, a dress I really liked and know that I would certainly look far better in it than her; and probably more deserving of it too. Don't you agree? So for wedding dresses and wedding planning they seem to be very good, but for gentlemen's attire whether you're going to a wedding or be in a wedding they don't seem to have much.

I was recently in a wedding as the best man and had my suit fitted through Men's Wearhouse…read more Unfortunately, when I went to pick it up the day before the wedding, the suit did not fit properly, which created some last-minute stress. That said, Sam stepped in immediately and did everything he could to make it right. He worked quickly to find a replacement suit that worked in time for the wedding and was incredibly helpful, apologetic, and focused on making sure I left satisfied. During the event, a button popped off and I had to sew it back on myself, which added to the frustration. Overall, the experience could have been smoother, but I truly appreciate the effort Sam made to resolve the situation. The store also refunded a portion of the rental price, which I felt was fair. I don't place blame on anyone -- these were unfortunate circumstances -- but I do want to recognize Sam for going above and beyond to take care of his customer.

Debby treated me great. Small alterations and I pick it up in July and can't wait. It is too colors black from the waist up and sleeves and royal blue the rest. Very clearly the largest physical store State & Liberty we have been too, but also I am advised in the country, this is a very open layout to view the men's clothing offerings. Quickly welcomed and asked if we are familiar with the brand, the staff is on point with customer service. The brand is relatively new and they want to make sure customers know what sets their products apart for the menswear pack. Athletic cuts and wrinkle free is what set them apart to us. Staff is excellent in their knowledge of the brand and fabrics. Declining the water, coffee and beer options offered us as we browse, we feel taken care of with their hands-off approach to our visit. Quick to help with sizes though and know they are available to assist if need be, we immediately like being here and stopping in. We walked away with a sweater and a shirt today. With athletic cut, non-wrinkle, contemporary cool, high end looking options to offer my husband who has an image to uphold in the world, we continue to love this brand. From suits to shirts purchased in the past and also the sweater and pants we are walking out with today, we have not been disappointed in the quality or cut of State & Liberty. Most of the shirts are in the $95 range, where the blazers and jackets are in the $250--500 range. The store itself is very roomy, cozy and nicely setup for formal, casual and athletic wear. The company was founded in 2015 in Ann Arbor, Michigan by University of Michigan friends Steven Fisher and Lee Moffie, the current joint CEOs of the company. The two decided to name the company after an intersection in Ann Arbor, in honor of the town. The idea for State & Liberty originated with Moffie and Fisher believing men with an athletic build wearing off-the-rack dress shirts lacked a professional look. Inspired by Lulu Lemon and athleisure apparel trends that stray away from traditional cotton fabric, the duo prototyped hundreds of fabrics and dress shirt fits on professional hockey players to accommodate their 'V-shaped' body type. Eventually, they settled with their athletic fitting dress shirt made from Athletic Performance Fabric (APF). State and Liberty started as a fully self-funded small business.
